  1. I tailgated with them for years, I was in school when they started hosting, and it was a great meeting spot for years. It was great for away games, too. Just had to find the blimp. Same experience, but I bribed the ticket taker $200, present and push method. Then I had $800 to spend on beer inside.
  2. BOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  3. Word is there was disagreement about how to handle his injury.
  4. It was a great game. I thought Shiner’s Ball control would win, but Refugio’s big plays were the difference. In addition to that huge TD to take the lead late, they had a 40 yard pass and kickoff return for touchdowns as went.
  5. Refugio just hit an 87 yd pass on 4th and 12 to go up 25-21 pending xp. 4:04 left in the 4th.
  6. Going to Shiner - Refugio with the kids this week. Looking forward to your breakdown Beau Vine.
  7. Nevermind, when I clicked the link I saw it I assume he's entering the portal, but he doesn't say anything.
  8. Boston next weekend. Thurs: Holiday Pops at Symphony Hall Fri: Czarface (as part of a holiday variety show) at the Wilbur (It might just be 7L and Esoteric, still don't know if Inspectah Deck will be there) Expect both to be a fun time, will have to pack my nice boots.
  9. I'll give the lower sections a day or two and let you know. Thanks.
  10. Looking for 2 on the east side, preferably sections 27-31. Open to whatever.

    REK

It was a good read. I'd like to personally apologize to Emmylou Harris as I was part of that rowdy crowd at Luckenbach in 1998.
  12. We saw William Beckmann last night at Cheatham St. I had only seen him at the REK fan appreciation show do a couple acoustic songs. The full set with a full band was a really good show. He sold out last night and they added another show tonight; I fully recommend heading to San Marcos tonight.
  13. No AKs today.
  14. A number 6? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
  15. Sounds like you want a red wing. 1155 are the taller heels.
  16. Akers > McWilliams > Mackovic > Mack
  17. This is all at the place listed above?
  18. I saw him at xfinity center outside of Boston. Was worth it.
  19. My understanding was a surgery left him unable to sing, so it was a forced retirement. Maybe it was bullshit; maybe it's not and he's recovered enough to tour again.
  20. Man, Charlie Robison is playing Floore's in December. Mt. Joy playing Stubb's next week. When am I going to have time for fishing??
  21. Ok, well, gf is gonna be in town and we'll spend the night in San Antonio. So, I just bought tickets to both William Beckmann (11/10) and Charley Crockett (11/12). She's a New England girl, but has embraced my Texas music roots. She doesn't really like The Scabs though... I guess there was a time and a place for them.
  22. Looked those both up. I bought my son Forbidden Island for Christmas last year and he promptly lost 1/3 of the pieces before we tried to play it. The Quest for El Dorado looks good too. Thanks!
  23. This is a cool thread. BoomMF... what a collection!! Why I'm posting here now... my kids (7 and 9) asked me to restart game night. Previously we had focused on junior versions of well-known games (Catan and Ticket to Ride jr.), cooperative games, and stuff with minimal reading. Now that the youngest has switched to avid reader status, we have a wider range of games from which to choose. Currently they are getting into Pokemon and Magic the Gathering, but I'd like to shift to fully-contained games. Looking for a decent amount of strategy, no horror/fear themes, and a play time of about 90 minutes. Would they be ready for real Catan or Ticket to Ride? What would y'all suggest?
