  1. He did this at the Robert Earl Keen fan appreciation show after his "final" shows at Floore's. I wasn't really paying attention and then he belted this out and everyone started paying attention. Also saw him at Cheatham Street a few months later, really good voice.

Been looking for this one for a while, The Avalanches - Wildflower. Think it is back in print because online price dropped from ~$150 to ~$30.
  3. These are great for cheese steaks. Each puck is the perfect amount for an HEB bakery bolillo.
  4. Port A party boat trip July 8 or 9. Gonna take the kids out for a short trip. Who should I use?
  5. Today’s harvest in front; rest of the week in the background. San Marzano, Juliet, Early girl, and 4th of July tomatoes. Turned most of them into 2 qts of tomato sauce.
  6. Holy Basil looking really good, so I made some Pad Ka-Prao.
  7. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!
  8. Cooking BBQ was my choice for Father’s Day. Ribs, beef cheeks, Southside Market sausage, beans, potato salad, collareds, and green spaghetti. It was good; plus I had my old man over.
  9. No, you went because your friend worked there. You paid for a salad bar and got whatever steak you wanted.
  10. Fuck Kyrie!
  11. I'd buy a copy of Square Foot Gardening and make each child their own small raised bed. I use the natural gardener's calendar for timing what to plant when.
  12. Who does drip irrigation? My thoughts are: dual outlet timer 1/2" distribution tubing with barbed fittings 1/4" tubing to plants with individual drippers for larger plants and plant in fabric pots 1/4" poly dripline for greens, flowers, and peas/beans I'm sure it sounds way simpler and easier than it will actually be. For those that I done, what tips, advice, etc... do you have that might help?
  13. Hate those fuckers... already killed 4 or so on my tomatoes this year.
  14. Brined and fried chicken thigh Homemade pimento Fresh picked jalapeno Sandwich
  15. So 4-5 cooks in, thought it was time to go for the brisket. I got a prime packer at Randall’s; shoutout to @jimmyjazz for posting about the deal. Ran it fat side up around 270, used jealous devil lump and chunks of pecan. Hit 203 and probe tender after about 11 hours. Rested for 2. It turned out pretty well.
  16. I ate sunfish out of Waller Creek when I was about 5. AMA.
  17. Went to Great British today. Sausage Roll, the lady’s breakfast bake, and the raspberry peach bar were all delicious.
  18. In high school I'd always advocate Bert's for lunch on whatever day the T-Man special occurred.
  19. Just put in 4 new 4x8 beds. Gonna get a bulk soil delivery. Any recommendations on what to get? Straight compost, compost and loam, pre-mix, etc… And who to buy from? I’m in Dripping Springs… Gardenville, Kinser Ranch, GeoGrowers are the options I know.
  20. I think the 208 was best; it was also the thickest one. Next time I’ll drop the deflector in around 190 and pull around 205. The 208 was just barely overdone on the bottom. I got a boneless butt and sliced it myself.
  21. Pork Steaks Did them with no deflector plate, just over a bed of coals. Ran from 260-280, mopped with a modified version of Snow’s mop and pulled them from 190 to 208 to see what was best. They were very good. Next time I’ll get bone in and have the butcher cut them to ~3” thick.
  22. John Mueller's squash side dish- I think we're safe from being stabbed, so if you have a good version of this, please share!!
  23. Beef Cheeks turned out awesome. My grill settles in around 260, pulled at 204.
  24. Killed my first 2 tomato hornworms today. Snip snap!
