  1. Still time for Alabama to turn it over.
  2. I think that one was tougher because the receiver dove forward and his head went down. The 3rd down short throw incompletion last drive was 100% targeting.
  3. Um that's targeting
  4. He is actually rated a a top 5 QB prospect by Kiper, who's an idiot that has no ability to evaluate if a QB can make reads. But the issue is that there are also some idiots running NFL teams.
  5. Yeah, not saying he would have taken it. Unless maybe he somehow knew Jeff Fisher would be his coach.
  6. If VY had an NIL offer to come back for his senior season it would have definitely been 6M+ in 2025 dollars.
  7. Michigan went over their side of that 31-14 implied score in the first quarter. Obviously not because of their offense but still.
  8. Scared running by Orji, should have cut that in
  9. Agree that it should stand but if I had to guess I think he controlled it long enough to make it a pass. Only impressive thing he's done today.
  10. Milroe may have had enough hand strength to grip it until his hand snapped forward
  11. That might have been a forward pass
  12. Milroe trying to outdo Kevin Jennings.
  13. Not a forward pass. Ball was released right over the yard line and landed a foot behind it.
  14. I didn't say they're doing it consciously, I'm explaining why people chirp. If he truly thinks he's better then he's just a moron but I don't think that's better news for his team.
  15. It's because they are aware they're overmatched personnel-wise and are hoping to win the public confidence battle and then hope for a fast start in the game. Teams who believe they are evenly matched and have to play great to win don't chirp to the press all week. Only two groups do that, those who truly believe they're the best around and are insulted by anyone who questions that, and those who realize they are overmatched and are trying to trick themselves into believing and also get the opponent to play too emotionally especially at the start. Our defense needs to just use it to focus more, not to play angrier. If they execute then we will win. There was some bad Ant Hill again last game which could be a problem tomorrow, he got lost a few times on defense. Not if Texas wins. There are tens of thousands of us factoring in lack of travel and accommodation costs to go to the semifinal.
  16. Wondering about quarterfinal attendances everywhere. Current TickPick all-in get-in prices Peach Bowl - $33 Fiesta Bowl - $52 Sugar Bowl - $52 Rose Bowl - $158
  17. So they're exactly like Texas State. Well he's a fucking moron, start from there and it all makes sense.
  18. It is actually an interesting question. Will offenses see a drop in efficiency overall in the next year or two with the sudden disappearance of 24-25 year old QBs? (Except in Provo, of course)
  19. A&M blocked one in a huge situation but they're A&M so it just set up a 4th down stop.
  20. This is the way to fix the megaconference problem but the issue is of course that the conferences are making the decision and the smaller ones get run over every time because of the threat of a breakaway. The NCAA's refusal and/or inability to set up an FBS playoff made this the inevitable result.
  21. And what do you do when there are 6 teams left after your first round? Byes after that round?
  22. Still say give the top 4 conference champs a top 8 seed instead of top 4. That actually helps the 1 and 2 seeds by pushing bad conference champs into the 7 and 8 slots.
  23. The only things that can tear Texas down in the current CFP setup are internal poor performance, a drum beat of consistent negative press, and letting has-beens who wish things had stayed they way they used to be influence decisions. Mack Brown is absolutely a threat to create issues with the latter two. Texas already faces the most hostile local media and national media from their own program alumni in the country. For fuck's sake Desmond Howard spent the Gameday broadcast in Ann Arbor pimping his school and even using his own kid to do so. Meanwhile Sam "The Less Terrible" Acho fucking picked Clemson to beat Texas and win it all probably so the national media thinks he's super objective. You know, Kirk Bohls disease. Bohls, by the way, being an old Mack Brown chum still covering Texas in Austin but now going so for the Houston rag. Mack Brown can't take Texas down on his own but he can absolutely hurt Texas through his relationships. Inviting on a potential saboteur is idiotic no matter what, and it's the ones you think can't be too bad who are the most dangerous kind.
  24. Not really because part of the issue is how many teams who finished 3rd or eventually 4th in their conference will still make it. That's what makes it feel like less of a true championship playoff. Current guarantees: #1 Oregon versus winner of #9 Tennessee @ #8 Ohio St. #4 Arizona St. versus winner of #12 Clemson at #5 Texas #2 Georgia versus winner of #10 Indiana at #7 Notre Dame #3 Boise St. versus winner of #11 SMU at #6 Penn St. Changed guarantees: #1 Oregon versus winner of #9 Tennessee @ #8 Arizona St. #4 Penn St. versus winner of #12 Clemson at #5 Notre Dame #2 Georgia versus winner of #10 Indiana at #7 Boise St. #3 Texas versus winner of #11 SMU at #6 Ohio St. That's better but still not as great as it could have been. Using the 2009 conferences and assuming all teams are just as good, here is the result: Current guarantees: #1 Oregon (Pac-12 Champ) versus winner of #9 Boise St. (WAC Champ) @ #8 Indiana #4 Penn St. (Big Ten Champ) versus winner of #12 Arizona St. at #5 Notre Dame #2 Georgia (SEC Champ) versus winner of #10 SMU (C-USA Champ) at #7 Tennessee #3 Texas (Big 12 Champ) versus winner of #11 Alabama at #6 Ohio St. Changed guarantees: No changes needed Now obviously the season doesn't play out the same because schedules are so different (Ohio St. is probably Big Ten champ instead of Penn St., for example) but the interregionality is what makes it better with more conferences leading to more discussion and more excitement all season long. And teams like Indiana will have more losses if they had to play nearly everyone in their conference so they almost certainly wouldn't have been #8 with old conference alignments. Also note that the garbage ACC is left out completely (because SMU is C-USA).
