  1. There's the 2025 offense. Somebody has to screw up every time. That ball was right where it needed to be.
  2. Wow. Need to find a way to win if Campbell is out. 13-10 if necessary.
  3. Yikes, that series was just first page of the veer and shoot playbook. Not great, D.
  4. That's the awareness that should be better now. Play might be doomed but you can't run away from a guy who has a free run at you when you're starting from a standstill.
  5. Punch yourself in the balls for that word
  6. Left ankle twisted under the defender
  7. That works. Also, that is genuinely a fantastic throw by Manning compared to where he's been putting those. That right there is what Ewers was great at.
  8. The problem is I think the rule is written so that in a passing position as soon as the ball is going forward in the hand it is considered already the beginning of a forward pass. As noted above, that wording doesn't make sense in reality because QBs can pump fake. The tuck rule is a very old example of the problem with the rule and it still hasn't been changed. Refs got this one right and they're not the ones responsible for writing the rules.
  9. I agree if the ball does not go forward. That's the real problem on this play. He has the ball and the ball goes backward.
  10. I was wrong when I called him average and overrated a couple of weeks ago. He's not average. Actually I should clarify here. I mean he's not average for elite level teams. He's definitely FBS average.
  11. 48 At the time it was the second highest home run launch angle Statcast had recorded I think
  12. This is the most meta post in the history of the internet.
  13. While you're almost certainly correct it should be noted that I "am part of" conversations on surly all the time where I have no fucking idea what lots of the posts say. I don't have an ignore list but I certainly scroll right past lots of posts by known morons.
  14. There was a moment I wondered if I was being too mean when I called him a moron. I'm an idiot.
  15. Oh God yes please. He and Charlie Strong might be 1a and 1b, the reader may decide the order, on the list of dumbest people ever associated with Florida football.
  16. What a shock. This dipshit who pretends to be neutral reads story after story after story of this administration being malevolent, corrupt, and idiotic and decides to pipe up when he can offer a weak defense of something they've done. Great performance, moron.
  17. When OU got called for holding Ethan Burke on Mateer's long scramble I had to chuckle. Everything we've said for decades was and is 100% true. They completely kicked our ass several times and proper officiating wouldn't have changed those outcomes. But enough of our games with them would have been majorly affected to matter. That hold was absolutely illegal, absolutely affected the play, and absolutely would not have been called in the Big 12 from 2008 onward.
  18. Lol comparing Arch Manning's play to Chris Simms. 25 years later and people are still morons about Simms.
  19. They should put Arthur Smith in charge again but only for one day when it's time to decide on picking up the team option.
  20. While you're correct that's been reported, it's a highly dubious stat. His runs on our first drive of the 3rd quarter: 2nd and 8, Wisner gains 4 yards before being touched, play goes for 7 (first guy takes him down immediately on contact but he was moving and falling forward - ankle tackle) 3rd and 1, Wisner gains 2 yards all before contact 1st and 10 at the 50, Wisner first touched 8 yards downfield, gains 9 2nd and 1, contact after 6, gains 9 1st and 10, contacted at LOS, gains 3 Total: 30 yards, 10 after contact I stopped there because the stat is obviously BS. The one long run where an OU DL got a hand on him but had no shot at actually making the tackle is doing a lot of lifting there.
  21. The town the distillery is in was 60/40 Trump and this guy owns the big business in town. Let's put it at 90% he voted for Trump. Wait, he also might work in private equity. Make that 95%. https://www.distilledspirits.org/craft_advisory/gareth-h-moore/
  22. Terry is certainly intriguing at RB. Have to imagine his pass protection is weak but with his skill set you handle that in the short term by having him as a check down option instead of blocking help if he's in on any pass plays. Let's hope we play well enough to do a much better job using this next 3 game stretch to get talented guys looks instead of doing shit like trying to make Stroh happen.
  23. Agreed but a lot of that seemed like decisions and footwork to me. Both of Muhammad's picks were thrown almost without looking and while turning or off the back foot. The kind of stuff he has always seemed to do against quality defenses.
  24. Yep Napier gone this Saturday evening makes complete sense. Penn State got the jump on Florida getting into the market and caught them by surprise. I imagine there have been conversations and plans discussed this entire week in Gainesville. And if that's what prompted it then I'm not sure a win over MSU changes anything. We might see a guy fired after a win.
