  1. Man I wanted some property in the UC, sigh.... Also is Foundation like a modern Banished? That's right up my alley if so.
  2. Well to be fair, so was the artist.
  3. Probably some kale while watching To Kill A Mockingbird on TCM. I'm just kidding (about the kale part anyway), I'll probably grill something though I have grilled pollo rojo, pork chops, and NY strips this week for dinner with the weather being nice, so I'm not sure what we'll be in the mood for on Sunday. Growing up with there being 5 of us we laid out a buffet that felt like heaven for a 12 year old. A spread of bagel bites, chicken nuggets, pretzels, goldfish, wings, fruit, candy, etc... It was a white trash smorgasbord.
  4. Man some SpongeBob after surgery really does take the edge off
  5. What a paragraph "Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on social media that he would not attend a meeting of foreign ministers from the Group of 20 in South Africa later this month, days after President Trump made false claims about land seizures in the country. Rubio cited what he called South Africa’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and climate change."

  7. Baylor has this nonsensical saying about our basketball players that were killed in a bus train accident 100 years ago and it really applies here. "For they are the we of us" It's us, it's our fault. We picked 'em and we continue to pick 'em. Something is rotten in the United States and the elected officials are just rot personified.
  8. First half was...not good, but hey 1-1 looks nice and FCito had some dudes play. As always nothing to take from preseason.
  9. Yeah, but it was different. Trump's base is almost Jacksonian compared to Reagan's. As far as power, it seems that the 1% being the traditional GOP power brokers has been replaced by the .0000001%.
  10. He is anti-GOP establishment in that they don't control him anymore, if they ever did. Those that do influence him, like Musk, are not part of the traditional country club GOP. The rest of your post is 100% correct. The billionaires and evangelicals are in control. Online we talk a lot of shit about billionaires, but corporatist America has promoted greed and money as the ultimate good for a long time so they're people to admire. The evangelical influence over the nation is always there. Their power comes and goes historically and we're getting a good buttfucking from their rise right now (but we can't enjoy it!).
  11. Correct, the people are mad that their lives suck (I don't know why that is) and want people to suffer for it. One easy way is to elect the man who will burn it down starting with those that are different.
  12. @skittlebrau 3rd kit option is obviously Austin Ice Bats themed.
  13. At this rate Trump's Library will look something like the new Universal theme park. I was thinking that he'd just pocket the money, but MAGA World would probably make him more money. Well, as long as he doesn't run it himself.
  14. They all just heard what they wanted to hear.
  15. For the love of God, whatever you do, don't stop at the Travelodge in Memphis, TX. My wife threatened divorce if we ever did that again. The Red Roof in Childress is also a shithole, but with a good breakfast.
  16. Close to mine Anarchists will sexualize Thomas Jefferson
  17. So fans of FC Dallas, do y'all plan on buying anybody this year or just having a fire sale and replacing them with academy kids?
  18. I get why they're doing it, but I'm going to miss watching MLS in the summer with no competition.
  19. The only guy I know that works ATC was in the National Guard or Army reserve (I forget which) where they trained him as well as attending TSTC then he picked up a spot in some small regional airport before moving on to a bigger airport.
  20. Some people on reddit wondering how Austin got so high on the list. They don't understand the lack of pro competition and the love the city of Austin has for the team relative to many other MLS teams and their cities. Even beyond Austin, one day last year I wore a jersey to a bar in Waco and someone came up to me saying they had season tickets and loved every minute of it even when we were losing. We have 5 of us from Waco going down for the season opener and another separate group of 5 going down for another game a couple weeks later. All ten of us prefer going to Austin FC games over any game in DFW that's just about the same distance as Q2. It's that great of an experience.
  21. And I still haven't heard him speak since right around the week before the election.
  22. Hell the delay of one extra passenger boarding, plus adding luggage, plus a change in weight, and whatnot might have been enough to make it a close miss.
