  1. Saturday will be a great atmosphere in T-town. The Bammers have had this one circled for a year and now with a W in hand after Athens, watch out.
  2. Tell me you're not from the South without telling me. There is a ton of stark differences from Ole Miss and UF. For one, Ole Miss attracts mainly rich out of state kids (who never come back to Ole Miss once they leave) and what upper socio-economic demo there is in the MS. UF is almost all instate kids and its a great academic school, not Texas great , but it's up there. Ole Miss is not on a par academically. There is a reason there is a "Florida Man" meme. Florida other than Jacksonville and the panhandle is not the south. There are thousands of UF kids from Tampa, Orlando and south FL and those are much more aligned with a northeast mindset than a 'southern' mindset. Think more Jersey shore than Garden and Gun. Think more mom and dad moved here from Ohio than Southern Living / 30-a southern. The factory owner/exec retired to the east coast of Florida ( basically West Palm, Ft Lauderdale, Jupiter etc) and the factory worker retired to the west coast (basically Venice, Bradenton, Northport, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda). These types spawned the UF demographic by and large. The panhandle of FL is Bama , FSU and Auburn country. Jax is UGA country. IMO FL is not the traditional south. Florida is Florida, much like Texas is Texas. If you have never lived in LA, MS, AL, GA, South Carolina, TN, then you think Texas is southern and most likely FL too. Ole Miss is prim and proper, the Grove, deep souther ties and roots , very little infiltration of anything other than redshirting Ms Amercias.
  3. Exactly this. Trump is quoting the RBOB, which is basically wholesale. Torture the numbers and they will confess to anything. From the article: But the cost for RBOB is considered to be a kind of wholesale price. It excludes state and federal taxes, as well as other manufacturing, distribution and marketing costs that go into determining the final fuel price that consumers see at gas stations.
  4. From my readings (its been quite some time).... France declared war on Germany in 39 advanced past the Maginot Line but withdrew after 8 mos of no action thiking between the Maginot Line, the Ardennes forest and the Belgium resistance, that would hold off the Germans. Shortly after, Belgium army offered no resistance that surprised the French and eventually Dunkirk happened. They also underestimated how quickly the Germans would take the Ardennes(SP). The UK couldn't convince them to stay in as we were close to joining too, by that time they had lost 300K men and Italy had joined the Axis powers to their immediate southeast
  5. Agreed, a lot of people need to read some basic history books on the matter. The Fight for Independence was going nowhere fast without Ben Franklin living in France for 9 years convincing them to nearly bk their country to help us. He was masterful, a near celebrity and won over the support.
  6. I think we have seen it 2X from memory (could be wrong though), it just doesn't look as fluid with Arch and its not a surprising anyone like in the past.
  7. Agreed. i believe he will dramatically improve the run game/offense. Those highlights really exemplify how good QE was in the short passing game. Such good poise and touch (remains to be seen if Arch can do that consistently) and TW turns it up field as good anyone on the team. Did we ever hear what the injury was?
  8. Not so fast my friend. I present you with 6 minutes of Trey doing some very good things, breaking tackles and multiple 30-40 yard runs.
  9. I dont know about that...Deion Burkes and Satenga are both very good WRs.

    Florida Gators

We'll see. 2 weeks is a long time. I hope you're right, but we'll have our hands full in the Swamp.

    Florida Gators

Article says they are confident he'll be ready to go, likely precautionary boot to stabilize all week during their bye. We'll get a healthy UF team is my sense. This is a game we need bad to get back on track leading to Dallas.
  12. no doubt, ill see i can find a full game replay and link the play.
  13. Vandy ran the Hideout Play vs Texas last year and it was flagged. It was on a 4th and short and was executed for first down. The refs called a penalty, the difference last year is the WR was facing the sideline and not down field. Thankfully the refs got it right and flag was thrown.
  14. We're going to get it turned around....Wisener (sp) IMO is a difference maker. Ideally we get him back for UF. We get the Stanford WR back too and things will look dramatically different. With a little luck we'll miss Lagway and can get out of UF with a W , setting up a make or break game in Dallas.
  15. 100%. Each Head Coach after that fateful (for us) night took one look at the other and decided to change. Unfortunately for Texas, we wanted to try and be Bama, , while Saban saw the writing on the wall for CFB and knew he needed to be more like Texas. The rest is history.
  16. Knew they were doomed after Foster's B10 presser at media days last year. Dude couldn't string together a few introductory sentences, before offering "....our school is located in Los Angeles..." Appeared to have zero prep or effort put in and the product on the field is mirroring that effort.
  17. Which would make sense but pictures of him in the stairwell show no signs of the said concealed rifle. timeline is jacked up. the video of the limp is before the event walking toward campus. the stairwell photos not so sure of timing. could he have stashed rifle on the roof then come back down and up and thats what the stairs photo are? Perhaps he concealed in his pants, dis-assembled it on campus, then put it together on the roof? possibly, but wouldn't really make sense
  18. He was being funny and you missed it.
  19. sure hope so. It was not a good look for the head of FBI to announce they had someone in custody, only to retract within an hour. At that level, you shouldn't be making things public unless you are 1000% accurate, not a good look to be wrong in that situation.
  20. Andrew Ross Sorkin is one of three hosts of the business show "Squawk Box" on from 5-8 am central on CNBC. He would be the liberal side of the scale to Joe Kernan, with Becky Quick providing a tonic to the trio. Ive watched or listened to that show for 30 years. The point of his note or article (not sure what the context of what's posted above) is made by referencing 3 instances of targeted attacks, all within the last few mos, no need to go deeper or source more imo.
  21. thats right amen brother. Beat the Miners!!
  22. that seems more CR type discourse . At this point lets find the shooter, prosecute the sumbitch.
  23. Had to be a sharp shooter...ive put up and taken down those cheap tents a hundred times at my kid's soccer games.... looked like he was sitting on a barstool, the amount of space from the bottom of tent to the head/neck area couldnt have been more than a few inches. He didnt look to be standing, but sitting "up" and the angle that bullet had to travel had to be very flat. Will be interesting to see the accident scene re-enactment.
  24. yes, on twiitter, be warned however its really bad. edit..sorry just reread your post. Disregard
  25. Saw the video on Twitter, by accident. My goodness, its horrific, no way he survives that. Its ISIS level gore.
