  1. One of the great things (I know I know) Mack Brown did is put the fan base in Burnt Orange. "Come early, wear orange , be loud" of something along those lines. From 88-92 night games we all wore the same shit we were hitting 6th street in....Jeans, boots and button down basically or for day games it was a random white tshirt like you said.
  2. I dont know, i kind of dig my new addition.
  3. Ill be on my boat this weekend in Orange Beach AL with several Bama fans. Feverishly working on a hack to display the game on my Garmin Chart Plotter. So far the parts will be here tomorrow and ill try to get it working before Saturday am. If successful ill post some pics, otherwise we'll head back to the beach house at 11 after fishing to watch Texas and the Bama fans can go fuck themselves as my rig will be heading to the FloraBama for a Bushwacker and they can decide on their game watching preference. Note to msJDHORN92 (no pics) , may need to source me a better flag
  4. Very cool. We've done similar (the old $20 trick in 80's and 90's at the Cotton Bowl for OU game). I had tickets with my Texas buddy and his brother in law, big OSU fan, in a non-Texas area of the stadium. I didnt even make it to the seats....i bailed and told them i was heading to the Texas endzone section and basically straddled an aisle seat, though we stood most if not all the game. I didnt budge all game for fear of not being allowed down into the section w/o a "seat".
  5. That's me on the right, as the cameras swept the Texas section after the Sweed TD catch... headphones and all. Incredible atmosphere, but yeah, if i was fighting man, could have easily scrapped a half dozen times, it was that bad. Got called a faggot several times walking to and from various bars /to stadium etc.. no biggie I suppose, and that was well before the game. After the game was more verbal and just outright embarrassing for the tOSU fans, but water under the bridge, that was a long time ago. We walked from stadium to downtown as the busses had stopped and several elderly fans in our throng of Texas fans needed the 'protection', so it took us a lot longer to get back.
  6. should be aok for the week after all
  7. OU, Rice and SMU. TCU SMU in my opinion only got big after dissolution of SWC , could be wrong though. In the case of Rice and some others, it could also be who do you want to beat the most rather than biggest 'rival'.
  8. Lol, we should give Russia security guarantees for his 2nd point. As in pull out of Ukraine, and we’ll make sure they don’t go in and destroy your ass.
  9. If only Putin would agree to: 1. Return the stolen children 2. Return to pre-special military operations borders 3. 100% prisoner swap 4. UKR to cease from joining NATO 5. UKR will seek European security guarantees 6. UKR will not seek compensatory payment for non-military damages (ie we will pay our own way back to reconstruction) 7. UKR will not seek to repatriate Crimea nor will UKR seek military solution; UKR will not recognize that as part of Russia
  10. You missed a good one in the Cotton Bowl.
  11. Im mean i'm all for it and everything, but interesting attire choice for a drive from Knoxville to Tucson.
  12. If 247 is to be believed, PL runs a 4.3 at 6'4" ~200lbs. Jordy Nelson was an AA his last year at KSU, averaging 10+ catches and nearly 130 yards per game. If we can get a fraction of that from PL as a FR, lets go. Glad hes on our team no doubt.
  13. I don’t know, he kind of was. He was a threat in the return game that day, I told my game watching crew he would be a Horn “next year”, he looked that good. Spencer and his butt buddy announcer gushed over his speed all game
  14. Huh? What you talking about Willis?
  15. Sounds like we’re about to see many off schedule QB runs until the O gets settled. We should all be prepared for a shit offense week 1 in the shoe. Likely (no surprise) to be an ugly slugfest
  16. Yeah, thankfully I got the $3K match from employer. I rarely check the portal for my stub since its always squared up in years past. Ill make sure to contact payroll at end of year for 2026 contribution and have the max spread over the whole . I missed it this year for some reason.
  17. JK Dobbins ran for 900+ in 2024. Tore his achilles in 2023
  18. I don’t mind the minutiae. Feels more like how buddies can pop in and out of normal talk with a random memory, story or thought. For example by buddy and I were talking about the 10yr bond and then on a dime we turned to dildo color odds during WNBA games
  19. Well fuck me running. Learned something new today. The past 2 quarterly bonuses sure seemed super light in terms of net deposit vs gross. Wife (no pics) and i rang the bell last year, so I just naively assumed payroll dept was taking more out in taxes. I figured that or bonuses got taxed more than regular salary. So i had some downtime working from home and decided to log into my 401k account and just do some casual examination and see if the contributions needed any re-balancing. I notice that I have hit the max contribution for my age, $23,700 + $7,500 or $31K. I have maxed it out since i was 24. What got me thinking is i have always had payroll take the $30K or whatever the yearly max and divide by 24 salary checks and dollar cost average. Nope, not this year. i dont see any correspondence with the office about it, but evidently somewhere along the line they switched to a %. My Q1 bonus deposit was appx 50% of the gross and in q2 it was about the same %. They started taking out thousands (q2 was 10K and q1 was nearly 5K). No wonder the bonus net seemed light. So here I am Aug 1 and I've maxed for the year. Guess Ill get a net deposit raise of $2,500 per month more from here on out. Ill need to remind myself in Dec to try and tell them to hit the salary checks evenly for the whole year and leave bonuses alone. Cant believe that got by me this whole year. Hate that I ll miss the ups and downs for 5 mos. Good problem to have i suppose but i dont recall that being the case in years past.
  20. Going to need he and Baker to form the killer B’s RT duo
  21. Is Connor Stroh an option at Tackle or is a jag?
  22. I used to watch X Files on Sunday nights, always a staple to wind down a weekend, great show!
  23. Seinfeld did a whole episode on this very thing. The one with the midge...err little person (I'm no Dave Aranda)...the episode with the 'lifts'?! You may be too young to remember Seinfeld. Kramer is the standi-n for the lead guy on All My Children.
  24. In other words he ate a bullet.
