  1. Check out Fairhope AL, it’s the picture in my avatar. Great Southern City along eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Easy access to I-10, and would fit your 4-6 hour out requirement. There is great Fireworks show on the bluff overlooking the city pier /beach. Your wife will like the shopping, good way to stretch your legs after being in car 9 hours. Orange Beach , Perdido and Pensacola will be a nightmare traffic-wise. I would not advise Biloxi (0 to do for kids and well it’s MS). Fairhope is regular voted best small town in the South (along with Beufort SC). Check it out
  2. yeah because weve done so well with ex-Rutgers guys
  3. What's Marty Cherry got to do with this discussion?
  4. No , that is incorrect. In your scenario, if Texas fired Herman, then Harrell would no way be considered for the HC job at Texas. No way.
  5. So in this scenario Above, we’re 9-3 And win the bowl game. I’d take that right now vs letting ‘20 play out, Losses would be OU, @OSU and @lsu I presume.
  6. A Young person. As in the “da 2 utes sitting here are my clients”
  7. It’s pretty common knowledge he was upside down coming out of the recession to the tune of several Million. Not so sure how flush he is, may surprise us.
  8. I went to Aub-UGA game and Aub had a very hard time generating any O until very late. Bama D is on par with UGA, but who knows what O Bama can muster. This could be an ugly game
  9. If Tom Herman was my client here are the talking points I would make him commit to memory or at least write down to stay on point. He is failing at the most basic part of his job which is to be a salesman for the program. It's especially more important when you are losing: 1. We can get to 8 wins with a victory Friday and a bowl win, right now that is our focus and our message to the team. We cant hit our goals obviously, but we can set the tone for the off-season starting Friday. Friday is our most important game for many reasons. 2. This season has not played out like we wanted, obviously, but we have to keep driving and working hard 3. Injuries have played a major role, no doubt, but we every program has to deal with them, we cant sulk or make it an excuse; we have to overcome. That is why its critical we develop depth and make recruiting a priority. Recruiting is on everybody; how we handle this last game and our bowl game will set the tone 4. We... everyone, fans, media, coaches have to stay positive and focused on the long term plan; we have a process and a plan and its going to take time; the last thing we need is division and apathy. I understand losing can create a negative vibe, but we're staying positive as an organization. 5. We have to instill discipline, no excuses for penalties and missed tackles; those are mental and physical errors that have to be fixed and that's what we're working on. We've had critical errors at the worst possible times. The guys need to fix it; the coaches need to fix it, it has to hurt to improve, and the team is hurting , but now is when we need to come together and get a victory. 6. We had 10 wins last year, and we can get to 8 this year; no its not where we want to be based on where we finished last year; but 8 wins is something to build on considering we left at least 1 win on the field (ISU). 7 At Texas we expect to compete for Championships and we didnt get it done this year, but the future is bright; we have a lot coming back next year. Tom needs to learn leadership 101. Effective communication is, in order, tone, body language and then words. The public perception he is putting off is terrible. He needs CDC to sit him down and talk about public speaking and the message he is putting off. To come that press conference and essentially wing it is off putting at best. He is not prepared and its obvious. I guess $5M a year makes him think he is bullet proof.
  10. not enough bowl eligible teams, so 5-7 puts you in play, provided your grad rate is in-line
  11. dont forget superman mockery on the sideline of POS bowl win.
  12. Give the SECSEC 7 more losses and they look a lot more mediocre. BS of not playing 9 conference games waters down the w-l records and makes them appear better. But as the SEC commish has said, "why fix something that is not broken?". Hard to argue with the results.
  13. Hey Tom, why don't you try benching him. Maybe instill accountabilty by replacing him, what do you have to lose? He's gone next year and you have a chance to get a young guy some reps in-conference.
  14. Herman’s an amateur. Poor communicator, weak leader, no direction. Texas is fucked. We’re saddled with this guy at least through ‘20. We will have the exact same record next year.
  15. IF Strong survives this year and is USF coach next Aug, Herman will be coaching for his job. He loses to Strong and he won’t see a 5th year.
  16. Buy low and sell high, those are the rules. JK I have no idea what the rule is. Just be cool and don’t draw a bunch of attention To yourself. Chat up some guys at the bar/tailgate/lunch spot. Put them on Facebook marketplace . Start getting word out as soon as you get there. You’ll be able to dump them. I bought 5 Auburn Georgia tickets this morning on stub hub b/c I didn’t want to walk around with a grand in my pocket, but I went to FB marketplace first looking, though the game I’m going to is a much tougher ticket than our game.
  17. Keep up the good work. This fucker needs to fry
  18. RRRRRRRRuffels have RRRRRRRidges. RRRRRRRolls RRRRRRRRoyce
  19. I believe it to be the DNA evidence linking him to the murder is what sealed his conviction.
  20. I dont know. I had a short fling with a Wren once upon a time in Sand Point, ID (summer job on the Clark-Fork). Pretty hot and fierce for an Idahoan.
  21. Ah, well let me tell you how good he is.....he housed one on us earlier in the game so I’d say he’s pretty damn good
