  1. Top 10%, 9%, 8% or whatever it is today has killed the greek community. The primary big high schools like HP, Westlake, Memorial, Alamo Heights just don't send their kids to UT like they use to. I don't know how the fraternities are surviving really. We had 120 actives when I was at UT and almost every other fraternity had the same. I would guess 30% of the UT student population was greek in the 80's - I doubt it's 10% now.
