  1. Spency said the other day on KXAN Austin went from January 27th to February 12th without having sun during the afternoon hours.
  2. I’m guessing this will be the last or second to last season of BCS and the movie will pick up immediately where it leaves off. Hopefully the movie takes place in the black-and-white timeline.
  3. Not really the “type” of nachos we’re discussing, but Surf & Turf’s ribeye nachos with extra queso is one of my favorite gameday dishes.
  4. Welp, it’s all Bezos’ now. National Enquirer: 1926-2019.
  5. GOP sure is happy about more unnecessary spending.
  6. These USA chants are cringey.
  7. David Attenborough and nature in 4k this April.
  8. Baylor is destroying teams as of late. Up 25 on TCU right now.
  9. Beautiful kiddo. Good work Dadda.
  10. I’ve all but stopped watching late night but I do catch one time to time or, more times than not, I’ll stream some of the day-after clips. My brief rundown: Jimmy Fallon seems like someone my middle or high school self would enjoy. He’s so distractingly childish and his interviews really suffer due to his behavior. I’ve never watched him before but CBS This Morning will play clips from Trevor Noah’s show (I guess because they’re both owned by Viacom) and I swear the majority of the time I can’t tell if he’s setting up the joke or it’s the actual punchline. I’ve seen hundreds of his clips and I can’t remember ever laughing even once. Colbert is talented but I miss the old Stephen. His new show just doesn’t work for me personally Conan IMHO has been the best thing going for almost two decades. He’s fantastic.
  11. Baylor beats OU by a cool 30 tonight.
  12. Bumping this thread because I just started S4 and it's all sorts of awesome. I'm not a Netflix binge watcher at all but this one got me hooked. Was definitely not expecting the "surprise" in Ep5.
  13. Of course, another caravan is on its way! Funny how those things seem to be some timely.
  14. Totally random thought and one which is probably rooted in confirmation bias, but is there a reason the majority of winter cold fronts tend to pass through Central Texas in the middle of the night? I swear, almost all of our real cold blasts these past few years have occurred in the middle of the night.
  15. Fucccckk this. Just turned it off 40 mins in. This doc was way too disturbing for this father of a young daughter. I feel ill having watched that.
  16. What others have said here is pretty spot on. Netflix is a nice introduction into the event, very surface level, whereas Hulu is more in depth. Hulu also doves much deeper into the social aspect of everything which makes you ragey for society. I preferred the Netflix “style” more as I thought the interviewers made for better characters (sans Billy) but the Hulu version was equally as good in different ways. Definitely recommend watching both though.
  17. At the 4:08 mark there is a house which is, quite literally, on fire.
  18. Finished both Frye docs. I had no idea I could dislike social “influencers” any more than I already did.
  19. Local businesses (Capitol Chevrolet is the worst) which repeatedly and proudly proclaim “veterans are always welcome!” Yea, no shit? Are there businesses out there which I’m unaware of who are actively resisting business to former service members?
  20. Yeaaaaa the NFL is going to have an official problem on their hand after today.
  21. Failed three drug tests.
  22. Yea, the Mueller rebuttal is very...odd. Not sure what to think, but I can’t imagine things are as “good” as we thought they were earlier today.
  23. Love D.C. when it’s blanketed in snow.
