  1. Most of these schlubs can't afford to shop at Brooks Brothers, and the ones that can still probably wouldn't because I don't think they sell cargo shorts and old T shirts.
  2. So you're saying Arbuckle had to change Brent Venables culture? Great sign.
  3. Kellen Mond. Who they hated. He also happens to be the best QB they've had since Manziel.
  4. You think anywhere is safe at night in Ohio after the last time we played there? It's not even safe in Ohio at night, inside a police station, on a normal Wednesday.
  5. It happens several times a year. Here's a famous one from way back: Here's some more:
  6. I assume this is sarcasm. But you can't QUITE be sure.
  7. Maybe. Probably. I meant the part of the internet that isn't anonymous by nature, like Twitter, message boards. The guy changed his name at one point to Daniel Joseph, and had a linkedin, but i couldn't find anything "real" about him now....granted, I gave it like a 3 minute effort. He's either changed his name again, or deleted his non anonymous social profile for all the obvious reasons.
  8. You're just biding time until you can creep back and defend Major Applewhite. I thought they just called them "trainers."
  9. The guy has already changed his name to Daniel Joseph and maybe something else. He did a pretty decent job of disappearing off the internet other than his "anonymous" twitter handle.
  10. Huh. Wonder what press they’re doin in return?
  11. You can’t get past your own words. “THE AVERAGE 3 STAR qb.” Is your take that major applewhite is the median or even average 3 star qb? They’re all as good as him? You’re saying you think most 3 star qbs have good, but not great careers? Because I’ve posted over 100 of them and I don’t think most of them ever even started games for their teams. I’ve given up explaining the concept that exceptions prove the rule.
  12. You can’t actually respond with anything other then hurr durr Major.
  13. There's lots of conversations going on. Again, I know you're struggling here, but exceptions PROVE the rule. I gave you a list of 100 3 stars from 2022. Which one has even started, much less outplayed Simms? Anywhere. You can't go through the exercise, you just go "Hurr durr here's a 3 star that was better than Simms." I'd argue Chis Simms gave us 4 star production while he was here. Maybe mid to high. Lets take a look at the mid to high 4 stars from the 2022 class: Devin Brown Walker Howard Gunner Stockton Nick Evers Maalik Murphy Brady Allen Katin Houser Tayven Jackson AJ Duffy Holden Geriner Sam Horn Jacurri Brown Justyn Martin By the way, the 5 stars for this class were: Drew Allar Cade Klubnick Connor Weigman Ty Simpson How many of any of those above are going to have a better college career than Simms? Klubnick, who played all 4 years? Maybe Allar. Definitely he had the career of your average 3 star. If your average 3 Star is Cade Clubnick, who was a 5 star.
  14. You illiterate twat, I didn't walk into shit. For starters, lets get to the illiterate part; this thread is literally about Quinn Ewers. My derailing conversation was about evaluating Chris Simms, objectively, which it's pretty obvious a lot of people can't do even when they say they're evaluating him objectively. You literally said Simms had the career of an "average 3 star." You think cherry picking Major Applewhite, or any 3 star who's gone on to be a STAR QB even, is some kind of gotcha? YOU HAVE TO PICK THE AVERAGE GUY. I gave you a list of 100 players from a single class that were 3 stars, find me the ONE that has a career equal to simms, much less the average of them together. Major Applewhite is completely irrelevant. Hell I'm pretty sure Colt McCoy was a 2 star, if not that he was certainly a 3 star. Josh Allen wasn't rated. Sam Bradford was a 3 star. Pat Mahomes, 3 star. Exceptions PROVE the rule, you doofus.
  15. Was he the guy we'd hoped for, and many expected? Probably not. Were there varying degrees of responsibility for that, some, but not all, of which were on Simms? Absolutely. Your 3* comment is fucking stupid. Below is a link of the top 3 star QBs, via 247, from the 2022 class. The 3 stars start at #19. It's recent enough that most of these guys would/could have played football if they'd been developed worth a shit. Tell me which of these guys has a career as good as Simms? https://247sports.com/season/2022-football/recruitrankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool&Position=QB *edit* Here's the list, thanks ChatGPT, spoilered: I'll fucking wait. I only recognized 4 names in that list, maybe, but by all means please tell me which of these guys mirrors the career of Chris Sims. Much less how his career would equal the "average" of all those shitbirds. I can do this for 2021 if you like too. You're right. Sports message boards are subjective. It was Laguna who insisted that, OBJECTIVELY, simms had an underwhelming career.
  16. I know where this place is, it's in the Heights. It's a couple miles from my office, and maybe 3-4 miles from my home. It's on a nice street with a fair amount of bars and potential foot traffic in...not exactly what I'd consider a part of town with a high percentage of Aggies, per capita. I find cigars vile. I can't get the taste out no matter how many times I brush my teeth, makes your hair smell l like a campfire, but whatever. What I can tell you, is that I'll absolutely never buy anything from these guys. I won't recommend it to anyone. I have a good buddy who's an Aggie and loves cigars, and he'd probably love these, but nope. Go fuck yourself. I'll never respect any business that panders to a small segment of the population at the risk of offending a broader, more general public. But that's who those losers are, and they're not even smart enough to see what a weakness it is... Their store would probably CRUSH it in Cypress. Maybe they could relocate there and get Daddy98 to show up and regale everyone with his stories.
  17. At least it's contained to the Quinn Ewers thread.
  18. Cedric wasn't 1st team 2 times. He was 2nd team in the years below, and I did make a mistake that he was also first team with Adrian Peterson in 2004. https://big12sports.com/news/2002/12/10/1518373.aspx https://big12sports.com/news/2003/12/9/1519278.aspx I don't know what your point that the lists were "littered with longhorns" proves We were talented teams. But I see a lot of STUPID fucking choices. Like Roy Williams a 2nd team WR behind Rashaun Woods and fucking Mark Clayton. Multiple years. I guess you're not aware of the entire Big 12 coaches voting Texas 5th one year and costing us a shot at a title. It's not a conspiracy theory, it's pretty plain in the voting. But of course, I never claimed it was objective. It's very much emotional. Much like Kirk Bohls voting for Reggie Bush for Heisman and Chip Brown writing hatchet articles about Texas. By the way, Big 12 awards are voting for by people, which is the definition of a subjective opinion, and shouldn't be considered objective criteria by any definition.
  19. Simmons was a true freshman last year. He wasn't a secret by the end of the year, obviously, but I except him to demand a lot more double teams than he saw last year. And it still might not matter.
  20. Finally, you've positioned yourself into a spot where you'll have to define something. You say overrated/underachieving, and again I will ask, by what metric? Because, first, overrated/underachieving is usually code for someone's personal expectations of a player, which by it's very fucking nature, is emotional, and NOT objective. Which is why I've been asking you to define your nature of success and you come back with... All Conference Selections? That's your metric. Selected by coaches and the media, the same coaches who always conspired against Texas and the same media that voted against VY for Heisman? During the same years Leach was going apeshit at QB at Tech. You know, it's almost like nuance matters. Cedric Benson was never a first team All Conference player, I don't believe in a year he scored the most points of anyone in the Big 12. Yes, yes I do believe I can scoff at your criteria. I'm not attempting to pull a gotcha, I've been directly asking you your criteria. And you came back with All Conference nods. No no, you please continue down this path. "His tenure was disappointing." That doesn't sound like Objectivity. It sounds like an emotional response.
  21. I'm not enabling anything. I'm simply sitting on the sidelines wagering on what that addict is going to do...will he clean up his life, or will he run, not walk, to the lines of cocaine and syringes of heroin just sitting on that empty table, unguarded?
  22. Why are they even asking? Mosley hasn't practiced consistently in a couple weeks now, and was already going to be behind the other guys who have practiced. And we think Sarks letting him into the trust tree on game one against Ohio State? OK.
  23. Stop pretending. You're going to come back and defend Teh Major because you can't help it. No. You're supposed to think that a bunch of shitty fans and alums were shitty fans and alums.
  24. He went 26-6. He was a good QB at Texas, and hampered by a retard in the booth. Laguna is repeatedly saying that Simms, objectively, was a mediocre QB at Texas. I'm simply asking him his defining criteria.
