  1. Most likely this is going to backfire against them spectacularly. They will piss of Dems and Independents who will come out in mass to vote against the Republicans in '24.
  2. Izzy knowing about Cirie/Jared makes her the most dangerous person to Cirie. And while I don't think Cirie necessarily wants Izzy to go home today, this may give Cirie the chance to get rid of her.
  3. You have to figure that the DOJ is going to come down on Paxton ASAP after this trial. It will add to his narrative that he's being persecuted but that doesn't make it false.
  4. I'm surprised how many seats are still available for the Houston show at Minute Maid. I guess most fans were satisfied seeing them on the reunion tour a few years ago. Hard to believe that was 7 years ago.
  5. I bet she's re-elected much easier in '24 than in '22. If Trump is on the ballot, more people will come out and select her.
  6. I’m a casual viewer. What has Izzy said in terms of her knowing that Jared and cirie would never take it to a final 2?
  7. The rapes were reported 20 years ago and the victims told multiple people at the time. Masterson even paid one of them off to the tune of 400k soon after the rape occurred. Perhaps he did that just to stop a false accusation but it doesn’t look good. I assume some innocent people face a vindictive person that will lie and get others to lie. Is it more likely that someone did that for 20 years or maybe he’s just guilty? and being a nice guy 99% of the time doesn’t always make up for the 1%.
  8. Regardless of who goes home, Cirie has to convince Izzy that she’s staying so she doesn’t tell everyone about Cirie/Jared. And if it is izzy going home, she needs Izzy thinking that it was others who voted her out to keep her blabbing as she walks out. Overall it’s bad for even BB standards to bring in a mother/son. I know they say expect the unexpected but that doesn’t mean make the game inherently unfair.
  9. A few fifth amendment pleas from Paul doesn’t help Paxton and could remind the senators who Paxton was serving. Straight up ask him how much he paid Paxton in money and services. Hard to ignore when he refuses to answers a bribe question. Paul’s appearance will also wake everyone up. As far as calling the girlfriend, I think the consequence to the House mgrs depends how well liked or dislike Angela Paxton is.
  10. Bet this city screws up in firing these officers and will have to pay them more after future lawsuits.
  11. Regardless of the motivations of the Right, I'm still shaking my head at how Hunter continues to fuck up his father. And maybe Biden participated in some calls or meetings in which he shouldn't have.
  12. He'll be acquitted but some of those voting for acquittal will publicly state that they're have grave concerns about how Paxton ran his office, and they have full confidence that Paxton has learned his lesson.
  13. If AI art is allowed to be copyrighted, then there is nothing to stop someone from telling AI to generate a trillion(s) images for a variety of subjects. Then you tell the same AI to continually monitor the internet for anyone that is publishing anything similar, if not identical, to your copyrighted images. Then start the legal process to demand small dollars amounts. AI can probably handle the emails, legal filings, etc. Sit back and watch your bank account get larger.
  14. Some throw around words like cognitive loss and they obviously have never experienced people in their lives with cognitive loss. And adding non-clinical descriptions like severe loss, add to the ignorant statement. "Severe" cognitive loss is unable to control your body to the point of wearing diapers 24/7 and not being able to balance at all. It would also imply that the person is now losing the ability to recognize others, make new memories, and not be able to put together thoughts. I haven't see any ongoing examples of Biden's cognitive loss outside of edited/sliced videos. Biden stammering is not an example of cognitive loss. He's admitted to stuttering for his entire life and that isn't considered a mental disability. Is Biden as sharp as he was 10, 20, 30 years ago? Nope. But that is the same for EVERYONE over 50. I don't know anyone over 50 that doesn't personally admit loss of certain memory or mental acuity.
  15. Can the “prosecution” side subpoena someone to show up to testify? It would be powerful to bring in a few people like Nate and Paxtons girlfriends to either testify or just take the 5th.
  16. To me the biggest gap in the prosecution side of this "case" is showing how Paxton personally benefited from Paul. I don't buy that 25K political donation meant anything. The closest bribe that I can see is that Paxton made a quick payment of 121K for his house renovations to a builder who reportedly has connections to Paul. Was this a planned payment or Paxton trying to re-pay the bribe. This occurred the same day that Paxton knew his aides were rebelling. It was also the day they went to the FBI but I unaware if there is proof that Paxton was aware of the FBI aspect. Have the people involved with the renovations given testimony under oath or not?
  17. Becomes inpatient while his security team is being issued a speeding ticket, requests to be arrested instead of getting back in his truck, begs to be let go, and finally tells/threatens the officer he will regret not letting him go. Not a good look. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT823Legr/
  18. Im waiting to hear a reporter ask Jimbo if he’s willing to walk away from A&M if they continue to fail. Or if they fail might be a more diplomatic question.
  19. I turned on GameDay since Texas is involved today. Couldn’t make an hour. It’s produced too much like the Olympics.
  20. So many of the highlights that I’ve seen this week are Paxton’s attorneys asking witnesses why they didn’t give Paxton a heads up that they thought he was doing something wrong. They reply they did. But why does that matter? If he is breaking the law there isn’t some defense that he wasn’t warned by his employees.
  21. It's a feature not a bug. Welcome to Texas.
  22. Disingenuous statement written by his PR rep. You can’t claim that you support police officers as much as anyone after you got arrested for not respecting them. But it’s the story his side wants to tell.
  23. Reminding the senators that Paxton receives more votes than they do.
  24. advice so good, it needs to be repeated
