  1. That's where we differ -- I don't see that statement as anything but all-encompassing. Broad brushes piss me off.
  2. It's almost as if y'all have never heard the term "sleeping giant".
  3. I could never master Defender. We had a few savants who could play that damn game for hours on one quarter. I was mostly a Galaga and Moon Patrol guy. The latter was a really dumb game but I loved playing it.
  4. You were the one who implied all liberals are scared of Muslims. Maybe go take a writing course at some school other than Texas Tech. By the way, those anecdotes included growing up around dozens of Muslims my family would host when they came to the US to attend the engineering school my dad taught at. They would break bread with us, stay with us, obviously take courses from my father, etc. I learned about Lebanon, Iraq, Iran etc. in a very real manner, and without question my family was not an outlier. It was a very common thing for university employees to bring those immigrant students into their households (as well as students from other parts of the world, primarily Asia). So MY experience is that you're full of shit.
  5. Thanks, Dad. I'm comfortable in my skin and I cannot think of one person in my circle who is scared of Muslims. Quite a few in that circle are Muslims themselves. This is obviously a white knight issue for you but you are flat fucking wrong to paint with that broad brush.
  6. Nobody ever claimed the "left of center" voting block is homogeneous. There are always outliers. To imply that all liberals are scared of Muslims is fucking ridiculous, full stop.
  7. So you're scared of Muslims?
  8. That's exactly what I was thinking, except a kettle grill as the bigger chamber. Thanks!
  9. Here we go again. Can explain this perverse falsehood you push every chance you get?
  10. He injured his knee on August 6. By your analysis, he could be expected back by Ohio State.
  11. A little too close to Aggie maroon for me, but it is unique.
  12. I was thinking high temp tape, maybe in conjunction with a few magnets. Magnets, how do they work?
  13. It started raining on my chihuahua right in mid pee. She was not happy. I just pointed and laughed, because tiny nervous dog.
  14. None of you junior varsity bitches could stand up to my Galaga skillz.
  15. Wow, you have that exactly backwards.
  16. They acted the same way in 2005. We saw how that turned out.
  17. Well, I have a mic cable used by one of Taylor Swift's backing singers.
  18. The fact that most parts are on the shelf at Home Depot doesn't suck, either. I have a wild hair to make a smoker out of a small tabletop Weber charcoal grill and a larger 22"-ish standing kettle grill. Use the shortie at ground level as the firebox, plumb the lid vent up to the lower vent on the full-sizer, wallah! Of course, I already have a smoker, but still . . . projects.
  19. If you grew up in the midwest during a certain timeframe (think "Dazed & Confused" era) it was pretty hard to avoid REO Speedwagon. They were good and even sometimes great before the great migration to power ballads. There is no denying Gary Richrath's talent, that guy was a smokin' guitar player who unfortunately decided he liked whiskey more than music.
  20. Joe Biden didn't throw him in prison, but Kamala would?
  21. Well if you'd buy a guitar we'd have something better to talk about.
  22. Tre Wisner over CJ Baxter for All-American is certainly a take. I get it, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna play out differently.
  23. MJ Lenderman was good, not great. For one, I hate the way they EQ his voice live. I know he has more bass tone than that. Regardless, it was a pretty mellow show, and when they did crank it up and get psyche-ey the volume just wasn't there in the building. That said, this is a fantastic song, and it came off really well:
  24. Not all of us have the will power to wait until the checkout bargain bins.
  25. uhhh . . . what's a PDR shop?
