  1. Personally, I think it's the greatest run in UT football history. I might be exaggerating a little bit.
  2. That comparison hadn't occurred to me, but now that you mention it, I think you have a point. Man, if Weaver had THAT upside . . .
  3. Semantics. First season, second season, who cares? RT's situation is extremely unusual.
  4. Ah, you were assuming 14 attempts. Carry on.
  5. Actually, we average 7.2 3-pointers per game (238 over 33 games).
  6. Yeah, Weaver got 29 minutes to Horton's 16. Over the course of the season, Horton actually had MORE minutes -- 20.3 mpg to 18.2 mpg. Seems to me that RT has figured it out. I don't really put much stock into who starts, especially a super high motor guy like Weaver. I don't know how much more he's capable of giving per game than 29 minutes.
  7. Well, we attempted 14 and usually attempt 20, so it's true it helped keep CSU at bay by limiting 3 point attempts, but it's not like we were WAY down on attempts.
  8. I don't think anyone has done this. In fact, I think most people understand and openly acknowledged the "survive and advance" nature of the tournament. Certainly, most have said we played like ass offensively. But hey, don't let the truth get in the way of a good rant.
  9. Yup. Just an average game from the arc would have turned it into a blowout. We average 7.2 3-pointers per game.
  10. Looking at Abmas and Disu last night compared to the entire season, it's apparent that Disu's shooting was the bigger factor in how close the game played out. For both guys, though, it was the abysmal night from beyond the arc (1-12 cumulative) that affected the game. They average over 4.3 3-pt shots per game between them. That's 9+ points left off the board. Entire season (per game played): Abmas FG-FGA: 5.79-13.52 (42.8%) Disu FG-FGA: 5.63-11.71 (48.1%) Last night: Abmas FG-FGA: 5-15 (33.3%) Disu FG-FGA: 5-18 (27.8%) I don't know about everybody else, but I trust Disu to rectify his shooting issues more than Abmas.
  11. It's almost as if Jesus was a liberal.
  12. Stop saying RT is the next John Wooden!
  13. Orange slices and juice boxes? Could work.
  14. I predict DirecTV will get in a feud with CBS 42 in Austin and I'll be watching it on my phone or some such.
  15. I recently read an estimate that ~ 10% of residential recycling materials are actually recycled, and ~ 90% just go to the landfill. Great. I would hope industrial recycling would have a much higher yield.
  16. This statement broke my brain for a minute, and then I realized you were talking about minutes.
  17. Get outta here with all that level-headed perspective and shit.
  18. You think that's written in stone? You do realize we're in the second round and our two best players were not exactly at their peak tonight, right? Are you Helobious?
  19. My only concern when I see "older" coaches' names bandied about is whether or not they can operate in the world of NIL. (I have absolutely no reason to believe he would thrive or struggle in the modern roster landscape, it's just something I wonder about when we talk about previously successful coaches.)
  20. Post #1 on the thread. Not that I put much stock in KenPom, especially for any given game, but whatever. A double digit win doesn't suck. Yes, we looked like ass. I can't imagine winning tournament games with Disu + Abmas combining for 24 points, but here we are. I expect a much better performance on Saturday.
  21. At my last job, we took the company public. I was tight with the CEO -- I joined as employee #6 -- and for our IPO party he told me to pick the band. I asked for a budget well beyond Austin PA + band cost, and hired some well-known buddies at probably 3X the going club rate. Man, they were thrilled. I swear we didn't pay them $1K but whatever it was made them feel like kings. (They kinda are, everybody knows them.)
