  1. I will say this: when David Pierce is your "miss" then you're in rare air as a program.
  2. Thanks for posting that. He had unnatural lateral quickness. It always cracked me up when he would seemingly disappear behind his line and then burst free out of nowhere, and then he'd run downfield with crazy dangerous ball "protection". He was just so damn fast it didn't hardly matter.
  3. This page fucks.
  4. My first game after coming to UT for grad school. Texas vs Mizzou. I was a Metcalf fan being a Missouri native and loving his dad Terry. Eric busted off a 53 yard punt return, he was electric from the jump.
  5. In that case, yes, I was around. Unfortunately, I was around for all of it.
  6. Tommie Harris?
  7. Now that's some hard-hitting journalism there, that's what that is. Yeesh. "I don't know shit."
  8. I've downed 6 tequila shots since you posted this and I still can't erase it from my brain. Thanks a lot.
  9. Hell yeah little soccer dude. My kid played just like that. It wasn't malicious, he just cared more than the others.
  10. Well, I did the 350 F for an hour with beef stock and it was terrific, so I guess there is some margin of error.
  11. If you're that intrigued by a "faith-based" school, maybe check out a few others? SMU? Trinity? Notre Dame? St. Olaf?
  12. Hey, shitty little rural weeklies need writers too.
  13. Our team ERA is now 2.94 . . . crikey.
  14. Texas A&M Spring Game
  15. Imagine the funnier answer and that's it. Seriously.
  16. You must have pissed somebody off. We're having some yard flooding near 360/2222 (0.17").
  17. Any tips on reheating a whole brisket in the oven? I have an 11-pounder that finished yesterday, it's been refrigerated ever since. I was thinking something like an hour at 350 F with some beer or stock in the pan?
  18. In general I'm loathe to prioritize athletic facility upgrades, but McCallum's current football/soccer field is horrible. Patchy grass, uneven playing surface, holes everywhere. My son lost half a soccer season and most of a track season after stepping in one of those holes which led to a hard fall and a deep hip bruise. His coach basically said "yep, happens pretty often".
  19. He clearly has a high baseball IQ. Schloss said that bunt call was all Jonah.
  20. Again with vigor: 22-8 in the SEC landed UTenn the #1 national seed last year. Our path to that record isn't particularly daunting. I'll go so far as to say that a 2-1 or better against A&M will make our case for a national seed hard to screw up.
  21. Oh, what a horrible problem to have.
  22. Good question, I don't have any idea. It just sorta popped up. I can attest to the fact that every neighbor I've spoken with hates it. It just seems to be such a waste of money.
  23. You're having a real struggle with comprehension. The drivers on the long leg had no negligence because they had no yield sign or stop sign. They had the right of way. The drivers at the intersecting "T" had a stop sign. If they rolled the stop sign that was their negligence. Despite these facts, you seem to be incapable of understanding the very simple concept that the City of Austin managed to make a perfectly functional intersection worse in multiple ways by building a roundabout. I didn't map this one failure to all roundabouts across the world, I'm saying it was a stupid waste of money in this particular case that caused more harm than it developed good and it is a perfect example for this thread.
  24. LMAO. THERE WAS NO NEGLIGENCE by those drivers in the prior configuration. They literally turned a logical right of way into a 3-way clusterfuck. Beyond that, the turn radius is so hilariously tight that many vehicles can't even navigate the roundabout. You don't know what you're talking about.
