  1. Of course I didn't attempt any math. Just a reminder of the sheer amount of net takers in our society. We can bitch all we want about the "rich", but there's a whole lot of nothing being contributed by a whole lot of people.
  2. It’s all back up (in area @Lat22 mentioned). We never lost it, but it went out around Foster and was out until I got to my hood. Think it came back on around 2100 for everyone else in area. I don’t know what we’re connected to but we kept power throughout the freeze, too. Between waller and Brookshire, I saw probably 20 BIG live oaks down. About ~1000 shit trees down, including 2 across the highway closing one lane in 2 separate spots. A tractor with van trailer on its side in the ditch, a house being framed had second story collapsed, a second story of a house removed from the first story on a built and presumably occupied house (same neighborhood, nice houses) and the arms for the railroad tracks were bent backwards. By the time I hit fulshear, it looked like nothing had happened. Oh and I saw a piece of plywood wagon wheeling at a very high rate of speed across our parking lot that missed a guy who pulled over and parked by inches at best. Was pretty wild shit.
  3. Bijan will obviously be a UT legend, but Evans was another I was upset about (at the time). Again, I learned to just read and trust you guys. I enjoy recruiting, but have learned I don’t know shit lulz.
  4. Can you imagine if we raised taxes, made the rich pay their fair share, and then made the freeloaders actually contribute something? Anything at all. Like $300. We could be out of debt in a coupe of years.
  5. I remember being devastated when he flipped or decommitted or whatever from his very early verbal. And then y’all shrugged it off. And I quickly remembered why y’all are the pros at this shit and I just enjoy reading about it.
  6. Yes, where one would typically immediately flee the scene and go on the lam. I’m sure it’ll work out great for him.
  7. Apologies, I often forget many on this board don’t live in Houston where a significant amount of violent crimes are committed by people out on laughably low bonds. Most recently, the UT alum attorney and friend to many here who was killed last week.
  8. He was pardoned, not out on bond.
  9. Do you not remember the boards reaction to the armed man who showed up the the Justices house last year. No biggie, just a guy with mental illness. Lolol!!!1!1
  10. The ones perpetrated by a Jewish person are threats. The ones by Palestinians are cheeky pranks. Have you not seen their last several hundred posts on the subject?
  11. I’m just here for the ice cream talk. Biden gets the same kudos for my retirement accounts as Don did, even tho neither were really the cause for it.
  12. I know he buys nice hunting stuff so assume buy once cry once guy but who knows. A rifle is a lot different than a few dress shirts.

  14. Well, that’s the trick with anything right? I’m not familiar with their suspension limitations, but seems most people want to track them and agreed, would be easy to overpower. You just want a stupid ratio buggy to toy around in, built LS would be cool imo. One of my buddies in high school was given a built Supra (mind bottling parental/community decision) that was set at around 900 and could be turned quite a bit up from there. It was mostly sort of controllable on the 900 setting. When he turned it up it didn’t matter if his big tires were on or not, it was always a question on what it would do. I can’t believe he did not kill himself or others.
  15. Well, I worked with his pet charity for a couple of years. Those families put in the work for the homes they received. Far cry from the “just existing” requirements you’re referencing.
  16. Yeah they definitely can be built as equipped. But they can also be made LS monsters.
  17. No, I hate the talk. He walked. Buying votes with talk is bad, mmmmkay.
  18. I know they have big enrollment. Their avg test scores are still very good (compared to all the other schools in Texas not named UT and Rice). They either get dumbed down in fish camp or there’s something in the water, but they’ve got plenty of “smart” kids attending. There’s roughly 370k kids graduating high school in Texas this year.
  19. I was drunk and struggling. Figured G would get me there at some point.
  20. You know they have a group that will LS swap Miatas?
  21. Shit, he’a far more intelligent. No contest.
  22. @williemackgarza There’s a thread on hobbies. @G650 can guide you. Sky is the limit on $$$
  23. Does no one edit anything anymore? Christ.
  24. This explains so much.
