  1. My wife teaches in Macomb. I won't trash it too much because I think there are a couple of surly posters who seem like decent people that live there. But yeah. Lots of large pickup trucks. Lots of I seen.
  2. That's wild. Macomb loves them some Trump. They have a fucking parade for his ass a few miles north of Warren in Shelby Township every Sunday. Seriously. I don't even like driving through, it gives me the heebie-jeebies.
  3. Less chili's more high priced whores.
  4. Man bless you Rex. I could not be married to someone who voted for that guy. Just the same as I couldn't be married to someone who was completely uninterested in having sex. Wait a minute...
  5. Counter point from another swing state. I just ran up to 7-11 to grab some ice so I can hand out trick or treat beers to parents. One of "those" trucks was in the parking lot. Big. Red white and blue Trump graphic on the hood. Giant ass dual flags hanging out of the tailgate. Stars and stripes and Cheeto. I was looking forward to walking in and immediately realizing who the jackass was. It took me a minute. Middle aged guy. Overweight. To my abject horror he was wearing a green Nike Michigan State sweatshirt, of which I own an identical one and now must burn. I *almost* gave the guy an enthusiastic "Go Blue" but I just couldn't get those words out of my mouth. Thankfully he's an anomaly around here and he'll be crying in his man boobs next week.
  6. I need to see some pics of the internals. Congrats on the arrival!
  7. The bots on Twitter are freaking out. https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/10/30/charges-noncitizen-alleged-vote-michigan/75945325007/
  8. Good thread to share with people with selective memory. https://x.com/RBReich/status/1851361434967662863
  9. We might all be voting in our last election if he wins.
  10. Thank you. I kept trying to look shit up on my phone and it isn't easy ,😂 We'll get it fixed for next year.
  11. Explain this to me please. At least we can adjust it for next year. I believe I looked at last year's draft and Chet wasn't drafted so I assumed udfa coming off of injury (though to be fair that could have been 2 or 3 years ago, I don't remember). I also thought Rex had the draft set up last year same as this year, where our keepers had designated rounds and were picked automatically for us during the draft.
  12. Same. It'll probably feel like that for about 12 hours if she wins. We'll all be toasting and doing shots and feeling proud. And that's about when the Stop the Steal 2 election boogaloo will kick in and we'll have to sweat it out for another 2-3 months.
  13. Super clean website that citypulse. I clicked on it so the rest of you do not have to. The rest of that quote is pretty outstanding. Why is it so fucking hard to understand?
  14. Back to back blows here. Diggs and then Diontae traded to Baltimore where he probably won't be very useful. I just lost my WR2 and my WR4. I'm probably going to put in tonight for Cedric Tillman and/or Legette. Dell is not available.
  15. My attempt at early in person voting was a bust. Had to be 300 people in line. 4th day of early in person availability, 30 minutes after polls opened. I had an appointment across town at 10 and I don't think I'll have another opportunity to go this week. I'll be slumming it with everyone else next Tuesday. Location - bright blue Troy, MI.
  16. No. It was my fault, I made an inappropriate joke about the MAGA rally tonight.
  17. I apologize, it was a joke for the record. But they definitely have some sort of scheme worked up. Is it the obvious play of trying to get it to the house and SC or is it something else?
  18. State constitutional amendment for early in person voting was passed in 2022.
  19. Thanks I just spent a bunch of money at pet supplies plus - inflatable collar and 2 paw booties. Tried to put a booty on and freakouts ensued. This is giving me almost as much anxiety at the moment as the election thread.
  20. Talk me down off of the ledge regarding the cone of shame. I've never had to put one of my dogs in one. Pup has seasonal allergies causing her to lick her back feet and they are getting raw. Claritin and fish oil was the first thing we tried and it seemed to work for a couple of weeks but then she started again. Now she's supposed to put the cone on when I can't watch her. I'm not comfortable putting a crazy 7 month old puppy in the crate with the cone or anything else on when I can't supervise her. Vet says it's fine. I'm convinced she's going to get it caught on something in the crate and choke herself out or some other shit.
  21. Rams are a live dog tonight. ML
  22. I know Muslims in Michigan has been belabored to death, though maybe not quite as much as Applebee's vs Sonic. As someone whose father is a Muslim in Michigan I have a perspective. I thought this was a good read and reminder. Even in the circles I know on that side of the family and people they associate with, opinions sway wildly. Pops is Kamala all the way for the record. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/10/24/2279008/-Here-s-how-Harris-and-Trump-are-doing-with-Arab-American-voters?pm_campaign=front_page&pm_source=top_news_slot_1&pm_medium=web
  23. I had him rostered 48 hours ago. I know he still has some juice left, but the situation with Levis and Rudolph made him worthless. I don't need a ton of help at WR but thought I would dip into the FA pool and try to secure Jennings who looks pretty certain to have a prominent role in a good offense for the rest of the year. I put a pretty hefty bid on him (40 something) and won the bid by a couple of bucks. Woke up Wednesday morning to see I won the Jennings sweepstakes but that Nucky was going to play with Mahomes. Because he was just waived, he went back into the FAAB pool and 3 teams bid over 50 to land him. I neglected to jump back in but still annoyed. Price is Right horn.
  24. Appollonia!
  25. This brings back some memories haha. When I first brought my trailer home I spent a good couple of weeks trying to figure out where to put it so that it would be in a good spot for cooking that was also accessible to my driveway for taking it tailgating. I built a brick paver pad and then promptly got the pit home and tried to wheel it off of the driveway into the lawn to the back and it sunk 3" into the sod. I eventually got it back there using a couple of alternating sheets of plywood. I bought a mesh lawn reinforcement system, installed it and a hand dolly cart so I could move the pit back and forth. Realized after 2 months that despite the paver pad and the expensive cover I bought from Tractor Supply the pit was rusting like crazy because of the morning condensation. It has been in the garage ever since. That was about 11 years ago. Good looking pit, excited for you to break it in.
