  1. Yes. Literal goosebumps. As a "Detroiter" (burbs), that little barb he threw definitely hurt some people in my generation. With few exceptions regardless of political affiliation, we rep Detroit and are very proud of it. It pissed me off - would have pissed me off if anyone said it - but at the same time it kinda delights me to think about the uncomfortable internal dilemma it's giving to dudes in Shelby Township (Macomb County R stronghold) with an old English D tatted on one forearm and 313 tatted on the other. Not going to change anyone's vote, but I guarantee you those dudes - and there are a lot of those dudes across the area - did not like that comment one bit.
  2. I would start Kirko. I picked up Minnesota's D a few weeks ago in one of my leagues. I need a replacement, as well. The problem is I drafted a bunch of Dolphins and don't have anyone to drop to pick up a D. Drop Vikings D and hope to pick them up on Waivers? I'm 6th in priority and at least 3 in front of me are streaming Ds this week. Tyreek Waddle Mostert Davante Adams Kareem Hunt Or just start a dead D? My RBs are terrible and thin so it would not be wise to drop either Mostert or Hunt.
  3. If we can get Derka's new guy and get @BallamaticBevo to check in and confirm we're at a nice round 10 teams.
  4. Detroit vs Everybody Well at least vs "those people"
  5. @RexWilson - out @BallamaticBevo said let's run it back at the end of last year but hasn't confirmed participation this year @Dutchrudder - gung ho and in @ztejas - out Confirmed: Derka, his buddies, @Capn81, @BigOrange1, @ITHorn, Dutchrudder, me
  6. If I'm looking at that thing right without going to Google maps, that's right where my old offices were. Westshore and Kennedy.
  7. My entire work team lives in Tampa. 90% overall of my work colleagues are in the area as that was our HQ until we got bought out by big corp a couple of years ago. On my direct team I oversee, 3 of 4 are evacuating. It took one guy and his family 4 hours to get to Ocala this morning. As for the guy that is staying, I'm not getting much info out of him as to why. I'm not sure if he's in an evacuation zone or not. One of the guys who is leaving is in zone B and he said as of this morning A, B and C were mandatory evac zones.
  8. Wife and I have it and love it for when we fly as a family with two kids. Definitely has saved us some time.
  9. Now this pac is sending out mailers. These arrived today. I'm not that clever but when I explained this to my wife and 15 year old their heads exploded. At least one of those people has a Masters degree. Think about how easily their propaganda crap works on Trailer Nation.
  10. Wrong actress. You're talking about Dr. Angelface. That's Pand.
  11. This season is very weird. Odd dialogues and exchanges that seem out of place. The whole Jelly Roll scene as some kind of misguided prank on Dwight for example. And I still resent them trying to make the bar owner guy the next Elvis.
  12. Every time I've counted on a 1-3 deck shoe, I get unlucky and still lose my bets when I press and the count is high. And I usually didn't have enough bankroll to let the statistics self correct my chip stack over time. The martingale system is hilarious, though. Back in the day, I was over my number and I told my bookie I was just going to keep doubling my bet until I won. He said ok your new limit is $1k. Doh.
  13. This is incorrect. He died because he was the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  14. @chainsaw Found the pac when the same ad started littering my Twitter feed. As I suspected, it's a fake Pro Kamala ad. Turns out they are running similar ads that paint her as Pro Palestinian in areas with high populations of Jewish people. https://jewishinsider.com/2024/09/future-coalition-pac-kamala-harris-microtargeting-muslim-jewish-voters/ Michigan does have a bit of an Arab problem. On the Christian side they are all Pro Cheeto because they have long been single issue voters tied to the abortion issue. On the Muslim side they are pissed at Biden about Israel and for some reason think that Trump is going to be less Pro Netanyahu, which I cannot understand. I still think we will be firmly blue come November but stuff like the Mayor of Hamtramck publicly endorsing Trump continues to amaze me. https://www.wxyz.com/news/voices/hamtramck-residents-react-to-mayor-amer-ghalib-endorsing-donald-trump
  15. Is anyone else seeing the Kamala changes her mind a lot, but one thing she hasn't and won't change her mind on is Israel commercial during football? It is playing itself as a Pro Harris ad but seems very back handed with the "compliments" if not subtle insults. Then it dawned on me that there is a large contingent of Arabs in my metro area. Interesting. I looked for the ad on YT but couldn't find it.
  16. Someone hasn't been watching First Take. That's Caitlin Clark.
  17. Yeah when he opens the freezer it cracks me up. On the other side of the coin are the Kevin Hart Draft Kings spots. I'm not even a Kevin Hart hater but man. Just shut up already.
  18. That Skyrizi commercial with the dude grinning from ear to ear while flying a kite with his kid in a patch of grass located within a mountainous paradise is the weirdest shit I've ever seen. I felt like I must have been high watching it.
  19. My grandpa used to let me finish his Miller Lites when I would visit them in Florida when I was like 4 or 5. I liked the taste of it. One time back home I discovered a can of Miller Lite in the garage that had liquid in the bottom and took a big swig. Gasoline. Some might say that this explains a thing or two.
  20. As Briscoe would say, I just had a pifane about why I'm digging the W so much this season.
  21. Weird hill Derka. It's hoops during the off-season. If you don't find it entertaining don't watch it. Game was chippy as fuck tonight. Would have like to have seen the hand shake lines.
  22. Excellent! If they're anything like their big cousins, you will have a great friend that follows you around like a baby duckling for the next decade plus. Congrats on the addition. Charlie. RIP 2016ish
  23. Yep that's how I wound up with Trixie. We did a big time remodel and it was always kind of in the back of my head that I would get another dog this summer when the project was done. In the immediate aftermath though I was cash strapped and exhausted, plus we had a 10 day family vacation coming in July. To the other point re breed, my last dog was a beautiful Greater Swiss with papers. I kind of wanted to get another Swissy, but now was not the time to drop 3k on a dog. I've always been intrigued with Anatolians and I made the mistake of looking at Petfinder one night on my phone. I love large breeds, and I saw about 75 miles away there was a litter of rescue Anatolian/mastiff mixes. Sent an email, and 3 weeks later... You know the rest.
