  1. So, if we start winning, then we also have to start bitching about winning. Very confusing. When we inevitably fly a banner, what will it say?
  2. Yep. I enjoyed his posts. I like a lot of the artists he posted about, and he was always engaging.
  3. Been using a Ridge Wallet for a few months and I really like it. Won't go back to the back pocket wallet.
  4. This would be good. Hope it's still on track to happen.
  5. Don't forget Soul Hat. My vote: Liberty Lunch, Antone's, or Waterloo Records.
  6. Shorty's looks pretty damn good to me right now. Wish I were in Port A.
  7. I've seen this work before. I may need to get my dog a username so she can post on this thread.
  8. I cry at longhorn football games and at rock concerts.
  9. Athena Pools did a great job for me. Jeff is the only contractor I've ever hired that I didn't dislike when the job was done.
  10. I began the process tonight. Cleaned the cartridges and shocked the pool. Oak and Cedar Elm pollen clogs cartridge filters fast. Add rain and the pool is quickly becoming a frog pond.
  11. I generally dislike samplers, but I like this idea of themed samplers.
  12. This is generally true, but having it toasted on both sides solves that problem. I always ask for the bun to be toasted on both sides, wheat or white.
  13. Not sure if it was captured in the old thread, but HEB Swoon Salted Caramel Truffle Ice Cream is the tits.
  14. Anything near Mount Pleasant, TX? I have to go up there quarterly for a meeting and usually pre-meet with folks for lunch at Blalock BBQ. The people who run it seem nice, but Blalock BBQ doesn't belong on this list.
  15. Habaneros Mexican grill in Trinidad, Colorado. 508 Nevada Ave. Hole in the wall with great authentic Mexican food. Bring your best Spanglish. Discovered it accidentally when driving about 20 Boy Scouts to summer camp. They loved it so much that they demanded we stop on the way home.
  16. The wheat bun is smaller. Solves the too much bread problem. For me: #1 with cheese, no onions, wheat bun toasted on both sides. Sub rings for fries. Unsweetened iced tea. When my blood feels a little thin, I mix in a #2 with cheese or chicken strips with gravy.
  17. Same here. Very happy about Real Ale’s plan to rotate Goses seasonally.
  18. Uncle Tupelo, Liberty Lunch 1992. Patty Griffin and her driver, Continental Club 2012.
  19. Outdoors forum would be awesome. Make it so, Spider.
  20. I never got around to posting my 00-DB Jeff Tweedy on the Shag. I figured it'd be a good first post here. I bought it in May of last year, and I hardly play anything else anymore. It's quiet, and it's mellow. Definitely different than the a spruce top acoustic. Sounds great finger-picked or played with a thin pick. Doesn't hurt that it's also beautiful.
