  1. Great - glad to hear during the MFng Masters, so I’ll still be watching on my phone. Real world problems - I know. Hook’em!!!
  2. Very nice, as I love great acoustic guitar music. Hook’em!!!
  3. When is one of our games actually going to be on the SEC Network? Just asking, as they’re at the Dirt Burglers hosting Vandy tonight. Hook’em!!!
  4. Yes - what you said, I’ll drink to that tonight. Hook’em!!!
  5. Volantis is The Man for a true Frosh. So lucky to have him wearing Burnt Orange. Hook’em!!!
  6. DKR was still figuring out “the look,” as #’s stayed on top until around ‘67. They were gone by game photos in ‘68. 1969 had the 100 FB above, celebrating 100 years of CFB. Then the numbers were on the back and stayed. ‘61 was the last season where they even had an orange stripe down the middle. Cotton Bowl vs Ole Miss - ‘61 season. Hook’em!!!
  7. I’m Haooy too! Hook’em!!!
  8. Hook’em!!!
  9. His era only had “Texas” on the front of publicity jerseys or those for individual pictures to send home, previous HS, or media. The game worn jerseys did NOT have “Texas” on the front. Hook’em!!!
  10. My Dad, who played for UT and DKR (60-63’) already thinks the current uniforms look like NASCAR drivers running around on the TV screen, as too many patches/logos on the front of jerseys. Hook’em!!!
  11. It’s all internet fake wish casting by a few. CDC already stated NO. Next will be the black or burnt orange helmets with a corresponding uniform graphic online. Our logo and school trademarked colors, while historic, classic, unique, and prideful. They both really only go back to the recent living/current generation that contained DKR and his era at the helm of The University of Texas. So roughly six to seven decades. Hook’em!!!
  12. Damn, I was so excited to watch Arch in the Spring game on TV, but I understand Sark and his motives. Just making us all wait! Hook’em!!!
  13. I’ll never forget the day he told me about a guy/tourist coming in from the River Walk with half a long neck beer lodged in his head just above the left eye. Damn near touching the brain barrier on X-rays. They saved his vision and he walked out 24 hours later with just stitches for the memory. Hook’em!!!
  14. Son is an ER Nurse. The stories he tells after a few beers to lighten him up. His hospital is downtown SA (Alamo downtown), so he’s seen it all in his ~3 years there. He’s on 7-7 days now, but his night shift was the shit! Hook’em!!!
  15. I only got in to UT because I had over 35 hours transferred from the University of Maryland. Thank you Uncle Sam, as I couldn’t get in to UT right out of HS. Hook’em!!!
  16. Jail house recipe. I worked the 4-12 night shift at the Williamson County jail, as a student in Austin - 5 days a week. Prior military service got my foot in the door immediately, as I was a first time student at 25. Hook’em!!!
  17. Jail house recipe. I worked the 4-12 night shift at the Williamson County jail, as a student in Austin - 5 days a week. Prior military service got my foot in the door immediately, as I was a first time student at 25. Hook’em!!!
  18. I’m over 50 years in age as a Texan and today was the first I’ve ever heard linking aggy to the Mennonites. Hook’em!!!
  19. IMO - the young Bucky hire can do big things for aggy. I am surprised that Trev reached down to that level of a hire, considering the $$$ they espouse. His intro/PC was pretty good for a youngster. I’ll sit back and watch, as maybe aggy has their next guy for two decades. Hook’em!!!
  20. She doesn’t let me do it if I’ve been drinking on a FB weekend, because I’d just pass out/randomly give 90-95-100s without even looking at them. She’d tell me afterwards that some didn’t even complete the back page, so I’d say neither did I. Hook’em!!!
  21. I did hit the “like” while at work, but that’s really reaching. Nothing like eating Blue Bell ice cream during the 10:00 news with a stack of papers put in your lap with a red pen on top. “Please help so I can go to bed.” Hook’em!!!
  22. You bring back the memories of cinder blocks holding up bleachers/scaffolding the days prior to that game. UH was too prideful to even move the game to Rice’s stadium, because that’s what DD suggested for maximum gate/crowd. Rice wasn’t even “home” that weekend, so no conflict. Hook’em!!!
  23. UH won a NC in golf when Tray was a Freshman, but on the team with Steve Elkington and Billy Ray Brown, to name a few. Hook’em!!!
  24. Outside of Chet being the UH AD during the late ‘90s, I really don’t know. Most of the Coogs’ golf success died with the end of the SWC. My buddy/friend, Tray Tyner, was one of the last Cougars to win a SWC Championship (individually) prior to the B12. Hook’em!!!
  25. Too much insight into making an online purchase. Either you want it or don’t - no more lingering into the unknown. Hook’em!!!
