  1. I guess the McKinnley flip cancels out one of the dumbest things I've read on Texags. I'm speaking of late last week when a few were bragging about the Rivals' average score for their 9 recruits (+ McKinnley and Bussey) being similar to that of Texas. The combination of Bussey, McKinnley and Neal w/ the other 6 recruits gave them an abnormally high avg ranking.
  2. He says so much by saying so little... (on a thread about how bad this year has been).
  3. My son is the only one to pick BC, and he picked them days ago. He's 17. I can beat his ass if u want.
  4. I'm sorry, but Elko is so boring, I forgot he was even talking for a bit
  5. A couple of years ago, I got this as a gift and it turned out to be better than the one I mentioned above. Long story short, when my daughter was born, there was a chance she wasn't mine. Didn't matter. I was there when she was born, so she was mine. I went through a 5 year custody battle while working 2 jobs ~ 75 hours a week. Ok, enough with the sob story. Anyway, I did the 23 and me. When you go to your dashboard, they have a link that shows DNA matches as a percent. So, your closest relative would be a 99%+ match, with your 3rd cousin a much lower percentage. First one I see at the very top is my daughter. 99.9%. It wouldn't have made a difference, but it was something I always wondered.
  6. No. But I *read somewhere recently that a Longhorn invented the Chicago deep dish pizza, FWIW. *Or I was drunk and confused.
  7. I feel bad for the guy. And f any Longhorn that tweets something like that to a student/teen/recruit. (I'm speaking of Hunter's tweet from the last page.)
  8. Dammit. Too early in the morning for allergies. My high school junior just got the :45 second part of the video. He's fine. Just somehow turned into the typical, eye-rolling teen that used to think things like this were funny.
  9. Just to clarify as I was a tad toasty when I typed this. The dog didn't actually get to the folks it wanted to eat. It was leashed and lunged at a couple of people. It then took the owner and a couple of other family members to hold the dog down as it continued to try to get at its targets. Just an unexpected thing (for me)to see in an airport as I'd never walk a dog through an airport - pitbull or not.
  10. LOL. Her broadcasting made me miss the game. When I turned it on and saw the two announcers, I put it on mute, which led me to immediately fall asleep. Thanks a lot Mowins.
  11. I got a good one this year. I was extremely close to my grandfather growing up. He passed away with cancer my freshman year at UT. So, last night, my mom hands me a USB stick. Plug it in. It's all the home movies and pictures that he took from his time in the PTO during WWII until a few years after I was born. There are videos of trips to Yellowstone with my mom, his war buddies, etc... from the 50's. There are videos of me as a 3-year old at Lake Brownwood and Pioneer Town which is/was apparently in Wimberley. Really cool stuff as both a historian and one who wholeheartedly delves in nostalgia.
  12. Two days ago, in Vegas, I saw some dumb broad walking a pit bull (possible mix) through the airport. It attacked a couple of people. Who in the actual fuck would walk a pit bull through an airport?
  13. Ok. Help me out @TwiceHorn or any other road bikers in DFW. My resolution is to get back to cycling. I think I'm done with soccer. Two of my last three mountain bike rides sent me to the hospital. The only problem is that I'm not a huge fan of driving 30 mins to an hour to get to an empty road. I live in Rowlett, btw. I've been searching for a bike forum with local info; however, they all seem out of date. I'm interested in heading out to the Joe Pool Lake area as that seems to be ground zero for decent routes in the area. I have absolutely zero knowledge of the area, so I'm hesitant to just "try it out" as suggested on another forum. Any routes you know? Any forums I can visit for routes? I'm sure I can find routes on MapMyRide or Ride w/ GPS; however, that's always been hit or miss in my experience. P.S. I've really, really begun to miss my old stomping grounds at the foot of the Smoky Mountains...
  14. You know the call is bad when Dean Blandino sides with Dallas.
  15. I wouldn't think FL would fire Napier just yet. They got a ton of flack for firing the last one so quickly. Nevertheless, I'll bring the popcorn if it happens.
  16. Did it the day before I left. I read the graphic as "#2 in the state" which, to be honest, probably isn't even accurate anymore. They may be worse than Tech, TCU, and/or SMU.
  17. Switched to USF earlier today. 38th place, here I come!
  18. Ha! I wish. I did it bending over to get a scoop of bird seed. I mean, rescuing a beautiful girl from a burning car.
  19. Cross posting for the lulz (or when aggy begins to brag about the 2018 Broyles Award finalist). Some are pointing to Bateman's results at Army during the 2017-2018. He was a finalist for the Frank Broyles Award due to Army's defensive improvement from 2016-2017 to 2017-2018. Couple of things. He had been the defensive coordinator at Army for the 4 years prior to 2017-2018. So the shitty defense he fixed was his. Secondly, Army's #'s are skewed due to its ball-control offense. Army's defense only faced an avg of 56.2 plays a game. The median was 72.3 that year so 16 fewer plays. As far as yards per play, Army was 110th in the country on defense. Army's defense faced 77% of the number of plays as the average team that year, but gave up a shitload of yards per play - a more accurate representation. Sorry for the tl;dr. I'm holed up in a Vegas hotel with a herniated disc in my back.
