  1. I'm not saying they are the best, but they are damn good: The One and Only - McKinney The Loft - Whitewright
  2. Checking in...county road in rural Collin County...2 signs for Beto, 0 signs for Cruz.
  3. The wife and I will be returning to WDW in February for five days. No children. We were there just last February, but the daughter of some friends will be in the college program, and I have a former student working in the parks. Reservations are made for Port Orleans French Quarter, California Grill, Tiffins, and La Hacienda de San Angel (for the fireworks). I'd like to try Jaleo in Disney Springs, if possible. I've been a fan of Jose Andres ever since I watch the elBulli episode with Anthony Bourdain. Any other recommendations for Disney Springs?
  4. The Barn and the Silo The restaurant at the Villa Capri
  5. Agree on the river ride-had to do it since it was new. Best thing was the A/C. Avatar is on my list of Blu rays to buy, but I still haven't seen it.
  6. We went to WDW in February for 5 days. No children. We ended up going to AK three different days. Day 1: AK with no Pandora. While everyone is rushing to Pandora, you can just walk onto most of the other rides. We had seen everything, some multiple times, by mid-afternoon. We went back to the room for a nap and then to the California Grill for dinner and fireworks. This was the slow day for AK. Day 2: Went to AK after Magic Kingdom (morning extra hours) to eat at Tiffins. There is a good bar attached. Got there early, so walked around Pandora while it was lit up. Day 3: Fast pass for Flight of Passage. We were there for rope drop and walked onto the river ride before FoP.
  7. I was there. I can't remember my username - maybe it was the same. Was also on the Austin360 board (If I remember the name correctly)
  8. How can there be not a single patriot in the Republican caucus?
  9. Human Error in Volatile Situations Check out Act Two
  10. New system is conventional 3-tank that dates back to 1983. We bought the house in 2003 and the original owners had already passed away. Our tank cleaning service had serviced the previous owners and had no idea the old tank existed until we started having problems with it. So, we have no idea why the load was divided between the two tanks. Choice now is to repair the old system (expensive) or send everything to the newer system (cheaper). The newer system has worked with no problems for the past 15 years. It is only my wife and I in a 3 bedroom/3 bath house. I'm calling the tank cleaning service on Monday to see what they think. I was just wondering if there was a possible reason the original owner kept using the old tank.
  11. My house in unincorporated Collin county was built in 1983 on the site of the original farmhouse, which was moved a few lots away. Dishwasher, kitchen sink, and clothes washer go to the original tank, age unknown. Everything else goes to the new(er) septic system. Old system is failing. Am I asking for trouble if I send everything to the newer septic system?
  12. The Bourne movies are strong contenders.
  13. You can include Peter Pan. I won’t complain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Just sat at my computer instead of playing on my phone. First animated films for kids. You might as well show them quality films... Alice in Wonderland (Oillie Johnson was a mentor for Glen Keane) Beauty and the Beast Ratatouillle Coco Despicable Me Dumbo How to Train Your Dragon The Iron Giant Kung Fu Panda Lilo and Stitch My Neighbor Totoro Pinocchio Rango Spirited Away Zootopia Mulan (not my choice, but kids seem to love it)

  18. I was followed and harassed by a homeless man in Moscow. I finally lost him in the metro.
  19. The elk tenderloin at Geronimo is about the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. The Rooftop Pizzeria is fun. I don't know how you are getting there, but we always enjoy Madrid. If you go north, stop at La Chiripada Winery in Dixon; there is a great grocery there to buy lunch to go with your wine purchases. We like the Folk Art Museum.
  20. Bad enough to elicit a glowing health report on Trump?
  21. Square Burger in McKinney.
  22. Is that real? If it is, I expect a raid sometime at FOX News.
  23. Yes, I would and just put it on my wish list. I've seen that book referenced several times. Ollie Johnston was a mentor to Glen Keane and animated Alice. I see a lot of Alice in Rapunzel.
  24. I watch a lot of film, but animation has become a passion. "Tangled" first pulled me in a few years ago; I was drawn to its tortured production history (top-five-most-expensive film of all time in any genre), the blending of 2D and 3D animation, and the artistry of Glen Keane. I now have about 50 blurays in the library and add a few more each month. My goal is to own/watch every film on the Laputo Animation Festival list (150) and the Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Animated Film list... plus any other that catch my attention. The wife and I went to Disney World at the end of February, and she indulged me by sitting through the short film festival 4 times ("Get a Horse!", "Feast", and "Piper"). I bought a Disney release that includes the first two, and also "Paper man", an awesome short by one of the Tangled animators that also blends 2D and 3D animation. My newest additions: Yellow Submarine A Scanner Darkly The Wind Rises Pinocchio
