  1. Yes, like most things, the more you do something the more experienced you get. Doesn’t necessarily you are “comfortable” with it. Maybe a better word is more confident in knowing what to expect.
  2. Will have to pick up the DVD and add it to my "to watch" list. I am sure that I will pick up a lot more things as well since I was 12 when it came out the first time. have not seen it since.
  3. I have always been fascinated with the “West” and the westward expansion, exploration, etc. I remember watching this when it first came out as a kid. Have not seen it since.
  4. This right here. I read my first LL book while in the 6th grade. At one point I had read all of his books but then they started to find other writings and I lost track.
  5. FIRE SHAKA....you missed one.
  6. I considered going to this game as well but realized I will be in Las Vegas that weekend as well for a large industry event.
  7. We are making plans to attend again. We always make the drive from NE Texas to WV and make a vacation out of it. Typically do some hiking before/after it and hit some of the historical sites (Civil War, etc.). My daughter (UT-2014), SIL, and granddaughter (future Longhorn)drive over from Chapel Hill, NC. Attending this game has become an annual event since my daughter moved to NC several years ago. My granddaughter's first UT game was at the age of 3 months at the 2019 UT/WVU game in Morgantown. The fans are really great. A few years ago we met some WVU fans in a Cracker Barrell while driving in late one night. We struck up a conversation with them and found out that they were going to the game as well and that they had parking passes in a private lot right at the stadium. As a result of that conversation we are now on the permanent list to park in that area now during UT/WVU games. It is nice to drive right up and not have to worry about parking and then to tailgate right there at the stadium. We still contact each other throughout the year when Texas/WVU meet up in some event. Will be claiming my space again this Fall. And no, this is not some aggy fan fiction either!
  8. I still have about 10 years before I retire so there is still some time to get some more under my belt. Plus there are a few countries that I want to visit as simply a tourist. Some of the countries that I visited for business have also been covered as a tourist as well. Covid has restricted my travel for the past year to just domestic travel just like most everyone else. I have been to six continents. Unless the World Governments open up mining in Antarctica I do not see hitting all seven continents.
  9. Funny for sure. Thanks for the heads up on the caption settings.
  10. I have been to 31 different countries, most multiple times due to work. This has provided me the opportunity to see and experience what most people will never have the opportunity to do. I do not qualify for a stimulus check either. I am faux rich!
  11. Are there any doctors in the house? Should we be worried about this injury?
  12. My first truck did not have seat belts. 1968 Ford F-150. Straight 6 240 cubic inches. Growing up my parents had a platform that hooked over the back of the front seats to provide one flat continuous surface in the back of the car to play around on while traveling.
  13. Sorry opened this topic...just like any other player stat...over stated.
  14. I have equal mixture of Indian Hawthorns and Dwarf Yaupon Hollys. My Indian Hawthorns are questionable if they make it through. The Hollys look just fine. They are all about 17 years old. Never had an issue with the Hollys either. Have had to combat black (brown?) spots with the Hawthorns the past two years. I am in NE Texas.
  15. Have always enjoyed Bob Hope movies. Plus the Road to _________ series with Bing Crosby and Lamour. Never been a big fan of Hepburn but have caught of few of her movies, most recently being The African Queen.
  16. I play basketball with guys that have kids near the same age as my grandchildren. Me: “I met so and so today while playing basketball, they went to school with you”. Kids: “Don’t hurt yourself dad”.
  17. Yes, it is unusual for Costner to play a “bad” guy. I am watching it to satisfy myself on how he “redeems” himself in the end....if at all.
  18. Yep, I have one that is waiting to be used. I am having a hard time bringing myself to use it.
  19. I gave up trying to run with my son when he was about 12. He fast (see my Shit Kids Says entry).
  20. Thanks, I will take my chances. Though it is no guarantee against the potential injury I do stretch a lot.
  21. Some of these baseball cards look familiar to me as I am sure that I may have some of them in my collection that I still have from the '70's albeit not in the best shape. Too lazy to go look right now. Nice collection BTW.
  22. This right here. I am gone quite a bit so I have my neighbor collect my mail and do a walk through through the house a couple of times a week to monitor things. I give them a nice gift card/cash at the end of the year around Christmas. It is not that hard to figure out.
  23. This person must have felt "special" and above everyone else to just park here for a visit inside. Yes, the car was empty.
  24. My kids (young adults now) have always heard me say, “It is better to be an hour early than a minute late”.
