  1. QFT. Or rather, quoted for being absolutely 100% dead fucking on.
  2. I get what you're saying (and I'll probably take some heat for this), but I value my degrees and the reputation of the school a lot more than the football program. And even so, I would have ZERO trouble paying kids left and right. None whatsoever. I would be fine with hiring a coach who was absolutely ruthless when it comes to stuff like that. But I draw the line employing someone who was part of a fucking rape camp (or covered up for domestic violence).
  3. This is what we get for not adhering to our principles. Herman should have been told "either Horny goes or you both go," damn the consequences. And then, if Herman caved, he should've been forced to explain why he ever thought hiring the guy was OK in the first place. This is the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS. It's not OU, Ohio State, or fucking aggy. Rape apologists and people who protect and employ them do not belong here. Period. I'll keep cheering for the kids, but Herman is fucking dead to me. It's a stance I should have taken the second Herman hired Horny and then refused to ditch him with a justification of "I'm smart and you're not."
  4. Definitely a fair point, but I'd say the main difference in those games was that TCU had a sizable talent advantage over us in three of those trainwrecks. Today? Not so much. We just got embarrassingly out-worked, out-coached, and out-schemed.
  5. Amazing. Late stage Mack and even Charlie Strong couldn't have done a better job of fucking this game up.
  6. Jesus. Can CDC just Kiffin everyone tonight? I think I'm going to lose it the next time I see Herman's smug ass at a press conference. He should have been gone the VERY SECOND he refused to ditch Casey Horny.
  7. I wouldn't count out K State of ISU either.
  8. This team is fucking trash. If we're going to lose, I really hope TCU runs it up to help force some changes. Because nothing about the way the Horns look today is acceptable under any circumstances.
  9. Would pos rep twice if I could for using a Doom Patrol .gif.
  10. Interesting offer, but I certainly don't mind poaching a guy with potential from Rhule. His evaluations seems like they're awfully good. Since the offer came from Orlando, can we assume he's being looked at fro Rover or Mike? This kid runs angry in his film, so I'd think linebacker might be a solid fit after some teaching and development.
  11. Gilbert is a monster. As funny as it is that he didn't pick aggy, I kind of wish he'd gone to Clemson, Bama, or UGA. The thought of our defense trying to cover him next year is just depressing.
  12. I'd absolutely LOVE to be wrong, but I think you're absolutely correct. He showed us who he is with the staff he brought in. Obviously, I could be 100% wrong - and I hope I am. But I think the writing has been on the wall ever since he justified keeping Horny with "I'm smart and you aren't." If there isn't a substantial overhaul of the coaching staff after the season (Orlando, Mehringer, Washington, and Warehime at absolute minimum), I feel like it will basically prove that he is who I think he is.

  14. That's funny. Honestly, with the way Buechele is playing right now, he would probably carve both defenses up. The difference is that we can actually score enough to hang on. aggy with Mond? Not so much.
  15. So, take it for absolutely, demonstrably nothing grounded on any sort of concrete information whatsoever? And then promptly disregarding said "inside information" as utterly fabricated and completely worthless? Done and done.
  16. Hate to quote Lane Kiffin, but I feel like it applies to Big XII refs more than just about any other conference (although it seems like the Pac-12 guys seems like they're close):
  17. On the plus side, if Herman does refuse to make some badly needed changes, at least it seems likely that he'll leave the program with some decent talent for his replacement.
  18. Jimmy Lake seems like a solid choice. Any interest in Kevin Steele, Mike Tressel, or Jim Leonhard? edit: plus, since Lake, Steele, and Leonhard all coach DBs, we'd get the chance to ditch Washington and maybe Naivar.
  19. "tHE ScHeME iS sOUnD. wE jUsT nEeD To siMpLIfY tHiNgS."
  20. Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Hardly anyone watches anyway, outside of the two FB games per year and, to a lesser extent, baseball, so there's really no incentive for them to make any kind of change. Especially one that increases costs.
  21. I don't think TCU is anything special either. Not that it matters - because if the Horns play those games like they played tonight, shit is going to be ugly (uglier).
  22. Jamison is definitely the second corner - but having a trustworthy third to rotate in and use in certain situations would be huge, IMO . Especially if Cook can start living up to his billing.
  23. Out of rep, but yes, I think that would be a big deal. Just need Cook to turn the corner and one of our biggest weaknesses could get a lot better over night. Maybe not be a strength, but at least less of a glaring deficiency.
