  1. Welp, guess he found out. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/putin-claims-west-seeks-global-domination-by-using-ukraine/2022/10/27/39fbbec4-5607-11ed-ac8b-08bbfab1c5a5_story.html

  4. this should not be a surprise
  5. CIWS has a stupidly-complex (and expensive) maintenance requirement. Even test-firing of the unit requires a tear-down afterwards. CRAM isn't feasible because that lead would be dropping over civilians.
  6. Nah, I believe it, Israel just isn't going on the record to say as much. And Ukraine asking for "The Iron Dome," is incredibly specialized request, for a unique fabrication and exposures that Jerusalem isn't in the market for. It's like asking for a very specific hand-loomed textile for a cleanup job, when commercially-available rolls of paper towels exist on the shelf.
  7. Do you even spawn camp, bro? Kill ratio ain't gonna fabricate itself.
  8. That would be some shit, Poland doesn't even glance over at Germany before moving into Kaliningrad while Japan etches out runways to park their fighters on the Kurils.
  9. Not only that, we have several documented instances where FSB has outright stated, "nobody is informing Putin of the truth," while "Putin is making decisions on his own," with events unfolding in Ukraine. The former, because the failures and weaknesses will fall on other individuals with responsibility under Putin, while the latter has been Putin's own desires made without consult. There may be a point tested between Putin's nuclear football and the offensive or launch vehicle that simply doesn't work... and it's because some men in the middle have had enough or won't bear responsibilty of decisions from a man who has lost favor with everyone around him. Seriously, even among his closest oligarchs, who is making money in that country any longer?
  10. Big boom with different footage merged. Looks fake to me. This one ain't:
  11. Oh what the hell is this... some RAF pensioners decide the price for treason is only $300K.
  12. I don't want to hear any talking-head "wishcast" a fabricated call into a game-changing penalty... there's enough of that in this shit conference and I'd like to see our exit before the next one racks up.
  13. Who the hell thought there was even a chance at "targeting" with that hit, until RGIII fabricated it on the air? Campbell went bitchmade thinking the booth would review that but only after an assistant relayed as such over his headset. I actually admire Campbell for being one of the few coaches in this shitheeled conference with enough balls to call out officiating for their terrible jobs, week over week. It seems to get under his skin more than most, but this game ain't it.
  14. That's a huge deal to the chipmaking industry, where Ukraine provides 25% of the world's industrial-use Neon gas. https://www.engineering.com/story/will-the-neon-shortage-cripple-computer-chip-production
  15. Whistleblower about to get paid. Who else is on the take for export controls violations? https://www.reuters.com/technology/how-us-firm-supplied-networking-technology-maker-feared-russian-missiles-2022-10-12/
  16. Trick question, Jack Daniels isn't bourbon.
  17. If we're not deploying assets that have the capability of striking within Russia's borders, then where are we with allowing the Black Sea Fleet to roam about, unabated? The Bosphorous and Dardanelles are closed, anything posing a threat from there should be ripe for target practice.
  18. I'm out on Venables watching the game yesterday. He has talent and depth at DL and EDGE but seems absolutely fixed on his 3-DL scheme, only to leave his LBs lost, which is the thinnest position on his defense. He's also lacking leadership in the defensive backfield and I saw nearly no adjustment yesterday. He's not the kind of guy who I though would turn those keys over to Ted Roof (of all coaches) but as a unit, they've looked lost after the Nebraska game.
  19. Think of it like current diesel-electric locomotives, where a smaller-displacement, turbodiesel engine drives a high-voltage generator to electrify every component of the tank, including drive systems. Applying current hybrid-automotive systems might allow the tank to perform limited maneuvers on battery-cells, removing heat signatures from the tank under standstill operation.
  20. Somewhat related, this video popped up on my feed earlier today. It sparked a thought about Sark keeping his eye on Saban's roster and leveraging the portal + prior season results to continue poaching receiver & TE talent out of Tuscaloosa. Seems additional opportunity may be brewing for the offseason that we could take advantage of.
  21. Disagree with Lincoln "continually given Sark headaches." He's as offense-minded as Sark is, without a few key bits of experience under Saban to recruit and tailor said offense around the LoS. Lincoln might be more crafty about identifying unique strengths of players under his roster, then exploiting them, but he follows a pretty straight playbook that can be blown up once his OL and a key receiver are overmatched. I wished we had a couple more years to play him heads up, or at the very minimum, we didn't get fucked over with that call last year when Mims stepped out of bounds. It took more than that for OU to mount their comeback, but it certainly swayed momentum and it would have been fun to see Sark pour offensive gasoline on the fire of which only Lincoln used to play with. We'll get that chance again, I'm looking forward to it.
  22. Riley will never recruit an OL or DL that won't consistently get trucked outside of the PAC. He'll remain a one-trick wonder. I'm also ready for us to play USC again soon. We may get our wish.
  23. Fuck Alabama with the same degree of twisted shank. This should be a meteor game.
