  1. How Surly Worthy Are You? Mack Brown's nephew throws for 89 yards and a TD in the fourth quarter of the Spring Game. Choose the correct answer below: 1) "His performance is no measure of how he would perform in a game vs actual players" .................... 0 POINTS 2) "I like his sidearm throw and his lack of height is actually an advantage" ............................................ 5 POINTS 3) "He should give Arch a serious run for starter in the fall and is a sleeper Heisman candidate" ............ 10 POINTS
  2. "The only thing that's been proven is that he is a great football player."
  3. You're probably right that officially, Sark would not have undermined Cook, but it is interesting to imagine that the coaching community values their relationships with each other more than with many of the players, so perhaps there were some back-channel warnings. How else could Cook have had such a short leash of 48 hours? Of course, coaches are very conceited and always think they are the one who can 'fix' a certain player.
  4. Interesting comments from two different posters on the Reddit article: OurPowersCombined_12 'The rumor was that the ‘altercations’ were due to some stealy-esque behavior in the locker room.' 'Stealing from lockers at Washington got him in fights. He has a habit and needs help bad asap. Prob blew lol all his$ on certain drugs no doubt .'
  5. I have no idea why the University of Washington didn't work out for him. I mean, Sark and Pete Kwiatkowski have absolutely NO connections to U Dub, so there is no way any issues he had at Texas could have been communicated to the Washington coaches! Very strange.
  6. Johntay has been mainly repping a threads brand, possibly his, on Insta. I am guessing, without any evidence, that his arrest was for shoplifting apparel.
  7. Honest question. How do you end up in jail for theft between $100 and $750? Isn't that a misdemeanor? Is it because of the "Interfere w Public Duties" charge? Does that mean, fleeing, destroying evidence, resisting arrest? I honestly hope he gets some help. I wonder if all of his friends, who are pictured in all of his Insta posts partying with him, (while he, no doubt, picked up the tab) are now? Are they helping him? Or did they dump him when the money stopped flowing? There are also jealous 'friends' who enjoy bringing you down, just so they can feel better about being failures.
  8. And lol: What happened to the other top 10 QBs? Conner Weigman (No. 22 overall, No. 2 QB): Weigman entered the past two seasons as Texas A&M’s starting quarterback but has been injured or too inconsistent to hold down the starting job. With Marcel Reed taking over the role, Weigman transferred to Houston this offseason.
  9. This might answer my question about why its so hard to be a top QB in college. From the Athletic: "Only three of the top 20 prospects in the 247Sports Composite QB Class of 2022 have started more than 15 games at the Power 4 level, and 14 of the top 18 have already transferred at least once.
  10. Free Justin Tucker!
  11. Okay, my beautiful friends, I can now share my update with Arch and the Glorious Sacred Surly Horns 2024-2025 signed football. I got to hang while Arch Manning shot Red Bull promotional content. it was really fun and really cold, too. As previously reported, Arch is super-chill and very approachable. The event was pretty funny, 'cause one thing he got to do was throw marshmallows 50 yards into the mouth of this hilarious Instagram guy. Yes, you heard that right. I've never seen anything like it. Red Bull also bright this badass electric bike. It really wanted to come home with me. Best of all, Arch signed the Glorious Sacred Surly Horns 2024-2025 Football. @immamac, the ball now has the signatures of Arch Quinn Gunnar Helm Tre Wisner Jahdae Barron Isaiah Bond As requested, I will shoot for some more signatures. No promises. Thanks!
  12. My boy, Tucker, is a scoring machine!
  13. Why not? Of course, nothing is plug-n-play. You can't just start Robert Griffin III at UT and expect him to be great. He needs the right coaches, scheme and teammates. However, just to torture myself, I made this list of QB's from the state of Texas who played elsewhere, 2000ish-2004: Tier 1: Drew Brees Johnny Manziel Robert Griffin III Baker Mayfield Kyler Murray Jalen Hurts Patrick Mahomes Andrew Luck Nick Foles Caleb Williams (was at Southlake for a bit) J.T. Barrett Matthew Stafford Tier 2: Chase Daniel Graham Harrell Kevin Kolb Case Keenum Andy Dalton Derek Carr
  14. Considering the long history of the program and deep resources, plus the exceptionally high caliber of QB's from the state of Texas over the last 15 years, the list seems very, very limited. No one outside of a few older Texas fans ever talks about James Brown, yet he is on our short list as as one of our greatest ever. Think of all the great ones from the state that went somewhere else. Andrew Luck, Matt Stafford, Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, etc, etc, etc. Maybe it's just that hard to be great and you have to get very lucky with coaches and teammates Heck, Westlake HS has had more NFL success than UT QB's. I sure hope Sark can change that.
  15. This was my favorite moment from the video:
  16. Based in this incident, I always attach safety lines and a harness to the lamppost when I climb to the top during post-game celebrations.
  17. If Hitler had been accepted to art school, Hogan's Heroes would have never been made.
  18. Hi! I think you'd be a gorgeous match to represent our jewelry, so it would be great to send you 3 pieces for free (yes, FREE) of your choice. Just reply YES and we will mail you our jewelry to share on each of your posts. Just drop a DM. Thank you
  19. Excellent and congrats! I know how interesting it is now with all the new media. As a magazine publisher, PR connected to social media is a major part of our world. And yes, I am biased towards print reporters vs TV reporters. Real coverage vs sound bites and stunts.
  20. One of our first Hispanic stars!
  21. Now I'm offended that you aren't offended. That's really offensive.
  22. I was offended that the reporter interrupted the holiday press conference devoted to charity to ask about the player's health. You were offended that I was offended that the reporter interrupted the holiday press conference devoted to charity to ask about the player's health. I was offended that you were offended that I was offended that the reporter interrupted the holiday press conference devoted to charity to ask about the player's health.
  23. Where did you teach Journalism and PR, if you are willing to say? It is comical how many people are flattered to be interviewed by media thinking it will be a good thing for them, and it all goes horribly wrong.
  24. I hear you. I don't think I explained it well. The players were absolutely invited 'cause Raising Cane's wanted publicity for their contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of Austin. But don't ask the player about his injury when he just starts speaking about the event.
  25. I have a little Jahdae Barron story I think I can tell now. At our fundraising PR event, two days before the Clemson game, Isaiah Bond was speaking to the press. He was promoting the event and about talking how much charity could help someone like him who didn't come from a privileged background. One of the idiot local TV reporters asked how his health was, and was he going to play in the game. (I thought this was pretty rude TBH, since we were there to promote the event. Maybe ask the guy privately, but not in the middle of the promotion, asshole) Isaiah answered him about how he felt fine and was going to say more about his health. I was standing next to Jahdae and he frantically waves with his hand to stop Isaiah from talking about his health, which he instantly did. I think this was less about the event, and more because they may have been instructed not to share any info about the team. Just a quiet, little show of leadership from Jahdae. I was very impressed with both of them.
