  1. I went to my very first Cowboys game last fall. Wow. What a freak show. Had breakfast tacos at some bar, then caught a shuttle which passed through a really depressing neighborhood. At the game, there were lots of weirdly-attired dudes and their freak-show girlfriends/wives strutting around so everyone could see them. Saw lots of guys wearing those stupid, oversized chains as decor. Some of the fans seemed to view themselves as quasi-celebrity fans, if that’s even a thing. We did sit next to some fairly normal guys visiting from Virginia, (thank heavens.) I doubt I would ever go back. Stadium is awesome but had been there for Westlake state championship which was much more fun.
  2. I should really get to work but this is important.
  3. Huh. Well, I sure don't know. Erin Hogan said once the personal foul/targeting was called, it made all the other things non-reviewable. It's all besides the point at this part.
  4. They just said on 104.9 that once the ref called targeting, it could not be reviewed for a potential safety. The idiot who called roughing/targeting screwed up the play and by rule, they should have advanced the ball 15 yards. By not advancing the ball, they were admitting that they totally screwed up. It really was the worst reffing I’ve seen from Big 12 officials and that’s saying a lot.
  5. Jumbo’s post-game press conference is fun. Two things stand out: “I take full responsibility,” then goes on to throw everyone under the bus. He does the old, “I’ll give you a pointless synopsis of the game,” like we need him to tell us what happened on key possessions. We all watched it too, you moron. He probably does this just to reduce time for actual analysis and the dreaded questions. Enjoy!
  6. Always my favorite annual post. All I ever have to do is update the date.
  7. Even more distressing than the fight was the fact that the world appears to be knocked off its axis and everything is sideways.
  8. That's not why. It's because Hays wouldn't agree to a cash amount to allow Westlake to choose the refs for the games.
  9. Just as the Chaps are fighting hard to shut down the opponent, Thomas J Henry Law is working hard to make your little legal indiscretion disappear. Chaps up 42-0 in 2nd quarter.
  10. “50% of this is on the players 50% is on the quarterback and 50% is on the coaches” Perfection
  11. "...it's up, and it's a good one. They win." You gotta miss Dave South.
  12. I’m sure this has been discussed here, but since Ewers is so much more advanced than Card, would it have made more sense to declare him the starter much earlier and get him as many reps as possible? On a related note, and others have mentioned it here, wouldn’t it have made sense to leave Ewers in the game longer to get him as many reps as possible? Or, was Shark purposely limiting the film on Ewers before Alabama?
  13. This Westlake Chaps win over Judson recap is brought to you to the law firm of Thomas J Henry. Even more than the game result, it makes us proud that Thomas J Henry Law is the official sponsor of all Westlake Chaps game broadcasts. With every commercial break, time-out, halftime performance and even game action featuring a banner, phone number or email address for Thomas J Henry Law, it's great to know that such an important company and man are there to support our team's hard-working efforts. With a no-fee promise, over 200 lawyers available 24 hours a day, and help with every kind of injury cases including accidents involving commercial vehicles, you can be assured that just as the Chaps will give it all on the field, the law firm of Thomas J Henry will give it all for your case. This is a great comfort to our community and team, as our players can go full-speed knowing their DWI, driving without-a-license, underage drinking, minor-in-possession, arrest for shooting guns in residential neighborhoods, destroying private and public property convictions and more will be quietly and completely stricken from their record. For the families, fathers can rest assured that the little matter of secreting away their (former) business partner's assets can be settled in a way that will be mostly acceptable to both parties. And more importantly, just because Daddy has fallen for the cute little thing in the office, Mommy can't drain him of all the resources he will need to keep his new, 23-year girlfriend happy, which will probably involve some expensive travel. I can't recall much about the game itself, as most of the play was covered by the giant Thomas J. Henry banner featuring the banner below, an 800 number, and the words, "CALL NOW. Later, they simply cut the live-feed and replaced it with interviews with satisfied customers and their settlement amounts. I believe Westlake won, as it looked like they were interviewing the coach (or someone wearing blue and red) after the game and he may have been smiling. As far as memorable stats, how about this one: Thomas J Henry Law has won MILLIONS in settlements just this year, which no-doubt was huge help for his own divorce settlement and for the insanely expensive wedding he threw for his daughter and her music-industry loser husband. In parting, thank you, Thomas J Henry Law. Keep fighting the good fight we'll keep fighting on the gridiron. Go Chaps!
  14. Edmundson has great talent and might turn out to be a strong college QB, but is inconsistent. Threw bad pick-6s last season vs Westlake and North Shore.
  15. Yes, awkward. Turned into the Jaden Greathouse and Thomas J Henry commercials show. Westlake 37-7 at half. I hope Thomas J Henry's new wife is cute and that his ex got a great settlement.
  16. Thanks, as always. LOL about Westlake. QB issues will keep us from another state championship as Klubnik was the difference with those big, mean Houston schools.
