  1. I enjoy @'stache content and I hear what he is saying. It's really two different arguments. One is that the bloated QB contract is the new norm, and that it doesn't affect other salaries. I'll let the more learned debate that. The other is by what measure does Dak deserve to be treated as the centerpiece of a team. He doesn't show up in the big games, until the game is out of reach and he gets some great meaningless stats that the other team is happy to give up to get the game over. Perhaps a new start would help him. As everyone here has pointed out, Jerry Jones is the real problem, but that doesn't change the fact that paying Dak an enormous salary is detrimental to the team on many, many levels.
  2. I wonder if that Tufts professor pities the families who now pay $90,000 a year to go to a school with shitty food and no air conditioning, all for the honor of getting a pretty generic Liberal Arts degree. (My business partner’s daughter is a freshman there and they are growing increasingly bemused with the school. )
  3. Please list the QB's I listed that are currently measurably worse than Dak? And I honestly forgot to list Rogers, whom I would rather have in a heartbeat over Dak.
  4. Curious if there were any historic events that occurred without the people being drunk?
  5. Here are 17 quarterbacks currently playing in the NFL I believe are better than Dak Prescott. Would love to hear what other people think of this list. Matthew Stafford Geno Smith Baker Mayfield Lamar Jackson Josh Allen C.J. Stroud Patrick Mahomes Justin Herbert Kirk Cousins Andy Dalton Jared Goff Jordan Love Sam Darnold Jalen Hurts Brock Purdy Derek Carr Justin Fields
  6. I could name 15 QBs I'd rather have, including retreads ike Andy Dalton. Dak has never shown that he can win the games that matter. And now he's the highest paid player in the league? Hey, as a Cowboy hater, I love it. Hope they sign him over and over.
  7. Dallas doesn't have a best player on their roster. I'm joking of course, but referring to Dak as a best player, even relative to the hapless Cowboys, misses the point. Even if his contract dint affect signing better players, why would you pay him the league's richest contract when he isn't even a top 15 QB and has shown no indication of taking his game to the next level?
  8. This is shocking. No one could have foreseen this happening!
  9. To the people here who were criticizing us posters for saying that it was a mistake to pay Dak the league's largest contract, lol. The Cowboys absolutely did not have to sign him. They could have found anyone at least as lame as him and tried to build a team around better players. And yes, the coaches, and the GM suck.
  10. I owe everyone here an apology. When I posted this prophetic, fake Tweet two years ago, I was trying to be funny. But sometimes, trying to be funny backfires and people get hurt in real life. I feel I somehow cursed us all. I'm very, very sorry.
  11. In this short season, Aggie already has the Best Loss, the Best Win, AND THE BEST TRAP-GAME WIN FOLLOWING A BEST WIN!
  12. Surly Horns Hall of Fame move. Joking aside, Joe said his Suzy Kolber moment was what prompted him to get help w his addiction problem. As I recall, he said he was ‘disgusted’ with himself. I hope he got the help he needed.
  13. Guys. It was broadcast for free on YouTube. They showcase lots of games now for free, but I couldn’t watch Galindo. AND HAHA, now that Demi Moore is old, she says she finds trying to attract the ‘male gaze’ demeaning. She certainly had no problem with it when she posed for Penthouse when she was smoking hot.
  14. Are there people who not know that the game was broadcast for free on a YouTube? I drove from Houston so missed the first half. Tried to watch third quarter but between Galindo and the game itself, it was unwatchable. Instead, we watched the best scenes from A Few Good Men, The Wolf Of Wall Street, and The Imitation Game. I’m guessing there are also lots of folks who don’t know that Demi Moore shot a Penthouse spread before she was famous.
  15. Watching how Lincoln Riley calmly reacts to the pick six and then gives his QB a pep talk makes me sad, cause I miss Jimbo constantly yelling at his players during the game for ruining all his genius plans.
  16. If Arch passes for four touchdowns and 300 yards on Saturday, he will be the new, permanent starter. If Trey Owens comes in during the third quarter and passes for six touchdowns and 600 yards, he will replace Manning as the new, permanent starter. And if Cole Lourde comes in during the fourth quarter and somehow passes for 1,500 yards and twelve touchdowns, he will be the new permanent starter.
  17. “Complementary.” #Sorrynotsorry
  18. Well, they certainly called it, so my point is irrelevant, but honestly, the reffing is all over the place. I was surprised that it was called as it looked like he was going for the ball, and I am so often surprised when it isn't called. I have no idea what the standard is these days.
  19. Okay, not to change the subject, but which one of you guys was this? "The single highest individual penalty, $40,823, was issued to a traveler who brought their own alcohol on board, was intoxicated, attempted to smoke marijuana in the lavatory, and sexually assaulted a flight attendant – all in a single flight." CNN
  20. Are you going to stand by your statement that "...Stafford, who I think is the best comparison for Dak"?
