  1. I want Thomas J Henry law firm to have an injunction issued against the San Benito/Westlake game. It's very biased against Westlake for two key reasons. San Benito has had an extra day to prepare, which is patently unfair. True, we had an extra day to prepare vs both of our two playoff opponents, but those were due to weather issues, as opposed to this unsporting gamesmanship. However, the main reason is that the game is being held in San Antonio, which is blatantly biased towards teams from the RGV. San Benito will be welcomed at restaurants and the Mercado by locals who will be rooting for the plucky underdog, while anyone with a Westlake sticker on their car will be met with cold stares, and unkind comments. The game should be held in a suburb of Austin, albeit one that is south of the city. Additionally, San Benito should be forced to exercise energetically for at least three hours prior to kickoff to eliminate to the unfair advantage cited in paragraph one.
  2. @blacklab summed Dripping up well. They remind me of a mini-Westlake. Defense is tight and they had several sacks on Westlake. We moved the ball well on them but they stopped us several times on their goal line, forcing us to settle for field goals. (and they blocked one) Their running backs were nothing special against us, but one of them ran all over Lake Travis. Novosad, as Blacklab mentioned, has a great arm but can play erratically. After a slow start, he played a terrific game vs LT. I didn't think too much of Vandergrift or their QB last year, and we rolled them 70-7 in the quarterfinals. I think much more of this Dripping Springs team. I see them as a quarterfinalist or semi-finalist this season.
  3. No more reps of your posts til you share the whole pic from your avatar.
  4. Wow after all my big talk about Guyer, I guess they aren’t quite the Green Bay Packers. Actually, the Green Bay Packers aren’t quite the Green Bay Packers.
  5. That was 2018. We lost our amazing starting QB. It doomed us cause that was a really strong team (lost in the semi-finals) and we would probably would have had 4 straight championships.
  6. If Westlake somehow gets past New Braunfels, it's not fair that the winner of the SB v Taft game gets an extra day to prepare. True, Westlake had an extra day to prepare vs New Braunfels, I can assure you that that was unavoidable.
  7. Another awesomely astounding effort. Thanks so very much, as always! Again, I am not sure whether our beloved Chaps will make state in D1, but if they do, I'm sure glad they don't have to play Guyer. I think Guyer is the best team in the state.
  8. I don't know about y'all, but it's a semi-miracle that I'm even here.
  9. Agreed. Don’t think for a moment that he was the only guy who climbed that pile.
  10. Fair point. There is a surprisingly deep amount of research done on the subject, so we mostly referenced studies and conducted focus groups. I'm still friends w some of the parents who lost children. They have made the best of it, and even started really great foundations, but it never ends for them, especially as their (former) child's friends reach new milestones in their lives.
  11. We once created videos for Texas Parks & Wildlife Department warning people about the dangers of open-water swimming. We did research and found out that teenagers don't do dangerous stuff 'cause they think they are invincible. They do it primarily because of peer pressure. They don't want to be the one who wasn't brave enough. The videos were interviews w families and young people who lost loved ones due to drowning. That's a club you don't want to be a member of.
  12. Oh, yeah, forgot to give you a well-deserved shout-out for calling the New Braunfels upset over Reagan, as NB was without their starting QB!!!
  13. Helobious, what do you think of San Benito/Taft? @956 Worldwide says we may see an upset here. Do you think either can give our Chaps a good game, if we can somehow get past New Braunfels?
  14. "Men," he began his address to the officers, measuring his pauses carefully. "You're American officers. The officers of no other country in the world can make that statement. Think about it." Colonel Cargill, Catch 22
  15. Actually, it is in one respect. He brought a tight end from Alabama who already had a reputation for dropping balls.
  16. Genius. Thanks for providing me material for a fun Photoshop creation.
  17. I was there. Greathouse is an insane talent. Do you think our QB's lack of mobility will catch up w us?
  18. OMG. Just watched it. Thanks so much. You TOTALLY hit on what their problem is now. Motormidget can't shut his mouth! He talks to his team exactly like he talks at press conferences!!! He provides TOO much information, which causes confusion and paralysis. I can hear the players afterwards: "Wait. Did he say we need to attack on punt returns?" "No, he said we need to maintain our toughness, control the edge, fight through double-teams, and attack downhill!" "No, he said we need to get more push and regain momentum. That's what it was." LOL!!!!!
  19. Can’t wait to watch it. At the Chaps game right. Another inspirational performance by our undermanned, undersized team.
  20. At least Sam has had really stable, consistent and superlative coaching throughout his college and pro career.
