  1. I've known several couples that got pregnant after adopting, crazy how that happens.
  2. This is awesome to see. I am an adoptive parent as well in my case it was a relative placement from CPS. It started as foster care then became a permanent gig. I also worked at a children's group home with my ex as a houseparent. This facility at multiple homes on a 40+ acre campus that had several amenities for the kids. They mainly took in larger sibling groups of kids that were 4+ in age from CPS to keep them all together. Those are the hardest cases to keep together and adopt out. In some cases, the kids went back home to the parents, and in others they grew up there. I saw a couple of kids that lived there for 10+ years until the aged out. The campus also had a set of apartments for the kids that aged out and helped them get started with college or their careers so they just weren't dumped on the street. It saddens me to see the number of good people that I've known over the years that couldn't have kids, while you see people drag kids through shitty situations and still keep having more.
  3. I Grew up in Carthage, so the ones all over East Texas.
  4. It's hard to beat an old school small town DQ where the grease hasn't been changed in 30 years and the walls/ceilings are tinted yellow from the days people could smoke inside.
  5. They were between 3&4 the first time we did it and 4&5 the following year.
  6. My GF's (no pics) brother is a track engineer for one of the teams. She spent the weekend there with her Dad and got to hang out most of the time in the Paddock area with her brother and his team. She met several of the drivers and the celebs that visited the garage.
  7. Yes! I took my kids to Pensacola few years in a row, we usually left Dallas around 9-10 at night and drove straight through. I felt the trip went faster that way. One year we went around the 4th and actually saw several fireworks shows on our drive back.
  8. I just bought the Roku Express for $25. Very pleased with the interface of it so far.
  9. Had country burger in Murphy the other night. Slammed and went hard as always.
  10. Fucking sad stuff. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/former-texas-ranger-josh-hamilton-faces-injury-to-child-charge/287-4a2b4dc6-1345-496f-a93f-b8ad57a78033
  11. Adding the PlayStation branding to this hurt them. I had a conversation with some guys at work the other day about streaming services when I threw in my vote for PS Vue and all of them were under the impression you had to have a PS to use it.
  12. My Firestick has bit the dust for some reason, it will power up, but never gets past the black Amazon screen and then it restarts and the cycle repeats. I'm debating if i want to get another firestick or get a Roku. Any input? I currently use PSvue for football, Hulu, and Netflix. I plan on dropping Hulu when Disney+ launches since it will be included.
  13. Me too! I still think Eddie is one of the funniest comedians ever. Coming to America, Trading Places, and Beverly Hills Cop to me are some of my favorite movies and still hold up. He just did a ton of "paycheck" films over the last 2 decades to feed his 10 children. This movie was great and feels like the return of the funnier Eddie Murphy. I can't wait for his SNL appearance and future stand up routines. I found this article from last month recently. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/26/movies/eddie-murphy.html
  14. Same here, I could make it to the final castle, but never could figure out the pattern on how to get to Bowser for some reason.
  15. They have the flag upside down on the truck in the opening shot (:03). OUT.
  16. I've stayed in a cabin there a few times. We usually just grocery shopped and cooked at the cabin, but did venture into town some. ES is great for nature, but the town itself is a little bit of a tourist trap area. Pretty much any restaurant on the main strip that I went to was decent, but nothing to ride home about. It's a nice little getaway area and is quiet, so I do recommend.
  17. I used to live in Hot Springs & Little Rock, I find most of the food in HS is not the greatest and overpriced for what you get. Downtown is a tourist trap for the most part. I was last in HS in the spring here a few suggestions: Rocky's Corner-Pizza Steinhause Keller-German Biergarten Fisherman's Wharf-Not the greatest Seafood, but can sit outside on the lake if the weather is nice Pancake Shop-Seconded French Quarter-Very bad strip club (I have a story somewhere on the board about it) Avoid Brick Street Tavern-Food sucked Go to McClard's if you want for the beans and tamales, but avoid the BBQ LR- Quite a few things downtown Gus' Famous chicken Cooper Grill Dizzy's Cotham's-Only open during the week for lunch, but has pretty solid burgers
  18. What am I supposed to do with the other 8 minutes?
  19. I live at royal and 75. It sounded crazy and shook my apartment building some. The sky was lighting up green when the lightening struck.
  20. Finally got around to watching it last night. I thought it was a great ending for Jessie. I rewatched Felina before this and damn I forgot how good the ending was. BB is such a rewatchable show and I catch new thi gs every time. This movie has me itching for more and cant wait for BCS to finally return. I think the movie showed his evolution as a character with the flashbacks to earlier in the series where he is a dumbass punk and the junkyard guy referencing "yeah magnets". Jessie went to hell and back over the course of the series and deserved this ending.

Ten50 is at least better than Dickey's or Spring Creek.
  22. Wow, Maher actually got one down the middle.
  23. Yeah, I don't think this is the case. Example: Romo/Prescott.
  24. So after 6 months I decided I had it under control and gave it another go. Damn, was I wrong, it just lead down another path of self destruction and loathing in just a matter of a few weeks. Today marks day 2. My mother grew up with alcoholic parents, but I only need my grandparents as the sober living people they came to be in the later years. After my mother passed last year, my step dad was going through some of her keepsakes and came across my grandparents AA chips. I'm not sure how old they are, but I think they're cool to have and though some of you guys may appreciate them. I'm going to keep them on me as inspiration.
