  1. Not sure if y'all saw, but the picture of the backyard in the text is mine. It already has the stamped concrete in place, so my assumption is that they would built on top of that (i.e. no slab needed, right?). Will they need to demo my current roof where they tie in? Or do they just mount it directly on top? Regarding plans, is this something I need to provide to someone or is this something that the contractor usually provides? If the former, how would I go about developing (other than looking at pinterest)?
  2. I did 2 of his cases. The first went "fine" although he made abnormal requests. I say fine in that there was nothing neurologically wrong by the end of the procedure, but my scope of care ends there. I do not follow patient postoperatively. The 2nd case I did with him a patient died. We fired him as a client after that.
  3. I'm in North Dallas. Below is a quite I got from a guy in my neighborhood who has a company Answer to my last question w him "600 SF Cedar ceiling, 6x6 post, hang 1 fan (provided by customer), 4. can lights on a dimmer, composition roof, gutters
  4. Terrible recreational lake so I'm told. Friend had a lake house out there that they're just about to sell. They complain that there are trees submerged all over the lake so it's dangerous to ski and whatnot
  5. I work in probably the filthiest OR known to man. It's essentially a high school locker room. Great stuff
  6. Same. I've already got the slab done now I just need the covered part. Who would be the best option for a gabled roof covering? Roofers? Paging ROFLBOX I'm looking for a 15x35/40' covering
  7. Not so cool story. I worked with him on a few cases.
  8. Stayed at the Westin La Paloma a few weeks ago for work. It was awesome and the pool was pretty legit
  9. She already did a long time ago. A quick google search outta do it for you
  10. This. Reading that blog seriously gives me mad respekt for Tom and Michelle.
  11. For those who have ATT, did you disable the wifi on the uverse router/modem to utilize the google or just used it in addition?
  12. Well, we took a friend trip to Bolivar this past weekend and took a lot of shots. I made a few blunders and am wondering what the fix(es) are? I'm continuing to have trouble with subject focusing. I'm on "Evaluative metering" with the "Sports" preseting. Sure, there might be some camera shake but it's happening on posed pictures as well with the camera focusing on the T-shirts vs. faces. I made sure to half click the center dot on faces, but it still wasn't focusing correctly How do y'all combat lens/camera fogging? Every time I took the camera outside, it would be fogged for a ridiculously long time which made me miss a lot of shots or, if I took them, they were just foggy/cloudy At some point during some shooting, the camera changed to the "monochromatic" setting. I was just rapid firing a lot of pictures b/c the kids are tough to keep still, so I didn't realize it until the end of the shoot. Is there anyway for me to change this after the fact?
  13. Would you say...that would get you off on the right foot?
  14. I found it odd and disgusting that, even after JB was fired, the AD continue to defend his behavior as "it's just a product of his upbringing" and basically dismiss it altogether
  15. That was actually a question I had. Do you mind sharing what you paid for it? Maybe it's the angle, but it looks smaller than 30'. I actually went out to measure mine to reconfirm and it definitely is ~~32' x 15'. Anything you would have changed after-the-fact? If I go gabled roof, I think it would need to have more of a pitch so that it doesn't look funny w/ the surrounding roof design/structure.
  16. Lol. I love on the last episode when they show his house on Zillow. For how much he brags about all his shit....it's a $150K house.
  17. "We got a back fucking nucleus!!!" -- JB Uh....who's gonna tell him what the nucleus is of any football program?
  18. Well, we just refinanced so it looks like we'll be in this house for a bit longer. One of the commitments I needed to make was to improve things around the house, update master bath, pantry, and probably build either a pergola or a covered roof cable thing. The last one is what I want to focus on for this thread. Has anyone done this recently? Did any particular factor play part in you choosing a pergola vs. a gabled roof extension? My patio is approximately 30" x 15"...maybe a little larger. I haven't decided if I want the entire patio covered or not, but we get a bunch of sun in the evening that just bakes the backyard. I'm in far N DFW if that matters
  19. Was the guy losing his shit in the end of episode 5 King, the same guy that got a concussion? I just watched the next episode...yup...crazy
  20. What should be my starting point for exposure? Assuming not a lot of movement from the subject. Also, the grass appears pretty sharp in the picture, wouldn't it also be blurry from shake? Not arguing. Just trying to learn. From what I've watched on YouTube, a good iso starting pt for outside is 100, with maybe f8? I was playing w all modes at the time so I'm not sure which one for that particular picture
  21. I guess I didnt specify in the post, but I was looking for feedback. Certain elements appear blurry. How do I crisp that up?
  22. I'm going to go w tapa for now. Canon EOS Rebel SL1 Iso 100, f/18, 1/25, 50 mm
