  1. On the news this morning they reported this is exactly what he did. Put on his hazards and drove for less than two minutes until he found a well lit area to pull over.
  2. This is a really shitty take. He's getting conflicting commands telling him to first put his hands outside of the car and to then get out of the car, all while the guy has two guns pointed at him for no reason. You're asking him to process conflicting commands and come up with a solution on how to accomplish both at the same time, while all he can probably think about is not getting shot. It's unrealistic to assume someone is going to be thinking clearly enough at that point to think about opening the car door from the outside, particularly since he was still abiding by the law by having his seatbelt on. Putting your hands back inside the car to open the door or undo your seatbelt at that point is a pretty good way to get shot by an overzealous cop. He was in a catch 22.
  3. Are we sure he was just recently suspended? With practices just now starting there was no reason for this to come out earlier. Perhaps he was already suspended when he got arrested, hence the fact that CSPD was willing to arrest him.
  4. Good concept, poor execution. With better writing and character development the plot could have been expanded into a good series. Surlywood types should make this happen.
  5. Right, but the morning lineup today features back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to back re-airs of this week's installment of "Game Plan with Vic Shaefer". They don't even need to bother the football coaches to produce content; simply having RTF students piece together highlights for each signee would make for better programming. Let's face it, ESPN has given up. Wish someone who knows how to tweet (which makes me ineligible) would ask Del Conte about this.
  6. Or so you want everyone to believe. My guess is you're the proud owner of a Chameleon XLE... https://streamable.com/m7omz
  7. I believe Onboard was referring to one of the 2012 Presidential debates, which would have taken place in 2011. ISIS didn't get much publicity and didn't issue its caliphate until 2014, at which time Obama referred to "ISIL" as a "JV team". I don't consider 2011 recent though so maybe he was referring to a different event. If this discussion is about Romney's comment about Russia during the debate, he was broadly mocked by the left and the media for his comment. Something Madeleine Albright personally and publicly apologized to him for years later.
  8. Regarding my politics, all you should infer is I think the violent protesters at the Capitol and in Portland are idiots and both should be prosecuted. I realize we probably don't see eye to eye on that, but do you really think there's no correlation between the inauguration yesterday and the democratic offices in Portland getting trashed after protests that same day? And you're calling me stupid? Nice! I think we're done here.
  9. You jumped to a lot of conclusions there. I didn't say anything about Trump. I simply said I didn't expect Democratic offices in Portland to get trashed the day of the inauguration, but that in hindsight I'm not really surprised. Did you predict the Democratic offices in Portland would get trashed yesterday? If so, please start a newsletter with your future predictions and I'll be your first subscriber. $9.95/month sound fair?
  10. NBC's article offers some more detail: Some members of the crowd met in southeast Portland before heading to the Democratic Party offices dressed in black and carrying banners reading, "We don't want Biden, we want revenge! For police murders, imperialist wars and fascist massacres," and "We are ungovernable," according to a photo published by The Oregonian. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/oregon-s-democratic-party-offices-vandalized-amid-post-inauguration-protests-n1255118 Not what I was expecting after the inauguration, but in hindsight not really surprising either. The circle of politics is real, and the extreme far left and the extreme far right have more in common than they realize or care to admit.
  11. The point is we offered to play them, but they said their schedule was full when it clearly wasn’t.
  12. If his knee wasn’t down, wouldn’t that be a safety since his own momentum carried him into the end zone? Weird play.
  13. TH said sprained shoulder in his post-game interview.
  14. Me too. In this year of all years, why not?
  15. Eminent Domain. They can take anyone’s property. They have to pay for it, but they can take it.
  16. This is what I thought as well. He was desperately trying to make his case to Urban to not take the job.
  17. Right, while completely ignoring the fact that Texas is tied for 3rd in all-time wins. Made it sound like Texas has only been successful under Mack Brown and when Earl Campbell was here in the late '70s. Quoted a coach from the 1950s about the difficulty of meeting the high expectations of our fans. Implied we should keep Herman, then looked completely dumbfounded & angry when Desmond Howard said there's a disconnect between Herman and the players.
  18. I was thinking the same thing (but am way too lazy to do it). He's never shown elite speed, but he now goes out of his way to avoid contact and no longer shows any instincts when it comes to coverage. Really wonder what's going on with him.
  19. I remember hearing these exact same quotes 20 years ago.
  20. It was stupid they didn't go ahead and play this game last weekend when both teams had byes and, as far as I know, enough players to play.
  21. Joe Biden was Vice President at the time. It would have taken you less time to simply google that than to write your post, but sadly this is the world we live in. Here is an quote from a Reuters article from a year ago: "In an interview with ABC News aired Tuesday, Hunter Biden said in retrospect it may have been poor judgment to join Burisma’s board while his father was vice president" Did Joe know what his son was doing or how much money his son was making despite having no experience in energy and having been recently discharged from the Navy Reserve for cocaine abuse? We don't know and Joe isn't talking about it. This could be as simple as a black sheep son making a bad decision and a dad choosing to not throw his son under the bus. I have no doubt Trump is dirtier, but the silence from Biden on this is deafening and the lack of media attention from the MSM is annoying as it only fans the flames of the "fake news" fire. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-hunter-biden-ukraine/what-hunter-biden-did-on-the-board-of-ukrainian-energy-company-burisma-idUSKBN1WX1P7 https://www.wsj.com/articles/bidens-son-hunter-discharged-from-navy-reserve-after-failing-cocaine-test-1413499657
  22. This isn't entirely accurate. It's on SEC ALT, meaning it's not on the regular SEC Network channel and will be unavailable to some folks who get the SEC Network but don't have an expanded package of channels. I know this from experience as one time my in-laws couldn't watch their beloved Klan aggy Bulldogs for the same reason. I've since upgraded, but not out of a desire to please my in-laws or catch no-so-hot SEC action that's been relegated to the SEC Network's alternate channel because it didn't get picked up by CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or the SEC Network's primary channel.
  23. "Two months later, officials promoted Hernandez to detective." Pathetic. No excuses for this.
  24. You know the aggy administration wanted this - the AD was desperate to sell those seats. He was probably the most vocal person lobbying the SEC to make this a rule so he and the administration could avoid any criticism.
