  1. That's fine. I'll absolutely do some introspection and already have been. In the meantime, would you do the same and attempt to emphasize with a whole lot of communities--in this country and others--who absolutely feel a sense of fear and dread today and ask yourself why that might be? Is something also fundamentally broken that their fears of being punched down on are unfounded? You can dunk on us--largely affluent, educated class--all you want, and you should. We'll be fine. But I'm certain that you know people from a marginalized community or a disillusioned woman who feels pretty lost right about now.
  2. I mean, sure, why not. Majority rule, let's give the people what they think they want. He's not running again, so there's no benefit to him being terrible for the country to hamper his reelection chances. The question will come down to who he surrounds himself with. If you take him at, you know, his actual word, it'll be unqualified loyalists. He didn't accomplish anything he ran on in 2016 (not that I minded), and that was with a handful of adults in the room, steering him away from his childlike impulses.
  3. There's obviously some truth in what you wrote--being out of touch with the non-college educated working class and Latinos, for starters--but I'm not sure anyone was truly shocked about the loss. Rather, the nature of the loss, the rout, was completely unexpected by all, I'd assume even to you. But spare us the minority of a minority opinion bullshit. You've now definitively held the national majority opinion for exactly one day in 16 years.
  4. I'm not going to hand wring every policy they pass and thing they try to do for now. They won the EC, majority vote, Senate, and House. Let's give the majority what they think they want. That's democracy, right? Obviously, I'm skeptical of any operation run by the incompetency of Trump and the loyalist sycophants he'll no doubt surround himself with, but who knows. Have at it for two years.
  5. Why do you think it is that we've never been able to pass laws to harshly punish companies caught hiring illegals? That would reduce the crossings and jumpstart a better migrant worker program, no?
  6. Johnny Sack fucking sucks, we get it. But can we not make fun of people for being a successfully recovered alcoholic?
  7. Right. Your omission of the other side of the coin was accidental. My mistake.
  8. How about calling them pedophiles, groomers, trannies, betas, and "DEI hires"?
  9. Today I'm thankful that I have no idea who this is.
  10. Either that or a week of McDonald's
  11. Again, you're talking to someone whose friends and family overwhelmingly voted for Trump yesterday. Jesus Christ, look at my username. I'm not the "oh my god, a Trump supporter!" guy, as much as you'd like to paint me as that. But, 9 times out of 10, if someone's going to cross a line and say something pretty heinous...
  12. Thanks Johnny!
  13. No. The point was that Trump supporters whine about how they're mistreated like they're blameless in the ordeal. Just respectfully and peacefully minding their business. At best, they've proven to be an absolute annoying beating to be around at times. At worst, they're wildly inappropriate and offensive. And still, it's generally our side that has to hold our tongues. Lest we offend their sensibilities.
  14. Way to completely miss the point.
  15. What the fuck are you talking about? Proving that the only place I don't see Trump swag is the bluest state in the country doesn't make the point you want it to.
  16. I live in San Diego and go to Hawaii at least annually. Care to try again? But sure, not much of what I'm talking about in Kauai.
  17. Holy shit, pot kettle.
  18. Can we please knock this shit off about the big, mean liberals that have been so uncool to Trump supporters? Why, because Jimmy Kimmel insults them every night? The language from the top of the GOP has been leaps and bounds more hateful than that from the DNC for decades. So are you talking us "normal" liberals who make them feel horrible? In real life, none of the liberals I know would dream about bringing up politics out of the blue. Because we're not fucking psychopaths. That shit's rude. Meanwhile, ALL of my Trump voting family/friends find all kinds of opportunities to rant about politics/conspiracies or make an unprovoked comment about trans issues. And they've all unanimously managed to completely forget how social cues work. I can't go to a beach, lake, camping, or off-roading with my kids without seeing Fuck Joe Biden and Joe and the Ho flags and shirts near us. It's all so god-damned hypocritical.
  19. What happened? Something I have front row experience with: victimhood and neverending grievance.
  20. Other than the feels?
  21. I've always given him credit for that. I said it earlier, but he's the perfect candidate for our current social media/podcast/weaponized propaganda information sphere. He's a shameless self-promoter, he understands that there's no such thing as bad press, and he floods the zone like no other. All things great to attract the reality show/professional wrestling audience that makes up a sizeable chunk of our electorate.
  22. C'mon guys. Biden wasn't winning this thing with his approval rating, having to be in the public eye daily, and widely unpopular economic views.
  23. I take it you missed 2016. He can fake magnanimous for 24 hours.
  24. Yeah, the VP pick likely wouldn't have mattered enough, but probably couldn't have hurt to have one truly gifted orator between the 4 candidates.
  25. Abortion, legal weed, and gun control too, of course.
