  1. Want to know how I know you haven't actually watched this show...or apparently any of his shows?
  2. Smart strategy. If/when Trump is convicted, EVERY serious GOP candidate is jumping all over this. He'll get to campaign on being first, and thus Trump's biggest supporter. ...of course, Trump still wins the GOP nomination by 30 points from prison.
  3. Like, seriously, if Trump--the same Trump that we've all laughed at for 40 years--ran as an Independent, every single one of you would consider anyone who voted for him a gullible, conspiracy-loving rube with terrible basic reasoning skills. But that letter next to a candidate's name is some powerful shit, I guess.
  4. Sheridan sure does have the subtly of a hammer injecting his politics into his shows, but still a really good watch so far.
  5. Forget the politics of it. Some of you saps--and everyone I went to school with--voted for this abject moron. Twice. Must be a proud moment.
  6. Yeah man, Red Bull doesn't need to alter the cars for Max to finish in front of Checo every week. He's just that much better and more in tune with the car. It serves no purpose for Red Bull to field a different, slower car.
  7. I actually like Max, but I was rooting hard for the other two cars remaining on the track in Q2 to bump him out. He probably still wins from 16th (with the grid penalty), but it would have been a hell of a lot more fun to watch. Perez has been extremely disappointing all year, and the Constructor's Standings are still a literal joke. Red Bull has more than doubled Mercedes' points through 12 races. The gap is wider between 1-2 (Mercedes) than it is from 2-10 (AlphaTauri).
  8. Or finish 3rd to last among non-retired cars.
  9. I guess it shouldn't surprise me that these two dumbfucks couldn't put 2 and 2 together and realize that the best chance for a Trump reelection, and the only chance that DeSantis ever had to win a future Presidential election was running on the same ticket in '24. Now it's too late. Ronnie has ruined his brand enough that the guy facing a half dozen indictments would never select him as his VP.
  10. I'm not sure I buy that with Checo's struggles. He passes the midfield easy enough when he starts from the back, but he's not routinely catching the frontrunners. His livelihood depends on getting podiums, and he's missed 5 of 11 of them. If there was more in the car, he would use it. The Red Bull is obviously the fastest car, but I don't think it's by a landslide (maybe just a decent mudslide). I just think Max is really, really fucking good.
  11. Fuck no. 1) Barring a major economic setback or $6 gas nationwide, he ain't winning in 2024. 2) He is the GOP now. He's their problem. Don't give them a way out to return to "normal politics" and pretend that the last 8 years didn't happen. I want them to have to own that their only viable candidate and party leader--until his death and even in prison--is a convicted criminal. 3) I want Trump voters to have to own it too. A plea deal to remove him from politics would be the best case scenario for MAGA. "The deep state is terrified of Trump, and this was the only way to get rid of him." The true believers will always find a way to escape shame or placing any blame on Trump. But those closer to the middle who voted for Trump for some miniscule or imagined tax break, or fear of the border...know for the rest of eternity that you voted 2-3 times for the only felon President, and helped fucked over the country due to your selfishness and gullibility.
  12. I'd imagine that post-9/11 ultra patriotism bears a decent amount of blame for bro country. Glamorized rural Americana + moderately catchy (albeit stupid) chorus = Profit
  13. A politician resigning early with their dignity and some of their health and faculties still intact. Oh man, that's funny.
  14. Somehow, we're all always a little surprised about who will come out of the woodworks to defend blatant racism.
  15. [cut to 20+ Daily Texan regulars furiously nodding along like the fucking simpletons they are]
  16. I completely disagree, respectfully. I think his character drove home how the war wasn't fought with "soldiers" in the truest sense of the word. The guys in foxholes and leading men--sometimes to their death--were your soft-spoken nextdoor neighbor, your teacher, the clerk at the gas station. I didn't really like any of the other characters who all got shoe-horned into a respective stereotype. Band of Brothers did it a lot better in conveying that the bulk of the fighting force was just fucking kids.
  17. I'm sure Aldean's supporters would have no problem whatsoever if a black musician made a song about opioids, meth, pedophilia in the church, and school shootings.
  18. Is there a behind the scenes documentary anywhere about the Passion of the Christ? The amount of batshittery on one movie set is astounding.
  19. Get all the way fucked, you fucking loon.
  20. Seriously, fuck you Britain. You've had like 5 Donald Trumps. And try explaining the monarchy and Parliament to an outsider without sounding insane. And about the guns.....ok, well, you've got us there.
  21. X is the most extreme letter. Literally no other thought went into it beyond that.
  22. We live in an especially shitty Steven Seagal movie.
