  1. You watched that and actually believe that the reporter saw someone "shooting up" on his drive from the airport to his hotel? Not saying that it doesn't happen, but, man, the consistency that Republicans see homeless people doing heroin the second they set foot in a big, scary city is uncanny!
  2. Can someone point me to these thriving, utopian, Republican-ran cities that I hear so much about?
  3. At least I'm smart enough to realize that I don't fully understand the inner workings of the legal system and keep my mouth shut. Jesus Christ. You are in a cult.
  4. ...or any sci-fi movie from the 80's and 90's where it was obvious that the set designers decided to make the easiest/cheapest "futuristic" cars possible and slapped together some plywood. Pretty sure I saw some cyber trucks in Total Recall.
  5. Find me a conservative that decries the MAGA movement, acknowledges climate change and election results, supports uncensored education, doesn't want to make purchasing a gun even easier, realizes that forcing women to give birth isn't sustainable, isn't demonizing the LGTBQ community, and doesn't parrot the word woke like they get paid by the mention, and you'd have my attention. But that hypothetical candidate just got primaried 80/20, and one of their constituents is parked down their street with guns and a half-assed manifesto.
  6. This is exactly where I'm at, just much more eloquently stated. I don't know that I would have ever consider myself a Republican being a pretty much life-long agnostic/atheist, but I was sure as shit a hard right lean. It's funny reading posters like fatty make overly-simplistic, uninformed, emotionally-based, pat-yourself-on-the-back arguments because it's like, "Hey! That was me 12 years ago!" All the issues that I squabble about with Democrats just seem so inconsequential today while the GOP actively pushes hate, violence, conspiracies, climate denial, education "reform", culture wars, division, control over women, and dehumanization.
  7. I don't know, man, do you foresee the GOP reversing course on becoming a stochastic terrorism organization sometime in your lifetime? Probably, I'm sure, once that strategy proves to be unwinnable nationally for a few more elections. But I wouldn't put money on it.
  8. Also, I fully understand not liking Biden as a President or a candidate. I get it. But what about his platform, specifically, makes you abstain from voting for him over Trump, essentially conflating them as equal evils?
  9. Unless you get dinged up on the start and need to make an early pit stop, putting yourself in dead fucking last. Then, watch the F out; you're in Logan's wheelhouse.
  10. Two words: Valterri Bottas. If that's all that Red Bull wants--a very clear #2 who makes finishing 2nd in the WDC in, by far, the fastest car on the grid more competitive than it needs to be--then his seat is safe. No shame in that.
  11. Jeez, I completely forgot about Logan Sargent. Stroll at least stays close enough to the field to be annoyingly and dangerously bad. Logan has just been a complete afterthought all season, except when he causes a safety car.
  12. And, you know, the "no shit" observation that people who at least tacitly support ideas like homosexuality is a sin, the trans community are just people looking for attention, women should be forced to give birth, anyone poorer than me must be a lazy freeloader, and black people are biologically more prone to violence (aka the Johnny Sack special) tend to be shittier, more selfish human beings, in general.
  13. Yeah, no one hates Checo. He seems like a very likeable dude. But all the talk about the team purposely screwing him over and what not is a bit much. He's just not nearly as fast of a driver as Max. Probably the biggest disparity between teammates that doesn't involve Lance Stroll. Of course Max gets priority, and the cars tuned to match his driving style. If Checo doesn't like it, he needs to be [much] faster.
  14. I ask this every time that someone goes full on "both sides": please name the equivalent to the antics of the modern day GOP. And, shockingly, I'm still waiting for an answer. Acknowledging that one side is dramatically worse than pretty much any political party in American history isn't the same thing as saying that the other side is as pure as the driven snow.
  15. You guys are nuts if you think this gets any better with disqualification. It gets worse. He needs to be seen as the ultimate loser.
  16. Also do not want. I want him to have real jail time on his hands and get his ass beat down in the election. It's the only way to start healing. You think the nutjobs are incensed now; wait until "the silent majority" gets their preferred candidate legally removed from running by the "corrupt Dems who knew they couldn't cheat enough to beat him again." They'll never admit to being duped, regardless, and they'll never shut up...but a blunt reminder that they're the minority in this country might at least push them back to their shanties and dark corners of the Internet.
  17. Fuck [dramatic pause] that. Nothing that can be construed as a slap on the wrist because the case wasn't very strong.
  18. The fuck? Who talks--or writes--like this? Is she auditioning for her her own romance novel series? Because good luck ever getting this horrifying image out of your readers' heads.
  19. Right, so the "Biden is too old, but Trump somehow isn't" crowd is already full of decided voters, regardless of what Biden or his VP does over the next year.
  20. As bad as the cars were, Max still would have been right there had it not been for getting screwed twice by safety cars--the first one allowing everyone to pit without losing much time, negating Red Bull's strategy of staying out on hards, the second one right after both Max and Sergio finally pitted AND only being a virtual safety car, keeping the field spread out. Can't have all the luck for a full season, I suppose.
  21. What a weird take. They're college kids. Good on them for not wasting their Saturdays last year watching that crap when there were bongs to be ripped and co-eds to buy shots for. Any college kid that isn't a fairweather fan is an idiot. And good on them for getting the most out of this short little run that they probably realize can come to a screeching halt at any minute.
