  1. Saw National Treasure at Northwoods Theater in San Antonio with Tony Parker and Eva Longoria. I think it was a holiday or during the summer or something, went with my dad and brother around lunch time and it was just us 3 and Tony and Eva in the whole theater. Played in a golf tournament last year hosted by Bob Lily and Dat Nguyen. They were riding out the course saying hello to everyone. Of course when they got to us, I was hitting a really tough chip shot and had Bob Lilly just staring me down as I took my shot. Luckily I had a pretty lucky shot and got a "nice shot son" from Lilly. Dat seemed like a cool guy. When I was a student at UT, Jackson Jeffcoat was on the team. I worked at the call center calling alumni and parents for donations. I was in the Texas Parents calling pool and ending up getting Jim Jeffcoat on the line. He wasn't much of a talker but I just happened to be reading Boys Will Be Boys by Jeff Pearlman while I was at work and got on that call so that was pretty cool, I was just reading about the guy and all of a sudden I'm on the phone with him. Hung out with Dug Pinnick of King's X at SXSW my freshman year at UT. He was a super chill guy, he's the one who came up to me, not the other way around. I played guitar at the time but expressed my interest in playing bass, he tried to offer me one of his but he's a lefty and I'm not. Hung out with him at this festival for hours, smoked some funny stuff with him and his side project band he was playing with at the time, went over to Key Bar with him, he got me in since I was underage at the time. We waited there well after 2 am, Snoop Dogg was playing at Emo's that night and his assistant or tour manager or something knew Dug and was supposed to pick us up. Took him forever because he was securing some reefer for Snoop but he eventually came by and scooped us up and took me back to Jester. The next year at SXSW, me and my gf at the time were in the area and decided to go up to the Austin City Music Hall to watch the red carpet for the MTVU Woodie Awards. We just kind of hung around for a few minutes after they started taking everything down and an employee with MTV came up to us about 5 minutes before the show was about to start and handed us VIP passes. I sat right behind one of the guys from The Buried Life and chatted with him for a bit. Later met Aziz Ansari in the hallway and got a picture with him, he was a real nice guy, seemed genuinely happy to meet a fan and take a picture. Ran into Jani Lane of Warrant at the airport about a year or so before he died. Saw Malik Rose at lunch 2 weeks ago but he was just there with his wife, didn't bother him or anything. Ding dong ditched Bruce Bowen's house once, a buddy I used to play baseball with lived down the street from him in Sonterra in San Antonio. Priest Holmes used to go to my orthodontist, saw him in the office one time.
  2. Exactly. Me and a coworker were just talking about how we wished Hinch would move Bregman to the top of the lineup and were happy to see 30 minutes later that's exactly what happened. When you got Springer and Altuve coming after Bregman instead of Marwin and Yuli, I'd imagine they're not gonna be so quick to walk him every time now, give him a chance to do his thing Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  3. absolutely great game by Ehlinger but let's tap the brakes on any Heisman talk. Loved all the quotes after the Maryland game though...."Ehlinger is the anti cluch"...."we will never win with Ehlinger" haha bunch of gaping vaginas. but I guess it's understandable considering what this team has put us through the last several years Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  6. When I first graduated just a few years ago, I had my first set of season tickets for a year or 2. There was a much older couple right behind my seats, probably in their 60s or 70s. I was always respectful to them knowing they couldn't be standing the whole time so I never stood unless absolutely necessary to be able to see the field, if everyone in front of me was standing, then I would stand and then sit back down at the next available opportunity. If it was up to me, I'd be standing the whole time but I don't, simply to be respectful of others. But then they started complaining every time I stood up to actually be able to see the game, when if I sat, I couldn't see anything. I changed my season ticket location specifically because of that. I'm all for being respectful to others but I ain't sacrificing my view of the game when the whole damn section is standing and thus your sitting ass wouldn't be able to see it anyway, regardless of what I'm doing. There's a middle ground in all of this. Luckily I have since taken my dad's tickets off his hands and now I'm row 1 so I don't have that problem but unless it's a big major play, I always take a glance behind me before standing to make sure the people behind me are standing as well. But when people complain about the occasional standing, get the hell outta here with that shit, it's a college football game, not a night at the opera. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  8. Jesus man, it's too bad you're such a wet blanket....you of all people need a damn drink man. I'm glad you don't have season tickets because you sound like a horror to be seated next to. If you don't want any part of anything that can be considered "rowdy", just stay the fuck at home and keep your mouth shut. This is college football man. If you really think money doesn't matter in college sports, you have achieved a whole new level of idiocy. I'm starting to think you must be a shitty troll because the level of stupidity is beyond what I previously thought was humanly possible
  9. As a longtime lurker, I tend to just stay in the shadows here and refrain from making any comments but holy hell, this was the post crazy enough to wake me from my hibernation. Your takes are awful. You do realize he slashed prices on almost every in-stadium item and also introduced cheaper pregame beer prices outside of the stadium, right? Was that done with the wealthy people in mind as well? Although I guess the beer price thing wouldn't impact you consider you're one of the 3 people in the country who don't like alcohol mixed with their college football.
