  1. Gonna be there on Friday with the wife to check out Goldee's. I have heard about it and your rec makes it a go.
  2. Having worked four blocks from this location, maybe the Llano location has something but the Ft. Worth location is tied for last choice with Dickey's on my list. The fact it is located in the Stockyards makes it likely to never go under due to the tourist customers, but locals have better options as mentioned in this thread.
  3. Plus when the priority is building some sort of riverfront attraction like San Antonio, there isn't enough funding for public transportation left over.
  4. For the 12th largest city in the country to not have reliable public transportation is a joke. And unless you are willing to chance riding our glorious bus system, you are pretty much screwed.
  5. Recently returning from Idaho on SWA, the wife and I got the bulkhead seats when I noticed that the luggage bins were jammed all the way back to the fourth row. This is my biggest gripe with SWA letting people shove their shit in the first bin and sit in the back of the plane. No problem, I put our two carry on bags in the bins available and then stepped around all of the bum rushers who were forced to wait while I took my time getting our bags out.
  6. Panthercity BBQ trailer just south of downtown across from Republic Street Bar. This is where Heim started. https://www.panthercitybbq.com/
  7. FIFY.😎
  8. Good dog Emma!! Here for you Deej. . .
  9. Sometimes the HOF gets it right-this is one of those times.
  10. Catheterization anyone?
  11. FW-on Magnolia south of downtown and westside on White Settlement Road.
  12. Right you are. http://www.stopbaptistpredators.org/index.htm
  13. Winner. Baby Got Back now playing in my head while considering Heim BBQ for lunch.

    Texas BBQ

Love me some Cotten's having grown up in Corpus Christi. One of my four food groups growing up was 5 chopped beef sammiches for $1 at Roy's BBQ in CC, and the fact that there was a location on Staples across from King HS insured that I never ate a cafeteria meal there in three years. God I miss those wonderful meals almost as much as the wonderful people who cooked them and knew me by my name when I came to see them.
  15. F-9, the Fast Saga. Worth seeing in XD and a continuation of one of the most successful movie franchises in history. Especially enjoyable when there are only four people in a 165 seat theatre and no cellphone interruptions.
  16. Other than having more bugs than any streaming app (which sucks balls whenever it freezes), still enjoy the programming. Hacks/Mare definitely brought Jean Smart back to centerstage after a long absence and she should win every award nominated for. No Sudden Move last night was also outstanding, but can't get Rami Malek as Freddy Mercury out of my head whenever he is in a program. Malek and Denzel Washington killed it in NSM.
  17. This. Hoping there is a season four.
  18. Sorry for your loss Tailgate. Never easy bidding farewell to a loving dog which I am sure Tank was to you and your family. My family and I are still telling stories about the ways our dogs enriched our lives with love and humorous memories and it has eased the pain of loss as does the passage of time. Good boy Tank!

    Fat People

Still makes me laugh to this day as much as when I heard it live in 2017. Oh, and where are all of the Fat Lives Matter organizers after reading this thread??😁 Don't answer-likely pounding Krispy Kreme or churros.
  20. Yeah, like I just drank liquor/tequila because I enjoyed the taste.🤪 Near beer and this scenario remind me that for most normal folks drinking alcohol or non-alcohol is an option. I'm closer to normal today than ever before leaving this option to those who have already arrived.
  21. If you have a chance, the Hilton Waikoloa Village has a Dolphin Quest that was one of the most enjoyable experiences the wife and I had while on Kona. https://dolphinquest.com/big-island-hawaii/
  22. If you are bluffing with a gun pointed at someone and they call your bluff, this is the result. Either go all in or fold with firearms.
  23. One more childhood memory bought up by a corporation. Shipley donuts were a Saturday morning tradition.
  24. Stories like this are why I'm glad I have had canine kids in my life for over 35 years. And when they are gone, the stories always bring a smile/laugh from whoever else has a dog.
