  1. Yeah if someone is struggling to pass the ball, then by all means, keep the serve on 'em. In beach vball sometimes you can serve the weaker hitter or passer from the other team into a rhythm, actually helping them. That probably applies sometimes indoor as well. If they're passing the ball well, there's no point beating your head against the wall. Gotta be willing to change shit up if needed. As a player, I had a decent topspin jumpserve, but I got a ton of mileage out of changing shit up all the time, like a baseball pitcher. I did everything. Topspin jumper, standing topspin, cut serves, floater, varying pace, short/deep, serving from all across the serving line, serving from way off the line or right on it, crosscourt/down the line/up the middle, etc, etc. Anything to keep the other team from settling into a rhythm. And more often than not, that worked. I didn't see this match, but I've noticed we don't seem to have much variation in our serving. Semi-related csb: Once in the firefighter olympics state bvb tournament, we had this guy on the other team in the tank. It was July. Old rules, big court, sideout scoring. Grinding. He was hot, and he was fucked. We were cruising. We had gone undefeated in pool play, and this was like the third round of single elim. All we had to do was keep it on this guy, and we were through to the semis. My partner Alan knew the guy, and started feeling bad for him. He started serving the other guy instead, giving his friend a break and ltting him get into a rhythm setting for his partner, who was fresher and was a better hitter than him anyway. Crazy. Kept doing it. They ended up coming back to beat us like 18-16 or some shit. Fuck Alan. Never played with him again. Dipshit motherfucker. Wasted my fucking Saturday. /rant
  2. Aight? I dig and appreciate @SL Xpress's info. There's just usually more from different people.
  3. Sorry, couldn't see the game because fuck the Mouse. So, what were our key issues today?
  4. lmfao ...
  5. Clear as fucking day there. The ball doesn't come anywhere near the plane until both the ball and the ballcarrier are OB.
  6. Yep. Speaking of which ... y'all go take care of this assclown (aggy, I presume, judging by the lifted 4x4 he uses as his profile pic). I mean, we won, so it's all good, right? What a fucking idiot. There's more where that came from.
  7. Seriously, Clark? Yeah, I mean, how many times was Vandy even called for holding? Not many. If there's no consequence, they're just gonna keep doing it.
  8. Tbf they both saw it on the replay & pointed it out though.
  9. You're far too kind, imho. I think it's far more likely that they had an agenda to make sure Vandy lost by no more than 3.
  10. Hadn't seen this view from behind the pylon. After viewing that, given the offset and the geometry there, I don't see how anyone could deny there was fuckery afoot.
  11. Aggie or not, he ain't wrong.
  12. Yep. The ref is standing right there looking for exactly that, and somehow couldn't see it? The only way you 'miss' that one is if you're trying to miss it.
  13. Great series. Congrats, Dodgers ...
  14. It really is just that simple.
  15. I think I would have had the middle infield at DP depth there, but it worked out.
  16. Damn. You fast. I edited that like 5 seconds after I posted it.
  17. This. You put him on, you put the go-ahead run at the plate.
  18. If the Jays win, I gotta go with Vlad.
  19. Snell? Aight.
