  1. Yeah. And it’s going on 70+ years. Possible the cedar siding was doing some of the load bearing? All the old plumbing was to ~500 gallon septic tanks made out of concrete. Sturdy as fuck but I think only about 1/4 to 1/3 of what code would require for size now. And the drainfield wasn’t much either. Of course, 2-3 generations later, the crack head family members just ran the main line to the ditch when the line to the tank broke and they couldn’t figure out how to fix it.
  2. Weird. I've heard of blocking in specific spots for specific things, but never seen this. I’m not saying it is right. I think it is done to save a few bucks by people who don’t know what they’re doing and/or don’t think anyone will notice. I’ll see if I can find pictures of the one we gutted. The 1950s home as we were taking it down
  3. Wait...runs wall studs horizontal? Say more about this... They’re not holding anything up. It’s just framing to hold up drywall. I think it saves a handful of 2x4s. They did this on our house built in about 2000. I also recently found it on a house we are redoing built in about 1950
  4. My room where my wife hung up a picture. ETA fuck any builder that runs wall studs horizontals to save a few bucks. Just making the wife problem worse
  5. It’s the opening credits. Who gives a shit. People need to put the phone down and go outside.
  6. Well now I actually want one of these
  7. I’m seabrook/clear lake area. Did a tropical storm just roll in from the north? Was going to sit outside and enjoy it but the wind is crazy
  8. Yeah. Crazy she is gone after so many years 😥 Edit - also how does Emilia look like she’s 18 still?
  9. We have since replaced our AC, but we installed a 1 ton mini split. You can find them for about $700. We still use it now and generally save money because no point in cooling off the whole house when we mainly use one room
  10. Yeah but the way the chart reads, you have to get close to that edge to have that characteristic. Mid line means neutral (thus Rage is only angry). So that chart impure they are nothing. Which is wrong. And I’ve probably spent more if CNN my life in that chart than is warranted now
  11. Or someone has 480 hours.
  12. Well, clearly it can reach the Titanic wreckage, I think the bigger question is the return.
  13. Are they saying Foo was nothing?
  14. To go alone with the AI talk
  15. Anyone else would have been pursued by every cop in 50 miles and dragged out of the car and beaten, not merely charged with some misdemeanors after the fact. At least he was relieved of duty as Shaouni was later arrested and charged with misdemeanor crimes including speeding, reckless driving, resisting an officer and felony fleeing from law enforcement, Seminole County Circuit Court records show.
  16. I enjoyed Onward and rewatched it a number of times at my kids request (about 6 and 8 when it came out). Turning red was also enjoyed and rewatched. I think maybe some of y’all are just getting too old.
  17. I asked ChatOn to calculate the pressure drop of some fluid through x amount of sch 40 pipe. Asked if the same question 3 times. It solved the problem a different way each time. Once it was turbulent flow and twice it was laminar. Got 3 different answers, orders of magnitude different
  18. We watched The Power. I’m not sure if there’s supposed to be someone I like and am rooting for or not. If there is one person I root for, ironically it’s a guy (guy that also was in Ted Lasso)

    Getting old sucks

Yeah. Serious. Been a 5th time since last post. We’ll fuck me that sounds bad. I don’t have a regular dr. What type of dr should I be looking for?

    Getting old sucks

I think I’m peeing 6-9 times a night. I’m already about to make my 4 trip since laying down 3 hours ago. Wtf
  21. I’ve never played a Diablo game on anything but a PC. Is it worth playing on ps5?
  22. I know on one hand you want to provide cheap and reliable energy as a means to sttract and incentivize business and technology, but on the other, if any single source is getting so big it is driving the bus for the whole state (that includes residential) seems like a steeper tiered rate (increasing with increased use) for non-resi use is needed.
  23. Did it break down where the energy was coming from? I’ve seen rigs in industrial parks allowed to use excess energy, I’ve read about the ones burning waste gas that would otherwise be flared. Would be interested to see what % is pulled straight from the grid
  24. He’s not talking about upper division classes. Calculus is not an upper division class. It is taken by freshmen. There was a calculus for us nerds, and another for the Neanderthals who need to use their fingers and toes for addition. Same with physics and chemistry. There was not, however, an intro English/lit for socially awkward people that sometimes forget to shower.
  25. My garage.
