  1. WTF? Why are they pulling Morton?
  2. Is it me or is the link not working?
  3. "On Thursday, in a conference call with a group of lobbyists, Mr. McConnell vented that the party’s Senate candidates are being financially overwhelmed because of small-dollar contributions to ActBlue, the online liberal fund-raising hub." This is extremely telling on where each party gets their power. Personally, I'd prefer it to come from the people, not the lobbyists and corporations.
  4. Agree. Also, for those that don't care if he is gay, it's just another bullet in the gun for the "He only wants power and he will lie about who he is or what he believes for that power" crowd. Hurts him from both sides.
  5. Something like "I am currently not in support of it, but we will wait and see what the President and Senate Republicans do in the coming weeks. We will see if they go by the rules they set for our country 4 years ago or go back on their word. If they go back on their word from 4 years ago, we will take another look at it." Put it back on them first and remind everyone of their hypocrisy.
  6. The "He got the questions!!!" conspiracy theory/complaint is so fucking dumb. They're going to ask about the same topics, which should all be a part of your platform anyway. They're not going to ask about immigration and COVID and then shift to ask them about the Bolshevik Revolution.
  7. Just caught up last night. A couple of things I am keeping an eye on: 1.) What are Stormfront and Mr Andre up to? It seemed like he unilaterally put her in the 7. Then the Compound V story broke. He seemed like he had it under control and she's out there talking about how terrible Vought is. They're up to something. 2.) I'm interested in what Black Noir is thinking. They seem to put the camera on him when something is going bad for Vought or the 7 and he seems really interested in Butcher. He may be looking to switch sides. He's also kind of been a useless character, so it would give him something to do.
  8. Just finished Season 1. Enjoyed it enough, but not sure I feel the need to continue on. The old trope of "walking into a room at the wrong time, causing everyone to get mad" wears me out and that was a big go to move. It seems like Cajun really enjoyed Season 2, but any other opinions? I may wait to see how 3 is before committing to 2.
  9. Watched the documentary Boys State the other night and really enjoyed it. It was filmed at Texas Boys State. If you don't know what Boys State is, every year 1,000 or so 17 year olds come to Austin and over the course of a week, basically create a government. It's a totally insane idea. The doc made me both hopeful and terrified of our future leaders. Highly recommended.
  10. I saw a sign on Perry Lane in Austin. It was a Biden'Harris sign and on the bottom it said "We won't make you eat bleach". Pretty good slogan.
  11. I think #2 here is actually really important and can affect change through more voting. I like that that was included.
  12. Just picked up his book from Book People today. Looking forward to reading it.
  13. Creeping up to punch out a high cross, I guess?
  14. They added Harley Quinn, the cartoon series. I've wanted to watch it, but it was only on something called DC Universe. Through a few episodes and holy shit this show is insane. It's also very funny.
  15. I love Giroud. He's such a good player. It's kind of baffling to me how much he's played as a sub both at Arsenal and at Chelsea.
  16. Watched an episode of Supermarket Sweep earlier today. What a wonderful time capsule of the early 90's.
  17. Maybe I missed it, but can someone post The Ingraham Angle's "Shut up and Coach" segment on Tubberville? Or does "Stick to Sports" only apply to black athletes?
  18. Roger Williams, her opponent, is worth $25M+. A Roger Williams quote: "A socialist wants you to get a check from the government... a capitalist wants you to get a check from the place that you work." Also Roger Williams: Took PPP loans for his dealerships and then voted against PPP loan recipients and amounts to be public She lost by 7% two years ago, but hope she can make it interesting this time around. Also, this district is a gerrymandered disaster.
  19. Hegar is way back in the polls, but every one I have seen has HUGE undecided numbers. There is a chance to close the gap with those undecideds. Id be shocked if she catches him but she could make it interesting. Particularly if Trump keeps bleeding out in Texas.
  20. New Margo Price coming out tomorrow. I've liked the early released songs, especially "Twinkle Twinkle"
  21. How many "Christians" watch this and nod their heads?
  22. This whole line of "They hate America" because you disagree with their politics is so damaging and disgusting. Fuck these people
  23. The arena thing is really interesting and makes a ton of sense. I was thinking that DKR would be a great spot for voting as well, particularly if the virus is still raging. The virus seems to not transmit as much outdoors, so holding voting at least in the concourses (if not the field) would be a great option. Unfortunately, I imagine it would be shot down since it's a state university and in a state run by the people who want as little voting as possible.
  24. Hey man, I live at 2222 and Mopac. My rep is Michael McCaul, whose district takes a sliver of central Austin, then fans out east to catch La Grange, Brenham, etc and goes all the way to Katy. How is someone supposed to serve the interests of Central Austin AND the good people of Columbus, TX.? Not a whole lot of overlap there.
