  1. I need to not take the bait, but USC? What on earth are you talking about? Having more titles in the history of college baseball does not equate to, “Still have better baseball programs than us.” LSU, I would agree that they are the premier program in college baseball and have been the past 20 years. USC has won one title in the past 48 years and has only been to Omaha four times in that span, the last of which was in 2001. There are, at least, 50 programs better than them right now. Fucking Greenspoint.
  2. Anyone got any of that doom and gloom Satya stuff from earlier this week? The boners are starting to get too big ‘round these parts again.
  3. I hope with my entire being that Livingstone scores the first TD of the season. This place will go all the way to 11. Then, directly following, Satya will write his newest exposé on why Texas is screwed, CTJ will pass out from the sheer emotional dissonance of the entire experience, and SydneyCarton will give us one of the most amusing and memorable recaps of the event in this site's entire existence. In short:
  4. Yep. This is the doom loop we seem to be stuck in as a program.
  5. At some point there must be progression in terms of outcomes. The Kelly fatigue is real, and it's mostly due to the lack positive progression despite every resource to do so. Like with Rodney Terry, I hope it's abundantly clear she should be retained, or let go, after this season. However, I'm inclined to predict it'll be more of the same.
  6. Of course the gray hat is mostly hiding behind Higgins in the photo since it seems we've decided we'll never wear them again.
  7. Anyone remember what the infamous porn link led to? His shenanigans on the OTF live streams may corroborate his, uh, "interests."
  8. Somebody tell me if this is a stupid assumption, but if Winfield was being pushed out, he'd already be in the portal, right? Especially given the portal window is May 30 - July 13. Not saying he won't portal though - he could generate interest from other schools if he continues this pace in Summer ball and decides he wants to lock in a starting role elsewhere. He simply needs to enter by July 13th. Picking a school can drag on.
  9. I'm betting Blake knows we are going to land some combination of these three guys. Even if he doesn't, I'm betting Texas does. Maybe not all three, but I'd put the O/U at 1.5.
  10. Yeah, it's pretty fucking sad that while other schools/programs are evolving with the times, apparently Texas is not, and won't. Man, we should just fold up shop then. -BO&W
  11. Yep. I don’t understand it at all.
  12. No. He definitely doesn’t. And I’m sure most posters here don’t either. Otherwise, BO&W and The_Great_Hornsby show up and talk shit about all types of stuff to do with non-revenue sports during postseason runs or big games, routinely get dunked on or proven wrong (just as TGH did with the softball national title), don’t learn a damn thing, and the cycle repeats.
  13. No intel on RBs. Panic and run. Panic and run!!!
  14. This all sounds oddly familiar... How much longer until top players turn on each other and also demand to be paid like their male counterparts? Just kidding. That's a bad WNBA joke. I'm happy there are legitimate professional opportunities for these women.
  15. Except, not at all. Especially in the Director's Cup thread.
  16. I doubt it. I don't think every school is going to fund scholarships to the same extent Texas will. The are probably some traditional T&F powers that won't be able to.
  17. Those would be great series based on the trips, stadium locales, and general atmosphere (Wisconsin with a better atmosphere, though). I know I won't get many backers here, but I'd love to terrorize Nebraska in Lincoln again. That was always fun.
  18. The new scholarship count for T&F will vastly help both the men's and women's teams.
  19. Stacking some portal talent already. This is nice...
  20. Oh, good. I thought we were going to incite another seven-page diatribe on the topic: "If top recruits don't immediately contribute as a freshman, they must be busts"
  21. They have a lot of young players/prospects, need more pitching, and are gearing up for other FA signings. Makes sense. Also not surprising given all the drama around where he'd play earlier this season. I still don't like it though. It certainly feels like a better move for the Giants; at least for this season.
