  1. I think people are going overboard on how many triggers it should take Dany to go full on bat shit crazy. The main strike is that she comes from a long line of people who interbred like minxes for 300 years and there is around a 50/50 chance that she would eventually go insane as a result. That's even before you get to her having a psychopath as a brother who sold her for an army, her having messianic delusions about herself, her losing two of her children/dragons and everything else. Killing things with dragon fire had become her go to way to solve any problem long before she burnt down KL and she was likely already nearly mad regardless of how much it was conveyed by the show. Her coin toss came back crazy as fuck.
  2. I think at this point the two forms of the story are clearly on divergent paths. So watching the series enfold now isn't really the same as having read the books and knowing where GRRM means for it all to go. So in that regard I think people would rather just watch the show for what it is sans spoilers.
  3. Redskins have dropped a lot too in the last 20 years.
  4. Bro do you even Gerard Butler? I should have said trust to make action movies which actually make money.
  5. He's the only guy in Hollywood that movie execs trust to star in an action movie that isn't a comic book movie. So that's what we get.
  6. I see Montana and Brady as close to equal up to the age of 34 except that I think Montana was slightly better but Brady has kept chugging along into his 40's and now has 6 rings so he gets to be seen as greater. Just the way it is.
  7. I think the argument would be more like 'won 6 but defense carried him in 3 or 4' but I give him credit for not screwing up those 4 wins. Its not much different than most any of the qbs with 4 or more sb wins. Bradshaw played on teams known for their defenses and even Montana got carried by his defense quite often.
  8. This is one of those trades where everything just happens to come together for the Mavs. I don't think NY wanted to max him out and instead think they are going to be able to sign some combo of the big fa's available this summer. Mavs had expiring contracts and one young piece worth trading for so were able to take advantage. Just need KP to stay healthy now.
  9. I get the feeling he called up BB and asked if he could hang around for a weekend to try and learn a few things then just kept showing up and BB didn't feel like saying anything to him so long as he just hung out in the back of the meeting room eating doughnuts. I think they gave him the consultant title more out of pity than anything else.
  10. 300#'s were rare even into the 80's in the nfl. Much more so in college. I looked up Anthony Munoz as an example who was probably the best ol in the nfl in the 80's and he was listed at 6-6 280.
  11. Just very accurate at basically every throw, great at avoiding the rush, could run for 1st downs when he needed to and very clutch. Also prob wins 3 Super Bowls in a row if he doesn't get that knee bad injury against the Giants in the 91 nfccg which sort of ended his career except for those last two years with the Chiefs. Having said that, he did benefit from having very strong ol's, the atg wr to throw to and very strong defenses. So ya I definitely had Montana ahead of Brady up till Brady won his 5th and kept playing at all pro level into his late 30's.
  12. They also appeared in one against the Packers in 96 or 97.
  13. The needle is broken. It only moves one way now or until espn loses broadcasting rights. Been that way since two loss lsu was picked for the title game.
  14. Engler doing his best to make sure people think of msu in the worst possible way. Apparently he thinks that's his job there.
  15. I give zero fucks and respect everyone else's right to do the same. The self righteous are generally the biggest assholes in the history of the world.
  16. And was also hosting events for his charity for young boys that Paterno attended and told people what a great guy Sandusky is. All after Paterno had knowledge of several incidents/rapes which had occurred between Sandusky and the boys who were being 'cared for' by his charity/pedo network.
  17. Makes me wonder if Sark was told he could be the heir apparent there if he came back as oc.
  18. I wouldn't count Bama out as long as Saban is there and getting top 5 recruiting classes every year but I think from here on out its going to be harder. That game was the first real crack in the armor we've seen since he got the program rolling in 09. Plus now he has 6 rings and is closing in on 70. So he's just not going to bring the same fire and will to win every day that he has for the last 10 years. That all trickles down and will probably result in one year where they lose a couple games by 20+ points and Saban hears the rumblings from the fans and says fuck it and retires. Could be next year, could be 5 years from now but I bet he already mentally has one foot out the door. The rest of the sec just has to improve enough to push him through.
  19. Same year sec had 4 out of the top 5 halfway into the season and all 4 lost big in their bowls as I recall.
  20. Doesn't stop the media from talking up teams like msu like they are some kind of perennial national power. The sec has a lot of programs which are historically pretty good it goes about 5 deep. Tennessee hasn't been worthy of that kind of respect in a long time. Arkansas has been mostly terrible for 5-6 years but let them go 3-0 against some cupcakes and beat a school like Missouri and suddenly they will be top 15. Now that the Mississippi schools got investigated(sort of)they will go back to being the doormats they were for most of the previous 40 years.
