  1. Republicans are dishonest. Plenty of them are going to lie and publicly say they don't support Trump in order to try to avoid being treated as they should be treated.
  2. Republicans not only accept, but are absolutely proud of Trump's, and their own fundamental and pathological dishonesty.
  3. I wonder if that guy is a Republican.
  4. I was just thinking, if I had to choose between having this guy as my doctor, or say, consulting with my local oil change bay attendant for medical advice, or really, any advice, on anything ... I’d go with the grease monkey.
  5. did Sway take out this week - pretty limited menu but they do have a couple of our favorites are on the take out menu. we added on one of the whole cured and roasted chickens from the market section and had that the second night. it was the best item of the order by far (and the rest was great) and for $12, pretty good bang for the buck.
  6. no, stupid. I gave an example in the post you respond to. now show yourself out and shut the fuck up.
  7. waitress: would you like some fresh ground pepper on that? me: yes waitress: say when me: when your wrist starts to get tired
  8. those sound tasty - although i am talking about goldfish, not chips
  9. when I was growing up, my dad used to make a hot dog soup that was sort of a chowder, with Campbell’s tomato soup as the base, canned corn, sautéed onions, cubed potatoes, and cut up hot dogs. I think he learned it in the Army or some shit. I loved it.
  10. try to imagine being so dishonest that you say this and actually think it is a good point
  11. triscuits are pretty much the perfect cracker for cheese now, when you top the smoked gouda flavored triscuit, with .... smoked gouda? that's next level snacking right there also - why does canada get all the boss supper flavor blasted goldfish varieties like sour cream and onion, salt & vinegar, parmesan, and colby jack, and i can find here is cheddar
  12. your mom's ass
  13. white american, baby swiss and provolone GCS on homemade sourdough not pictured: chili chez fritos
  14. i have never watched Narcos, but i picked up Zero Zero Zero based on the reccs in this thread, and agree that it is awesome. loved the three stories intertwined together. kept thinking that the brother might be Timothy Hutton's kid.
  15. whoever is responsible for the decision to take rye Triscuits off the market should be publicly executed
  16. haha, i also have to know if this is for real or just a funny characterization of a crummy Alamo-made lasagna
  17. weird, I always though Swam was a dude.
  18. its amazing to me that otherwise rational, sane people believe that there are going to be anything even resembling legitimate elections in November. Republicans are not going to allow themselves, and Trump, to be voted outed of office. that's not speculation, that's being proven in no uncertain terms in real time.
  19. 100% of Republicans
  20. I mean, why
  21. i have not had the book that long so I have only tried a couple of them myself. there are quite a few of her recipes out there online that i have used and that's what ultimately prompted me to get the book. i suspect though, that there is overlap so I have probably done quite a few of them. i am fascinated with all the different ways to make dal - and to me its almost the perfect vegetarian dish - so that's what i usually concentrate on. edit: decided to try this one from Fresh India tonight roasted broccoli with cardamom, nutmeg and almonds chana masala for the entree
  22. too busy owning the libs
  23. we ate at one of Ottolenghi's restaurants - the one in Soho, last year. really enjoyed it. the Guardian is a great resource for recipes and food info and articles. lots of stuff from/about Meera Sodha, who is a master of Indian cooking IMO and particularly vegetarian Indian. Fresh India is a great cookbook, and one of my favorites. I read it even when I'm not looking for a recipe or planning on cooking anything in particular.
  24. "i'm so glad we finally have a president who spends his time trolling the libs. especially during a global pandemic when thousands of Americans are dying every day." -Republicans
  25. sure. i'm not advocating for 100% D govt. but the goal should absolutely be 0% R govt. - even if it is not an attainable goal. Republicans simply have nothing of value to offer. every R that is removed from or replaced in any office is a victory. Trump is A problem, and is surely a dangerous and immediate problem, but THE problem is Republicans - they are the ones who brought us Trump despite 16 other alternatives to choose from (although, admittedly, many of them would have been awful, especially Cruz) - and they are the ones who have continued to support him, and continue to support and elect the sycophants who excuse and foster Trump's complete incompetence and criminality. they can be marginalized and their voices drowned out if enough sane people work at it over time.
