  3. Saw Adam Schefter say dead cap hit of over $95mill for Dak that could be spread out over a few years. I thought the $40.4mill number on Spotrac was more accurate??

  5. Doesn't surprise me. Both players need a reboot and better development. Playing for a different staff might help both of them.

  7. NCAA has stipulated next portal window for FBS football will open Tues, April 16 and remain open for 2 weeks. https://footballscoop.com/news/portal-king-lane-kiffin-has-proposal-for-really-stupid-system-in-ncaa-transfer-portal Kiffin believes there's an opportunity to strike balance in the system but also not preclude a player from transferring -- after a full year at an institution. Multiple personnel sources throughout college football told FootballScoop in recent weeks that discussions are underway to have players who commit to a program from the NCAA Transfer Portal sign binding paperwork for at least one year. "I brought (having a binding agreement) up in meetings when they first went down this second (Portal calendar opening)," Kiffin told reporters. "I’m like, ‘You better make something where they've got to sign for a year’ so all these portal players that after last season go in, at least they’re signed for one year. Not one semester without playing in the offseason. "Would that happen in the NFL? Go sign in the offseason, get a contract, get paid and before you ever play go somewhere else. I have these rants on this thing, but because it’s really a (crappy) system. We’re going to utilize it just like the players. I’m not mad at the players, they’re going to utilize it. We’re going to make the best roster that we can, but it’s not good.”

  9. Sources: Texas to add former SEC position coach to support staff Former Ole Miss corners coach and new Texas analyst Keynodo Hudson first worked for Steve Sarkisian at USC. ZACH BARNETT 2 HOURS AGO Former Ole Miss cornerbacks coach Keynodo Hudson is expected to join the Texas staff as an analyst, sources confirmed to FootballScoop on Tuesday. Inside Texas first reported Hudson's hiring; Hudson was seen working with the Longhorn defensive backs during the first week of UT's spring practices. Hudson spent 2023 coaching Ole Miss's cornerbacks but was not retained after Lane Kiffin hired former Louisville defensive coordinator Bryan Brown as co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach. A West Virginia Tech graduate, Hudson has previously coached defensive backs at Western Kentucky, Illinois, and Florida Atlantic. Hudson was a defensive administrative assistant at USC from 2012-16, which overlapped with Steve Sarkisian's season and a half leading the Trojans. Texas has been looking for another set of eyes in the secondary. The Longhorns were previously set to bring former secondary coach Duane Akina back to Austin, but Akina opted to remain at Arizona upon the change from Jedd Fisch to Brent Brennan. Akina is now Arizona's defensive coordinator. The Longhorns finished 49th nationally in pass efficiency defense in 2023, but return four of five starters in the secondary.

  12. Officiating in this game has been too big of a story. Damn cougar high melting down in last 2mins of this game. wow
  13. So with Texas and blOU leaving, what changes might happen to B12 basketball next year?? Assuming all the current B12 coaches return along with Yormark's affinity for WWE style promotions, next year's B12 season seems like a no brainer to be a big-time marketing event. What do the remaining B12 teams fans want to see changed or improved for 2024-25 season??
  14. Hunter needs a reboot -- it's not good for Hunter or Texas for him to return. Big year for RT -- up to him to rework this roster to compete in the SEC. Gerry discusses next season roster building in this video too.
  15. What an underachiever here. For his sake and ours, Hunter should transfer to reboot his career. It's not working at Texas.
  16. Barnes coaching really sucked last night. RT sucked worse...
  17. Gerry: "Ugly embarrassing loss for Texas" Critical of RT's coaching in this game and team's terrible performance.
  18. Refs just making it up as they go -- no one has a clue what a charge is anymore.
