Sources: Clippers trade Tucker, Bamba to Jazz for Eubanks, Mills The LA Clippers are trading forward P.J. Tucker, center Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash to the Utah Jazz for forward Drew Eubanks and guard Patty Mills, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania and Bobby Marks on Saturday. Tucker has not played for the Clippers this season. He stepped away from the team in October, with the two sides reportedly in agreement to find him a different situation. The move puts the Clippers $4 million below the luxury tax threshold, giving them more flexibility ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline. Tucker, 39, is in the final season of a three-year, $33 million deal he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022 before being traded to the Clippers. Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 draft, was averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 28 games for the Clippers this season in a reserve role behind Ivica Zubac. Mills, 36, signed with the Jazz in the offseason and is in his 16th season in the NBA. In 17 appearances this season, the veteran guard is averaging 4.4 points per game. Eubanks, who turns 28 Saturday, signed a two-year deal with the Jazz in the offseason and was averaging 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 37 games for Utah. The Clippers will be his fifth NBA team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018.

All Four 5-Star players on defense... With early signing day in the rearview mirror and national signing day just a week away, the 2025 recruiting class is all but officially wrapped up. This means for the Texas Longhorns they have secured the nation's No. 1 recruiting class. This was further confirmed by On3.com Thursday when they unveiled their final player rankings for the 2025 class. The final rankings saw Texas bring in two of the top 15 and four inside the top 32 players in the nation according to On3. The 25-player class is headlined by five-star edge rusher Lance Jackson, who is the nation's fifth-best player. The Texarkana, Texas, native ranks only behind Bryce Underwood (Michigan), Keelon Russell (Alabama), Elijah Griffin (Georgia), and Will Black (Notre Dame). Meanwhile, Jonah Williams, the five-star safety is already on campus as he prepares to play for Texas baseball as well. Was the second-highest-ranked Longhorn at No. 15 nationally. Kade Phillips, the five-star defensive back came in at No. 21, and Eljiah Barnes, the five-star linebacker rounded out the top-32 for the Longhorns.

Not sure when Austin American Statesman became aggy's paper??? 😡 Date: Sunday, Feb. 2 @ 5pm CT TV channel: SEC Network Texas A&M women's basketball has a hefty test at home Sunday at Reed Arena when the No. 7 Texas Longhorns make the trip to College Station. For the last two games, the Aggies have played without their scoring leader, senior guard Aicha Coulibaly, who suffered a leg injury against LSU. On Thursday, A&M was blown out 72-51 against the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game where the offense struggled to score. Against the Razorbacks, sophomore guard Solè Williams led with 13 points and tallied more turnovers (13) than assists (10). A&M was 5-for-22 from three, 18-for-56 from the field and had seven bench points compared to Arkansas' 21. Now they have to face ranked, rival Texas in the hardwood version of the Lone Star Showdown. The Longhorns completed a Thursday 71-60 win over the Missouri Tigers and are eighth in scoring offense with 85.3. Texas is also sixth in bench points, averaging 32.2 per game. A&M will have its work cut out for it in a game where anyone on Texas can have a dominating performance. Senior forward Taylor Jones leads the team in rebounding with 151 this season (12.6 per game) and sealed the Horns' win over Ole Miss. Sophomore forward Madison Booker is Texas' leading scorer, averaging 16.1 points per game and is a force on the block, as well as junior center Kyla Oldacre, who averages 9.6 points per game. Senior guard Rori Harmon, who returned from an ACL injury she suffered last season, leads the team in steals averaging 2.5 per game. With all the assets Texas has, it will be a battle for A&M 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oklahoma State approves shorter, lighter contract for Mike Gundy Entering his 21st year, Mike Gundy will no longer have tenure atop the Oklahoma State football program. Zach Barnett 3 hours ago Following the worst season of his 20-tenure tenure, Mike Gundy will coach 2025 on a reduced contract that makes it easier for Oklahoma State to identify and compensate a potential successor. The Oklahoma A&M Colleges Board of Regents on Friday approved a previously-reported $1 million pay cut for Gundy, which also effectively ended his tenure atop the OSU football program. Gundy agreed in principle to the changes last month. He will now make $6.75 million in 2025 instead of a previously-scheduled $7.75 million. The deal comes with annual $125,000 raises. In 2017, Gundy and OSU signed a 5-year contract with an automatic rollover. That deal has been replaced by a 4-year contract, which is now set to expire in 2028. Additionally, Gundy's buyout was changed from a percentage of the dollars remaining on his contract to a flat fee of $15 million for the next three years. It would have cost Oklahoma State a reported $25 million to fire Gundy after 2025 under the previous deal. Speaking of buyouts, the new contract requires Gundy to participate in "identifying, evaluating and developing a potential successor to facilitating a smooth transition of the program to the new coach" at the request of AD Chad Weiberg, according to The Oklahoman. The $1 million that Oklahoma State is not paying Gundy will now be put toward the anticipated revenue share with Cowboy athletes. Gundy is also contractually required to participate in fundraising, which can include anything from "large gatherings to one-on-one events" at the request of the AD. Following a 3-9 season in which Oklahoma State finished alone in last place in the Big 12 by two games, Gundy will be the only on-field assistant to return to his staff in 2025. Doug Meacham (offense) and Todd Grantham (defense) are new coordinator hires who will lead staffs comprised of position coaches who all coached elsewhere in 2024.

Sources confirm Arizona State lands rising star from Washington staff Doug Samuels 1 hour ago After serving as Jedd Fisch's director of recruiting at both Arizona and Washington, Josh Omura is set for a return to The Grand Canyon State. Sources confirm that Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State, fresh off their appearance in the first 12-team College Football Playoff, have lured Omura to Tempe with a critical off field role that will take advantage of the rising coach's skillset. Omura is set to hold the title of executive director of player personnel and recruiting for the Sun Devils, sources share. Before linking up with Fisch, Omura worked with Nick Rolovich at Hawaii and then Washington State. At Hawaii, he started as a recruiting intern before being elevated after less than a year on the job to director of on campus recruiting.
