  1. Ewers is definitely the better of the two. The kid can uncork it for 70 yards almost effortlessly. No need for a huge windup. Maalik has a beautiful delivery also. But needs more reps. He might even have better touch on the deep ball, if so, it's only slightly better. What I like most about Maalik is him willing to sit and learn. If we don't land Arch, Maalik should have a solid grasp of the offense and be more than capable of taking over the roll without any drop off Senior Season Highlights_.mp4
  2. Hahaha. That's right up there with aggy math on Jimbo's new contract. A Research and Engineering school where math isn't a struggle, it's a complete failure.
  3. Exactly. As long as Ewers is somewhere near what all experts project him to be, there isn't a competition, no matter what the coaches say. It changes the dynamic of a defense and how much the DC will risk/gamble when facing a QB that has a 50% or less chance of hitting the long ball, and one that hits that throw consistently. Then add in the other dynamics like one that will hit for 60 + yards with a laser if receiver is open, but also drop it in over the shoulder into a breadbasket if the receiver only has a step on the CB. Compared to one that it is a coin flip to hit at 45 maybe 50 yards, but the ball is going to be in the air a time because he almost has to throw it as high as it has to go deep. There is no real competition. But it is always better in this case to make it open. We have Ewer and Maalik coming in, it wouldn't be the first time open competition sent the expected starter to the bench and then packing. Ewer and Murphy were both supposed to be in this 2022 class, and Maalik is probably the only one in this class that matches up with Ewers arm talent, so it isn't like no one else has a chance. Plus we have Card at this point.I highly doubt it, but who knows. Maybe it clicks with him and come spring, he comes in confident and firing rockets. I wish that reciever out of 'cuse that's in the portal didn't have academic issues. Taj Harris (?) Is like 6'3" , can stretch the field, and has solid stats. I think he leads the country in receptions when in single coverage. He'd be a great counter to Worthy. There is another one from Vandy that's interesting. He also has good stats. He was Vandy's best reciever (only reciever) so he did respectable work for always having 2 or 3 SEC cover guys all over him.
  4. I like having Maalik RS his first year and as QB2 his freshman year. If we don't land Arch, Maalik can make all the throws and has an arm that is NOT considered second fiddle to anyone's, including Ewers. He just needs polishing. He comes into the program well aware he lacks the development and hungry to learn the things he needs to be a better QB. Sark's distinguished track record with QB development is what brings him and Ewers to Texas. oh and did I mention Maalik hurdles an upright defender in their state championship? What's not to love? I don't know if Sark is the guy, but I hope like hell he is. I can only imagine what recruiting will look like if we start to play football like we know what we are doing.
  5. I wouldn't turn my nose up at Malik. He is a development player that is said can make all the throws also. Some say he has a better arm than Ewers, others say it's on par with, but I've never heard anyone say it's weaker.
  6. He might find all this shit intoxicating... Diva?
  7. It makes it fun when you actually keep your commits and flip others instead of having top targets slip through your fingers while a third of the commitments get flipped. Great work by the staff.
  8. Direction. Yes Vicinity? What parameters would you like to set to determine your answer? But it doesn't matter. We are going to fool everybody and not throw the ball a single time a season.
  9. Hitler's youth got cool little daggers made from the finest German steel. SSaggy are only allowed fake swords.
  10. If Collie Town had been in Germany, that would have been the biggest SSaggy factory... I can see how that would've played out.. URGENT STOP!!! DON'T TOUCH THE JEWS. SSaggy is the real threat to all humanity and sheep. They must be stopped before they contaminate us all. Hitler. I have released SSaggy on humanity. And with that, I have become dumb. I'm going to go put a bullet in my head now.
  11. I'm curious how large was the fascist movement on the aggy campus in 1939.
  12. I'll withhold judgement until after the holidays and see if they are back to banging...
  13. We were the biggest contributors to Alabama's slight dip this year. We took half his coaching staff. But the biggest blow was taking Kei Rob. When their RB went down, they began having problems running the ball. They didn't have their plug n play backup because he was in Texas backing up our guy. Their next RB wasn't as skilled, nor was he ready to take the bulk of the workload. Still helping little brother earn those little gold stars and they have no clue how much we do for them... Lol
  14. Since it's pretty obvious that comprehension isn't something you need to waste any time on, I shall help you with that... Starting to does NOT mean equal to...
  15. There's only been two 1.000 Mack got one, Sark got one...
  16. Just realized we got Ewer on the orginal schedule we were supposed to. He was a 2022 commitment for Texas, and here we are 2022 recruiting cycle. I can't wait for Wednesday. We may have a pleasant surprise or two.
  17. This and the BIG commit we got from the elite OL are the type of things we've been needing around here to get us pointed in the right direction... Elite players love playing with other Elites. All of a sudden you look at Texas and it has Bijan, Ewer, Worthy, and Banks, and Texas has elite skill players in critical positions, and recruiting big targets gets much easier... Great job.from Sark. He's starting to bring in talent at Macks level. We will see if he can coach or not, but he's obviously one hell of a recruiter..
  18. According to his 1.000 ranking (as a junior), yes. But Arch and family don't have a problem with Arch redshirting his first year. Eli redshirted. the Mannings are football royalty. Arch and the entire family know this is his career. And his value only goes up the better he is in college, riding pine for one year while learning the system is a plus long term, and Ewer will probably only be here 2 years before moving on.
  19. Banks starts day one even if we have to roll him out there in a wheelchair.
  20. I'm not sure which ones, but several recruits that were on campus yesterday were staying the night and going out last night with some of our guys.
  21. And he still has his brain intact.
  22. GO Army! Beat Navy! And while you're at it, swing by collie town and beat fake army too.
  23. Aggy is so fucked. New defensive.scheme and practically their entire defensive unit to replace. Curious to see how many decommit before Wednesday. This could be huge for Texas.
  24. I saw that post earlier and laughed my ass off. Aggy elite with practically a .500 average in SEC conference play. .500 in BIG 12 conference play. And .500 in SWC conference play. If that is elite, we must be gods
  25. They had something to fill some of that void space in their hall of champions and aggy'd it up... Whoop!
