  1. Legitimate salsa as well. I hate driving to my tailor over there after moving to Memorial, but Mi Somberero is a nice treat when I’m over there.
  2. Great , great film. But I think Inception is better. Amazing cast and a super interesting idea. That said, MM kills it and evil Matt Damon is more f***ed than Ripley. Hathaway also great. Maybe her best performance… but still can’t touch Leo, Cillian, Hardy, Watanabe, Caine, and Cotillard cooking.
  3. Yep. At least the Outfit can operate a baseball bat.
  4. I went with Batch 2. I like fruit notes and I’ve tried it before at Whiskey Cake and loved it. It’s a hitter for sure.
  5. A Bernthal as Wayne Jenkins with a 6 pack of hard lemondade is the GOAT Halloween costume. But the only people that would get it are in this thread.
  6. The Chicago Outfit is just fucking with us now. What was that Whataburger commercial?!
  7. The troll people that live under Globe Life Field/behind home plate are always an interesting watch.
  8. Bryce Dallas Howard being fat now gives me the sads. She was straight fire back in the day.
  9. Fried burnt ends sounds like it should definitely be a thing.
  10. I thought I laid the sarcasm on pretty thick.
  11. This will be Rich Paul’s magnum opus. Bronny has to be a lottery pick to satisfy LeBron’s ego, but he has to be drafted by a contender.
  12. They're pinning all their hopes on the fat fuck aggy tackle guard.
  13. JD10 Batch 02 or 03? I’m cracking one of them tonight.
  14. The owner owns a bunch of restaurants + a catering business. He’s doing fine.
  15. It’s worth the risk to me. They do a lot of catering and weekend brunch business. They’ll be fine.
  16. I’ll give Urbe some love on here. Best guacamole I’ve ever eaten. It has some very niche menu items, but they also knock the classics out of the park. An additional shout out to Guadalajara. It is what is there, but their bacon wrapped quail is the best. I mentioned Mi Somberero in the Tex Mex thread. The Tommy Tacos are a 10.
  17. The original Lupe’s on 6 is probably my favorite Tex Mex spot in the city. I’d eat there a couple times a week if I worked at BP. Quality and prices are better than any other location. My second favorite place I’ll keep to myself. It’s in a very busy part of town, but it’s abandoned at lunch during the week. I’d like to keep it that way.
  18. We talking chicken fajitas or beef? Looks like $60 for large beef fajitas.
  19. I don’t know to feel about El T. They could sell margaritas and tacos at the Juice Box and NRG and continue to exist forever. I’ve had so many good meals at the Washington and Gessner locations. One of the few places with pork fajitas and brisket crunchy tacos. I agree their prices are insane. I remember paying $15 take out fees during Covid, and becoming deeply bitter. But I still remember carne asada + 2 rita lunches for like $30 back in the day. I think Los Tios is the same quality and much cheaper. They have $10 lunch specials. Happy Hour ritas are like 5 bucks. I think we’d all be wise to stop ordering fajitas and go back to the old school combo plates at little neighborhood places.
  20. Travis Scott is also selling Coug High and aggy merch, but I don’t see anything about him visiting in person. I’m not a fan, but it’s good publicity targeted at recruits. Plus he’s not Drake so no curse.
  21. I think my plan is rewatch We Own This City again to laugh my ass at Bernthal then Season 2 of The Wire.
  22. Bulleitt 12 Rye remains a banger for 50 bucks. I’m glad they brought it back. Yes it’s MGP rye, but the age and proof are working for me.
