  1. While I think the future is bright, I worry that the young core is made up of good players, but not All NBA players. Alpi and Green would have the best chances of getting there, but they’re years away. I think Wemby to the Spurs was a Silver rig job. Nothing we could there, but losing out on Cade, Banchero, and Chet is just terrible luck. I’m all for running it back with a healthy squad next year, but somebody needs to emerge as a superstar or they’re going to have package young players for a proven All Star soon.
  2. I’d ask them to seat you in the back. The middle is loud AF. Order the seafood tower. It’s very impressive. They also serve magnums of Silver Oak. Also impressive. Y’all might not care because you’re going to a ballgame, but I’ll warn you, there’s no dress code and many Houstonians dress like shit. Even during the big convention weeks, you’ll see assholes in there wearing tank tops and flip flops.
  3. Egg 9-10 in the novellas. I believe it’s stated in the middle novella that he’s 10. The announced actor is also 10.
  4. I won’t book bitch here. Good episode.
  5. No GOT news?! Be better surly. Jon Snow spinoff effectively dead. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kit-harington-says-jon-snow-184819162.html The Hedge Knight cast announced. https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/game-of-thrones-prequel-hedge-knight-knight-of-the-seven-kingdoms-cast-peter-claffey-dexter-sol-ansell-1235961895/ I liked Kit Harington as Jon Snow and I was looking forward to more Onion Knight. It kind of feels like Harington showed up with a creative team and GRRM/HBO were like who the hell does this guy think he is? The Hedge Knight is going to be a tough HBO adaption. It’s not a Sunday night show. It’s young adult fiction. I’d be shocked if there any sexual situations because it’s just not in the text. I think it could be a good hang, but please don’t stretch each novella into an entire season. Two eight episode seasons and get out clean. That said, who the hell knows what HBO will do? The basis for House of the Dragon, Fire and Blood, is a history textbook written by a maester and a jester.
  6. Good DL play sets the floor of the defense and usually takes away the run. It allowed the aggy program to tread water. Shitty ROI, but it got Pate and TexAgs excited every offseason.
  7. The Browns are thirsty to put weapons around Watson. I could see it.
  8. Not Yordan’s best throw. Any decent throw on a line gets Perez.
  9. We’ll just have to disagree on Kroll. He ruined a few scenes on Shadows. I think the Young Larry premise could work with tweaking in the right hands. Hell, Jerry was roommates with George Wallace for a decade. That’s a show.
  10. There are better baserunners in the Cactus Jack than Altuve.
  11. Nick Kroll is awful. he has the unique ability to be the least funny character on every shows he’s cast in. See The League and Shadows. Dan Levy is funny but I think he typecast himself in Schitt’s Creek. Politely, you gotta be kidding on the other names you mentioned. 99 out 100 Americans couldn’t pick them out of a lineup.
  12. I’ll give Jimbo and DC’s some credit for prioritizing DL. The NFL game is moving towards overwhelming offenses with superior DL play and skirting by with cheap/young pieces in the secondary. DL are playing longer and getting paid more while corner is becoming the new RB. Don’t give them a second contract because they might be out of the league at 30.
  13. I didn’t care for The Watch’s recap of the Curb finale, but they made a good point. After Curb, where will the next generation of Jewish comedians come from? It feels like an end of era that stretched from Catskills acts of the 1920s to Seinfeld to Curb.
  14. I would tell them to play the long game. They’re going to get paid every time the company needs to dig a pipeline, install an electrical line, and build a road. A lot of companies are actively using solar to power their wells. The possibilities are endless depending on their location. It’s not a royalty check , but there’s good money in surface rights. I’d probably say no to gathering tanks, saltwater storage, SWD injection wells, and frack pits, but everybody has a number. I like how the Texas GLO handles it. If the landowner owns the surface on GLO lands, they split the minerals with the state.
  15. No eye candy downtown. Maybe the tunnel during lunch. Need to go to River Oaks for all that. Vic & Anthony’s is terrific, but you can’t hear shit in there. I’d conclude all business before dinner.
  16. Terrific points. The land ownership issue is a big problem even in China.
  17. Buffett is buying/owns so much Oxy because he has preferred stock from a $10 billion loan. 8% dividend. If you’re looking for a consistent performer with a good dividend I’d recommend Chevron. I know a few former Texaco dickheads that can’t stop talking about how much money they’d made from the Chevron dividend.
  18. Jim Rome is going to be a must listen tomorrow. He’s boys with Cal. He went on a 10 minute rant recently defending Cal and urging Big Blue Nation to chill.
  19. I wonder if Sweat didn’t want or leave his whip overnight? Also Uber fucking sucks lately. What an idiot! He should have taken an Uber is just a lazy reaction. I’m sue there’s more to the story. Regardless, Sweat should have been in Arizona or Florida training. OTA’s start in June.
  20. Even for Pawl that’s a bad take. He must have caught some heat from Bama big wigs for pumping Texas up after we beat them. He probably believes the quickest way to piss us off is to compare us to aggy.
  21. I read somewhere that crashing a real 747 into a hangar was cheaper than CGI.
  22. I finished the book earlier today. I wanted to be ready for tomorrow and spot deviations from the book.
