  1. Who’s better? Waylon Jennings was incredible but he didn’t sing like Stapleton.
  2. Any Houston Rodeo without Stapleton feels like a L. He might have the greatest voice in the history of country music.
  3. Watching this one live. Gosling and Stapleton are both stars at the top of their games.
  4. Is this live on CNN or the other news networks? edit: yes
  5. We have some hardcore Lafayette guys at the top of my department. I think my company is just patronizing them at this point. A few thousand bucks to retain some key guys is nothing to them. Anybody that has worked with Louisiana natives will tell you they talk about 2 things: food and how the officials have it out for LSU.
  6. I mean we’ll see. The Houthis have handed the Iranians a playbook on how to befuddle a much more advanced military force. Not putting important stuff in fixed targets is a good start but… Iran is a pretty developed nation. Israel should hit their power grid and go from there.
  7. Oh they’re 1000% bringing back the bonfire. Only this time Colliers or Alamo will be building it supervised by attorneys and insurance adjusters. Corps turds will still wear their painted overalls and hard hats, but observe from a safe distance.
  8. Iron Dome is better than anything we have, so I doubt many drones get through, but… some will. Israel can hit any target they want in Iran so their response will be interesting.
  9. Sort of the same. This coach was pretty clever. He waited until they graduated and then banged them during the summer before they left for school. Also picked up some ass on holidays when they were home from college. Much like Wooderson, he kept getting older and chicks remained the same age.
  10. Probably the only guy that could play Farley, so they’re off to a good start.
  11. My department had a boil a couple weeks back. The molting/dead loss thing is for real, every other mudbug was rubbery. The seasoning was dialed in so I’ll give them credit for that. They mysteriously ran out of sausage very early in the boil. I’ll go to BB’s for lunch in early May and call it a season.
  12. Basically a I Think You Should Leave sketch on SNL. I love it.
  13. It was a Finals game if I remember correctly. We had to listen to large portions of the game on the radio. Gene was the best.
  14. aggy wishes they were Auburn West. Auburn occasionally cheats themselves into a national championship a couple times a century.
  15. Looks like I missed my window to see it again in IMAX. Oh well, I hope there’s another release before award season.
  16. Also Jared Leto doing a 150 minute Chef Boyardee impression is a choice.
  17. Small town locations are always better because their employees have limited options and actually give a shit. I’m looking at you La Grange for always slamming and going hard .
  18. I’m glad it worked out for you buddy. Cali and the Asiatown places are a bitch to get to if you’re just passing through. Roostar might not be the best, but it’s damn good and convenient. Roostar is right by the old school strip of Asian restaurants on Long Point. Terrific Korean food across the street, and the GOAT Thai Racha was over there too. RIP. Thai Racha might have been the best Thai restaurant in the city when I was growing up. Typical Houston. Renovated Church’s Chicken location with a drive thru. It looked like a divey shit hole and only took cash.
  19. The original is for sure better than the second location on Richmond. Lemon pepper wings might be the best in city. I’d skip the boxes, apps, and soups. Curry is fine, but they really shine on banh mi and the wings. The ribeye and pork banh mi are terrific.
  20. Lilith is hot. The horse has been beaten to death. I guess Mel is the closest we’ll get to Maris depicted on film. Tom Hanks calling in some favorA to get Rita cast as Frasier’s date AND mother must have been a fun conversation.
  21. Car alarm guy needs to commit seppuku immediately.
  22. edit: Probably just going to go to Roma and load up on picks. I believe the owner allows you to sample any pick before you buy it. I hope I run into some old Discovery 11.
  23. Longhorn is underrated. Some of the biggest lollipop lamb chops I’ve seen for $26. Rest in Power Longhorn Steakhouse KC 14 year picks.
