  1. RE: OP’s original post, new tenders are good. The sauce is very good.
  2. This. McGriddle, sausage only slams. Sausage and biscuit with a hash brown. Drive home and fry an egg, and slap it on there.
  3. Great, great scene and faithful to the book. It was certainly a high point.
  4. Yeah, based on the maps not too much topography. They should filmed most of it around Palo Duro Canyon.
  5. Noted, but Comancheria went up to Colorado and New Mexico, so I’ll let it slide.
  6. The author of The Empire of Summer Moon S.C. Gwynne is featured in the Comancheria episode. I wonder what they cut because it’s a pretty mild interview for Gwynne. Of course, the History Channel dug up some distant relative of Quannah Parker to balance Gwynne. Is the Comanche were a noble people really a PR campaign now? Because, Jesus Johnny.
  7. Can Hollywood stop casting Carrell in everything? He’s thinner, grayer, and has a cool beard, but he’s basically playing Michael Scott as Willy Wonka in Mountainhead.
  8. Bama got smoked by a dogshit OU team late in the season. They had no business even being considered for the CFP. The fact that DeBoer is still bitching about it is bizarre and sad. I respected this guy after he beat us in the CFP. South Carolina had a compelling case based on vibes, winning streak, and beating an eventual CFP team Clemson. But Ole Miss smoked them, and the Bama loss defies imagination in different ways to lose.
  9. Probably a question for the mods, or CTJ, but it feels like aggy fundraising is way down. Somebody important stopped writing checks. Retaining Earley is just the latest in flashing red lights that they’re broke.
  10. No Stapleton on the first page. Be better surly. Charlie Pride Waylon Cash Hank Williams Honorable mention to Jerry Jeff Walker. Not sure if he’s the best vocalist, but I love his voice and his sound.
  11. The Lawrence comparison has been used by a few national voices. I’m here for it. Lawrence won a national title.
  12. Agree on the nice, neat wrap up sentiments in the finale. It’s a more interesting show if Coop goes down and Olivia Munn just leaves him twisting in the can. Pretty obvious that Coop is going to open his own shop after choosing his sister over closing the Swiss. I’m glad they’re bringing attention to it, but his sister’s struggles with bipolar are a tough watch. Season 2 will be interesting. Does it want to be a fun wealth porn/ pop culture reference show like Billions or does it go darker and chase Emmys?
  13. Hat tip to Kendall Rogers was exposing Trev/aggy money issues to a national audience. If Elko struggles they are uniquely fucked. They probably couldn’t afford to move on from him until completing the Jimbo buy out, right?
  14. Thanks for the recs guys. I’d be careful at the Pit Room Memorial. I wanted 2 dino bones for the dogs. I got one hall of fame beef rib and the other was pretty lean, not much meat, and dry. Moist brisket was point. Beef sausage was a little mushy, but mostly fine. It’s a small thing, but I hate their sauce. I’d probably give it a B compared to its peers in Texas, but definitely an A- in Houston.
  15. Conversely, the daughter is a newfound daddy’s girl after Ansari level bad sex.
  16. All The Right Moves. Craig T. Nelson should have taken the safety. Tom Cruise and Sheldon Cooper ended up at the same school. Good stuff.
  17. Not so controversial take: Leslie Jones was an elite cast member. Deeply terrible outside of Studio 8H.
  18. I’m coming around on the Illinois kid after listening to a couple podcasts. That said, he probably won’t contribute in 2026. Not sure if that’s what the team needs right now.
  19. Nice pop at 104 proof. I really like the texture and taste on the palette. Solid finish. Root beer notes.
  20. I like Innkeeper’s better, but this is a damn good pour. I wish Dedman would release a 120+ proof bottle.
  21. Yeah I don’t get her point. Bourdain would probably suggest waking a few extra blocks for a better falafel stand. Or skip TGI Fridays in the hotel and try this bar with saw dust floors and shots around the corner. He was never about repelling out of helicopters for pho. A Cook’s Tour and No Reservations followed a familiar pattern. Local street food, beloved dive, fine cuisine, and the home made family meal. I guess if she’s only familiar with Parts Unknown then she might arrive at that conclusion. CNN and their big budget leaned into the adventure more than the food.
  22. Saw that Summer School is PG-13 and stars I assume, a mostly fully clothed Kirstie Alley. What am I missing here?
  23. The Order is pretty, pretty good. Jude Law plays a FBI agent trying to take down a white supremacist bank robbery crew in Idaho in the 80’s. Disney + and Hulu.
  24. More Houston sucks and has no prospects bullshit. Seriously man, are you an aggy?
