  1. I’ll give Urbe some love on here. Best guacamole I’ve ever eaten. It has some very niche menu items, but they also knock the classics out of the park. An additional shout out to Guadalajara. It is what is there, but their bacon wrapped quail is the best. I mentioned Mi Somberero in the Tex Mex thread. The Tommy Tacos are a 10.
  2. The original Lupe’s on 6 is probably my favorite Tex Mex spot in the city. I’d eat there a couple times a week if I worked at BP. Quality and prices are better than any other location. My second favorite place I’ll keep to myself. It’s in a very busy part of town, but it’s abandoned at lunch during the week. I’d like to keep it that way.
  3. We talking chicken fajitas or beef? Looks like $60 for large beef fajitas.
  4. I don’t know to feel about El T. They could sell margaritas and tacos at the Juice Box and NRG and continue to exist forever. I’ve had so many good meals at the Washington and Gessner locations. One of the few places with pork fajitas and brisket crunchy tacos. I agree their prices are insane. I remember paying $15 take out fees during Covid, and becoming deeply bitter. But I still remember carne asada + 2 rita lunches for like $30 back in the day. I think Los Tios is the same quality and much cheaper. They have $10 lunch specials. Happy Hour ritas are like 5 bucks. I think we’d all be wise to stop ordering fajitas and go back to the old school combo plates at little neighborhood places.
  5. Travis Scott is also selling Coug High and aggy merch, but I don’t see anything about him visiting in person. I’m not a fan, but it’s good publicity targeted at recruits. Plus he’s not Drake so no curse.
  6. I think my plan is rewatch We Own This City again to laugh my ass at Bernthal then Season 2 of The Wire.
  7. Bulleitt 12 Rye remains a banger for 50 bucks. I’m glad they brought it back. Yes it’s MGP rye, but the age and proof are working for me.
  8. That said, if they can’t win a critical head to head with Golden State they have no business being in the postseason.
  9. Smoked the Rockets and then turned around and dropped a winnable game in Golden State on a night the Rockets lost. Thats a 2 game bump for the Warriors.
  10. The Diggs trade is the Vikings pick, right? That pick could easily be 33-39 range. That’s shit value for 1 year. iIt feels like CJ went shopping, and Diggs was the biggest names/most attainable WR available.
  11. Just stick it in the oven and warm. It’s very easy.
  12. Oven was better. I think some have suggested sous vide in this thread or others.
  13. Awesome. While you have access to the time machine, can you tell us if the last season of GOT is any good?
  14. So… they did tho so they didn’t have to pay Nico right?
  15. I liked the final scene. It shattered the myth of a glorious death in battle. Naga seemed like a bitch, and he died a bitch’s death.
  16. Toranaga always has something up his sleeve. Lady Ochiba laid it on pretty thick in the last episode. Imagine Littlefinger with a Stark bloodline and you have Toranaga.
  17. Wait, wait the Blue Jays have ANOTHER fat fuck big leaguer?! What the hell is going on with their S&C Program?
  18. Meh, needed a little salt and pepper too. I could have gotten away with no sauce. Pretty juicy so a drizzle of sauce was more of a taste thing.
  19. Cheryl confronting Larry over floor sex was pretty great, vintage Curb. I didn’t care for the rest of the episode.
  20. Yeah I want to say Nahlin gave Crawford a 5th or 6th round grade.
