  1. FYI, your local HEB might have goat’s milk. My pups absolutely love it.
  2. I find Deliverance… unsettling. But yes a very notable film from 1972.
  3. Bud’s a lot of things. Mainly a hopeless FSU fan, but he’s an attorney and very plugged in. To outright dismiss him would be unwise. Regardless, Tech would be wise to spread it around to build a real roster. The Ojo money likely buys a starting OL for instance.
  4. Good thought exercise. I love watching old John Wayne movies. That’s be tough to leave behind. The problem is he predates much of modern cinema, probably the farthest I could go back is 1972. The Cowboys is a great if heartbreaking film. You’d also get : - The Godfather - Jeremiah Johnson - The Poseidon Adventure - The Candidate - Joe Kidd - Snoopy Come Home - Super Fly - The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean - Across 110th Street (awesome soundtrack)
  5. Bud Elliott thinks Tech is paying a 30% premium to get them to Lubbock in addition to being the only program to offer 3 year guaranteed NIL deals. The Lubbock is a destination city bullshit is nonsensical.
  6. I’m really enjoying Kaitlin Olson’s performance this season. You can tell she’s picked some stuff up from leading a couple network shows. DeVito is probably the only better actor on the show.
  7. Hell yea. Yes. I don’t remember Nasty’s. Let’s get Abel’s $6 Texas Tea on Thursdays a much deserved honorable mention.
  8. Oh yeah. Dude is dying with a gun in his hand. Not sure about A$AP as the co-star/foil but it’s Spike Lee + The GOAT + New York City. They have my full confidence.
  9. He changes his mind all the time. Still waiting for that Star Trek movie for instance. I think he’ll still stick to his retirement plan though. One of his few consistencies.
  10. While we saw it first in Anchorman, the Dennis cologne bit was pretty damned hilarious.
  11. Fincher is directing the Cliff Booth movie with Brad Pitt. QT wrote the script. I wish PTA was doing it because the man understands that era. Fincher feels like a weird fit. Hope it works. I’ll watch regardless.
  12. surly’s attraction to Holly Rowe is the single weirdest thing about this site.
  13. Bravo. I’d give you 100 likes if I could.
  14. I think they’re both pretty out in the open in their Big Ten homerism. Ty is for sure a Franklin skeptic but the guy is all Midwest. Notre Dame and to a lesser degree Penn State are his teams. I think Dan would prefer the old PAC 12 still be intact, but he’s all Big Ten now. I think they’re more fair to the SEC than Cover 3 and that fucking idiot Pat Forde, but they know where their bread is buttered.
  15. Lebby’s son being a fat little shit is the least surprising thing ever.
  16. I am really questioning my fashion choices after seeing Brian Kelly in a Rhoback pullover in every fucking scene.
  17. On Netflix now. Pretty awesome. The Napier/Mertz fall from grace was shockingly fast.
  18. I can’t make it this week, but I plan to eat one last Pico’s lunch next week. Shame. I can’t really imagine anything replacing it.
  19. I knew the crying poverty stuff was bullshit. I hope they keep the RedZone host. He has it down cold.
  20. Insane value. Gusto for: - An every day position player - Left handed bat - Good enough to bat at the top of your lineup. - Can play all 3 OF spots with good arm strength and range. - 27 years old with 2 more years of team control.
  21. Yeah he’ll cross working with PTA off his list soon. I’m sure Tarantino will want him for his last film. Does he want to another Scorsese film? I’m not sure after Flower Moon. He’s already made 6 movies with him. That might be enough. I could see reuniting with Nolan soon. I can’t recall an actor ever being this powerful. He can do whatever he wants and get paid whatever he asks for.
  22. Sads. I had some really good lunches there. Carne asada and cheese enchilada, fresh made corn tortillas. Tamale stand in the parking lot was nice during the Holidays. I haven’t loved their prices recently, but I’ll give it one more run for old times sake.
